Here;s a thought, and stop me before I start to sound like a broken record, but how ’bout the National League’s highest scoring team put up some runs for their ace pitcher making his first start of the season coming back from back surgery.
You know, might be nice.
How about give the guy a little room to work with so he doesn’t have to throw a shut out to get a win.
Second double play in a row for Prado. Freddy needs to have him take a few pitches and let MB run. I know Prado does not like him on base “dancing”, but come on. Double plays last year and this year do not cut it.
Again, Bourn never tries to steal early in the count wnen Prado is hitting, and the Braves never employ the hikt an run (Last night h 3-2 pitch and Prado was just trying to hit the ball where pitched.)
Pastor Tylernicky is just the opposite of what I said he would be at the start of the season. I told someone he would be strong on defense and weak on offense. Lately with his hitting come around he is acceptable on offense and very weak on defense. First time I saw him thought he would be a better 2nd baseman, or with some more weight a 3rd baseman. Was not a fan of Gonzalez but he got to balls last year than TP is not coming close to. He is slow, no range. Has not impressed me at all in the field.
Right now, that’s not a concern because Simmons has not been hitting much, although he seems to be playing better recently. I don’t see the Braves rushing him though
And this is what I was afraid we were gonna see today from Hudson. That and poor defense from shortstop and another ball getting by McCann is a bad problem to have.
Ah, yes, Blog gonna implode over BMac’s missing the ball, even though the run woulda scored anyway and y’all were nowhere to be found when that one got away last night? (ITS)
Be glad when Paster has 3-5 years under his belt. Defensively, he’s a way below average major league SS. He’ll get better with age and experience, but right now watching him makes me long for…. Gonzo or just about anyone other than Paster.
1B ERNIE MEJIA [.269 BA] 2-4, 1 R, 1 HR [3], 2 RBI [15], 2 BB. ERNIE’s right on schedule. Excels early on, then has a swoon, followed by a slow recovery at the plate over the course of the balance of the season to finish in the .290-.310 BA area with good power numbers and high RBI’s……
3B JOE TERDOSLAVICH [.233 BA] 2-4, 2 R, 1 HR [3], 2 RBI [9], 1 BB. Bombs one while raising his BA 33 points after touching the mendoza-line. He’s made an adjustment at the plate. To any opposing pitcher……TAG, you’re it!
2B JOSH WILSON [.260 BA] 1-4, 1 SO. Slowly raising his BA.
