In Arkansas (and I suspect LA), the weather doesn’t make basements viable.
The whole “basement” crowd is discriminating against loosers who live in their parents’ spare room or the room over the garage.

I had a basement when I lived in Chicago… wasn’t all that great. I can’t imagine living in one. But if I did I could see how it would make one all internet angry. No sunlight, that basement smell, etc.
