Shouldve plunked CarGo in the ribs. Ya got to hit somebody. Two plunks is too many
Those fly outs are traveling too far for my liking… according to gameday…
May 6th, 20123:28 pm
A scoreless 1st – nice job, Brandon!
do you honestly expect us to shut them up by actually winning the series?
Phil–No, I never expect to shut up those loud mouth New Yorkers. But for a change, it would be nice for something special to happen in ATL sports, we have had a round last 12 months.
Losing the Thrashers and the Braves collapse were the toughest blows. The NY loudmouths made a deal out of the Falcons playoff fold, and I would be happy to see a resurgence of the late 60’s and 1970’s NY Football Giants. it was great back in those days when those Giants fans had nothing to root for.
Steven Azz Smith and Rob Parker are about as detestable sports personalities in the country. There are others too. Mike Bell locally is pretty detestable as far as making a joke out of sports.
And the 2 Live Stews–well, No Comment.
May 6th, 20123:29 pm
There we go.
See, I was going to say strike him out but I decided not to.
It’s Troy Tulowitzky. He’s pretty good.
Or is it with an “i”?
I don’t know.
The last thing the Braves pitching staff needs is for Beachy to be tossed early in this game. Let the Rockies wait and wonder when the retaliation is coming and who is going to get it.

May 6th, 2012
Just win the game. Let’s do our talking on the field.
May 6th, 20123:32 pm
What’s wrong with a good Rockie plunking AND a win?
Good point by Chip about having cameras in position to get good shots down the line for replay.
May 6th, 20123:34 pm
saw that coming..unfortunately..get’em next time
May 6th, 20123:35 pm
Disgusted: I didn’t realize you could be so reasonable away from the in-game BS. I tip my cap to you.
kenhotlanta–I post with emtion during the game and some of the things I post are not always meant. Like trading Minor for Moylan–of course I sort of said that in anger and jest.
Minor still has upside and should be a solid 200 IP and 12 to 14 game win guy but he is in his learning curve like Delgado and though he is in up yet, Teheran is in the same boat.
No, I would not move Minor for a soon to be SSA benefit applicant. LOL.
May 6th, 20123:37 pm
Great, more freaking walks…
May 6th, 20123:38 pm
Leadoff walk not good, BB.
QUIT walking people. Sheesh.
Some of you idiots are ridiculous. There’s a game going on and all you can talk about is retaliating against a hit batter. Get your heads outta your asses.
How about a replay of the “throw it at Pascual” game.
May 6th, 20123:39 pm
Don’t ask….fluff feature works fine on my new cuddyer
May 6th, 20123:41 pm
I have a feeling BB is going to get Coors’d today.
Come on Brandon.
May 6th, 20123:42 pm
BB is all over the place early.
May 6th, 20123:43 pm
May 6th, 20123:45 pm
Good job BB. But, have to get the ball down going forward. Let’s score a couple here. Why not?
May 6th, 20123:46 pm
I am positive of this–all or certainly most Rockies’ thoughts re: Chipper do not reflect a position apparently held by Moyer…I say no beaning warranted and let’s get behind Brandon to do his thing this game. Let the other crap go!
May 6th, 20123:47 pm
Great pitching there Beachy…just stop walking folks..at least with less than two out..easier to come back from solo homers than with men on base …course the past two nights that’s been proven wrong but we don’t want to press our luck.
Beachey is another guy on this staff still in his learning curve.
And he will have his hiccups this yr.
May 6th, 20123:48 pm
A line drive base hit by Pastornicky is what we need now.
May 6th, 20123:49 pm
Dale Murphy, or Andruw?
When did the silver slugger award even start?
May 6th, 20123:50 pm
Hey blog….am I correct in thinking Brandon and Huddy are our best hitting pitchers?
May 6th, 20123:51 pm
Chipper rips Moyer over sign-stealing accusation
Good job, Michael!
Livian or Meldeen
May 6th, 20123:53 pm
Get even Freddie.
See, Bourny, you have to steal! Another reason why Chipper should be in the 2 hole when he plays. Come on, FF…launch one!
looks like both these teams are just plum tuckered out by all the base running the last two games
Okay, I know it’s early but this would count as a clutch hit if we could get it.
Might be nice to have an early lead for once.
That’s how you deal with that!
Freddie Freeman pummelled that ball. Did it bring rain?
Ha, hit Freddie will ya
Throw at him again, Nicosia
May 6th, 20123:54 pm
The Braves sure are getting DOUBLE PITS TO CHESTY with it lately.
That’s what I call a good way to respond!!
THE BEST REVENGE!!!!!
take that plunkers
Hey what was the answer to the trivia question last night
now, let’s see if Beachy can throw strikes in the bottom half of the inning.
Would be nice for Chipper or McDowell to remind the young pitcher
That’s how we respond, baby!
early leads have been losers here so far, might be too much pressure
Wonder what team might go after FF when he becomes a free agent.?
May 6th, 20123:55 pm
Just seconds before that bomb, I said on my FB group, “exact revenge for that plunking with a 3-run jack.” Yeah, I called it
That’s 8 homers for Freeman against Rockies in just 44 at-bats. His high is 2 homers against any NL East opponent.
May 6th, 20123:56 pm
answer to trivia was Livan…
Come on, Uggla. What the heck…he might need a day off. He is struggling lately.
May 6th, 2012
Not even close. Livan is a beast with the stick.
Freddie now 2 off the MLB lead in RBI
May 6th, 20123:57 pm
I’ll tell you what, guys…
Freeman is the real deal. This kid, in year two, is near the dynamo we thought Heyward would be. And defensively, he is one of the best in the NL.
I still think Heyward can be special, but Freeman is special NOW.
I called it on here.
May 6th, 20124:01 pm
You would think that sooner or later all these fly balls will start to hurt Beachy in Coors Field. Might be nice to get the ball down.
May 6th, 20124:02 pm
strong work by Beachy to get a quick inning there
How about a J-Hey bomb to go with it?
Do they mean the last person to do it as a Brave?
Nice play, Brandon!
May 6th, 20124:03 pm
That’s what I’m talking about. BB is being an example of how to pitch..shut them down after you get a few runs..and don’t walk anyone…course the ball doesn’t seem to be carrying like the past two nights.
May 6th, 20124:04 pm
Probably as ‘remote’ a spot for fans is that center field elevated mini-bleacher at Coors…no I am not counting Wrigley Field—of the newer stadiums?
May 6th, 20124:05 pm
May 6th, 2012
not sure what you are referring to…….
The A Bomb
Heyward’s pitch selection looks so much better.
Shut up Chris.
Nice AB, J-Hey!
May 6th, 20124:06 pm
Don’t think Livan won a Gold Glove. And anyway, the question said “the last Brave”. Livan wasn’t a Brave before now.
Wow great quotes from Chipper regarding Moyer’s accusations. He handled it perfectly. And I love the oblique dig at the Phils.
The trivia question. Who was the last Brave to win the SS, GG, and be an AS in the same year?
May 6th, 20124:07 pm
I heard that Wren was interested in signing Richie Sexson. I like it! Could be a big bat off the bench!
Chipper is the only 3rd basemen in the history of the game to have a slash line of .300/.400/.500. There are a few things that he is the only switch hitter in the history of the game to do as well. How, exactly, is he a borderline 1st ballot HOF? No brainer in my book.
Nice hit, Juan!
May 6th, 20124:08 pm
I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about Francisco but the kid isn’t that bad
Good job, Francisco (and good for JHey drawing the walk)!
Nice hit, D-Ro!!!
ah, I only have the Rockies feed today
Heyward should have scored there. CarGo had let the ball play him an he was flat footed. Wouldn’t have been able to get anything on the throw.
GatorMike, where did you hear that?
May 6th, 20124:09 pm
Well done, Ross!
station to station O so far this inning
Time for a Rev slam! It’s Sunday, after all
right call to hold Heyward at 3B. He would have been out at home. Bases Loaded, nobody out. The old nemesis is back
SEPARATED AT BIRTH: Bob Apodaca and Lee Corso.
May 6th, 20124:10 pm
I was thinking Andruw
Come on Tyler.
May 6th, 20124:11 pm
Andruw in 2005 when he hit 51 HRs.
he swung at ball four
Could be Andruw
May 6th, 20124:12 pm
Andruw in 2005 not only did all that but was player of the year IIRC
It’s gotta be Andruw.
TP, you swung at ball four.
