Oh for the days in LA when Bulldog Hershiser got paid $2M per year for 3 years which was a LOT of money and the Dodgies were really actually great, riots, kind of like those started in Barcelona tonight cause those Catalonian girls got beaten by the mighty Londoners Chelsea FC
If the Braves came out and said, “were willing to eat 90% of Jurrjens remaining contract if you take him” I’m sure a bunch of teams would take the low risk opportunity
really? only if we took almost nothing back in return, and why would we do that is we aren’t saving salary or getting a useful prospect?
Look if Carlos Zambrano, John Rocker, Mike Hampton, Zach Grienke, Brandon Webb, Eric Gange can get traded, after suffering slumps, or coming off injuries then Jurrjens can be traded you just have to realize what to expect in return and find a team that is desparate for a number 4 or 5 pitcher.
The best trae for a SS for the Braves probaly would be JJ Hardy, but the braves would have to take on more salary because Hardy is gettin paid 8 mil a season.

Yea cabravesfan I know this but you have to view them a similar situations. Now even at .180 JJ Hardy is still BETTER than Tyler Pastornicky. plus he is a better defender and has way more power. So It would be a low risk trade as well
Back when all those announcers were doing radio and tv, they rotated. Half a game on radio alternating between announcer and color man with your partner. Half way through the game the two man teams swapped and tv went to radio and radio went to tv. Milo Hamiltion feft he was so important that he overrode the opportunities others deserved to call Aaron’s 715. He demanded and got permission to call every ab Henry Aaron had to break the record, which didn’t take long, I think he hit Al Downing with the Dodgers in the first home series of the season. (But there was the last of the previous season that was the same way).
Dogsbrekky – I liked Skip and he was the voice of the Braves. But I will always give Chip Carey the benefit of the doubt because Skip just like his dad Harry was a raging alcoholic. Skip got it under control later in life, but Chip grew up with a Grandfather and father that were both severely alcoholic and Chip overcame their influence to become a good father and family man.

Man, I remember Vans. All the punk rock cats in HS wore them. We made fun of them and then in college started wearing them as we listened to “post punk” which was essentially alternative (i.e. REM, etc.).
