do you honestly expect us to shut them up by actually winning the series?
Phil–No, I never expect to shut up those loud mouth New Yorkers. But for a change, it would be nice for something special to happen in ATL sports, we have had a round last 12 months.
Losing the Thrashers and the Braves collapse were the toughest blows. The NY loudmouths made a deal out of the Falcons playoff fold, and I would be happy to see a resurgence of the late 60’s and 1970’s NY Football Giants. it was great back in those days when those Giants fans had nothing to root for.
Steven Azz Smith and Rob Parker are about as detestable sports personalities in the country. There are others too. Mike Bell locally is pretty detestable as far as making a joke out of sports.
The last thing the Braves pitching staff needs is for Beachy to be tossed early in this game. Let the Rockies wait and wonder when the retaliation is coming and who is going to get it.
Disgusted: I didn’t realize you could be so reasonable away from the in-game BS. I tip my cap to you.
kenhotlanta–I post with emtion during the game and some of the things I post are not always meant. Like trading Minor for Moylan–of course I sort of said that in anger and jest.
Minor still has upside and should be a solid 200 IP and 12 to 14 game win guy but he is in his learning curve like Delgado and though he is in up yet, Teheran is in the same boat.
No, I would not move Minor for a soon to be SSA benefit applicant. LOL.
Some of you idiots are ridiculous. There’s a game going on and all you can talk about is retaliating against a hit batter. Get your heads outta your asses.
I am positive of this–all or certainly most Rockies’ thoughts re: Chipper do not reflect a position apparently held by Moyer…I say no beaning warranted and let’s get behind Brandon to do his thing this game. Let the other crap go!
Great pitching there Beachy…just stop walking folks..at least with less than two out..easier to come back from solo homers than with men on base …course the past two nights that’s been proven wrong but we don’t want to press our luck.
I’ll tell you what, guys…
Freeman is the real deal. This kid, in year two, is near the dynamo we thought Heyward would be. And defensively, he is one of the best in the NL.
I still think Heyward can be special, but Freeman is special NOW.
That’s what I’m talking about. BB is being an example of how to pitch..shut them down after you get a few runs..and don’t walk anyone…course the ball doesn’t seem to be carrying like the past two nights.
Chipper is the only 3rd basemen in the history of the game to have a slash line of .300/.400/.500. There are a few things that he is the only switch hitter in the history of the game to do as well. How, exactly, is he a borderline 1st ballot HOF? No brainer in my book.
