Gotta Take the Rubber Game today…Because that Series in The Louie This Weekend is Gonna be Huge!!!

“‘Statement Series” On Deck…! For the weekend

Today will be the Laugher game of the series in our favor…I’m expecting the wind will be blowing out if the winds are from the Southwest which works to our advantage

1st place !!!!!!!!! Marlins and PHILLIES on the bottom (Phillies under .500) !!!!!!!!!!

“…..Yes, I KNOW it’s early…and it’s a long season, as we all learned last year….BUT, with 19% of season done, have the best record on the NL, 1 win behind TEXAS.

I know the “half-fullers” and trolls are just waiting to pounce, but some of us felt that Wren knew what he was doing all along…..”

And have been consistant in that position all along.

I expect nothing. Cubs just took the Dodgers in the series before us, nothing guaranteed.

I expect the Braves to play well in St. Louis though even if it means not winning that series.

TERDO needs to take a step back. The reason it isn’t being done is 3rd rounder JOE LEONARD [.254 BA - 118 AB] I think.

Stick with him a little longer to see, but yes, he does seem to be a little overmatched at AAA. I was surprised they sent him that far, I mean while he did good at High-A, he didn’t exactly have “high school numbers” as Don Sutton would say.

I sort of agree abt that Series This Weekend in The Louie…

The New Busch Stadium has been a House of Horrors for the Braves especially last year, so we are due for a Breakout series in The Louie…

Look only at Freeman’s first 100 ABs at any level, and you would have said he was “overmatched” at every one of them.

I haven’t seen Terdoslavich play at Gwinnett, so I can’t speak knowledgeably as to whether he’s over his head or not. However, I do know that the first month at a level, good or bad, is rarely an indicator of actual ability.

Good to see Kimbrel going with the money pitch to get ahead of batters. Keep throwing the heater to get ahead in the count. Slider is nasty when he sets up hitters with his fastball. He’s going to have a huge year.

I see where Hamilton hits 4 dingers and now the bloggers (some of us) are calling him the best hitter in baseball, and want the Braves to sign him? Come on, lots of baggage with him. Very pricey too.

@raleigh I know Bobby managed in ‘09. I wasn’t blaming this on Fredi, just questioning why it should be done/ many bloggers agree with it. In ‘09 Schafer struggled yet still started basically every day until he was sent down. He hit .204. Rev is hitting .265, almost .300 in last 10 games or so. Heyward in 2010 did well, and I don’t remember him sitting every 5 or so days. Same with Freeman. So I’m just questioning why must the REV be sat every 5 days or so when he is doing better than Schafer and hitting for average like Heyward/Freeman. He’s doing a good job in the 8 spot, I don’t understand throwing Hack Wilson in every 5 days.

Lew
