Its time for Prado to come up big hes overdue
April 25th, 201212:11 am
this is the majors, even the worst are capable of good plays at times
Not a fan of Uggla.
Mixxo may have turned a new leaf… idk.
April 25th, 201212:12 am
Our complaints of ugglas uggliness is mute theres nothing to do about it
30 errors at 2B would land someone in LF
Hanson….I hate his whole face n’ stuff!
7-1 Phillies lead now 8-5…
Maybe Uggla should stop curling dumbells and eating spinach and spend some time doing basic fielding drills.
we can hit some pop ups
LHP. Offense is done.
April 25th, 201212:13 am
This team should be renamed the Atlanta Popups
Uggla isn’t that bad at 2nd from what I’ve seen of him as a Brave. He does look way out of place with a glove in his hand, but he’s ok I guess.
April 25th, 201212:14 am
Dodgers have 9 outs to play with, We just have 6 outs.
Probablity isn’t on our side right now.
Uggla should have turned that double play. Pathetic throw.
…and the Braves go down quietly in the 7th….
April 25th, 201212:15 am
Not wanting to argue, but were you here last week?
The advance defensive metrics on Uggla tell a bad story of him.
April 25th, 201212:16 am
strong start by Minor. Got some help with double plays but really made 2 bad pitches – one to Rivera and one later to Kemp that he relatively got away with. Minor is here to stay. Really strong to pitch through the early home run and pitch out of some tough jams to a very hot team
get some glasses Brian…..
I hope Meldin isn’t wild with so little work
April 25th, 201212:17 am
this brian would like to see Uggla in LF though it will never happen
79 pitches for Minor, so he could have worked into the 7th, which is encouraging…
If he doesn’t start soon…I bet Meds can fill in @2nd.
Meldin – that is new nolie
April 25th, 201212:18 am
meds need to settle down…
“Not wanting to argue, but were you here last week?”
No, but I think this version of the offense we’ve all come to know and love is closer to the real thing.
jacked up for the home folks
Feeling great remorse for what I did earlier…
polished outing from minor. 6 innings 79 pitches and 0 walks.
April 25th, 201212:19 am
Nice play, but again with the throw.
He does like the dirt @DS.
Can we just give the Gold Glove to Freeman
April 25th, 201212:20 am
Efforting to keep whatever distance in the 2012 standings exists between myself and the person sitting next to me…
Uggla owes Freeman a steak dinner. Or at least a bowl from Orochon Ramen.
Is this stupid Ellis on drugs or something?
“this brian would like to see Uggla in LF though it will never happen”
It’s really not as simple as that…
I was a shortstop. I really sucked in the OF. If you can’t judge a fly ball off a bat, then it’s not pretty.
One step in on a ball going deep is a disaster. One step back on a ball falling in is weak too.
I’ll just go on record… Uggla would suck in LF, and who would play 2b? Prado.
The problem is that Uggla is on the team at all, Prado should be on 2b and we should have an actual LF.
And I posted 4 separate thoughts in one post…
Looking at his reaction, I think Dan is as sick of his throwing as the fans are.
April 25th, 201212:21 am
well hopefully he didnt take Medlen out too early
seriously that is an awful call
Fredi musta thunk that Meds was getting tired…
@VJ…self-improvement course offered thru Cal Tech.
It’s KENNEDY, my god, leave Meds in !
Dan’s just having a bad day – he’s a bad defender but not this bad.
I think Medlen was gassed.
April 25th, 201212:22 am
Didn’t Shaun say last week that Freeman doesn’t scoop enough bad throws to make up for his lack of range?
Our boy Mark Kotsay, tying run on 3rd vs Nats, 12 pitch at bat (unfortunately, popped out)…
April 25th, 201212:23 am
Nice job, EOF!!!
EOF where you been?
April 25th, 201212:24 am
I hope I’m never in a foxhole with Dan as he is attempting to throw a grenade.
holy crap somebody through the ball to 1B and it didnt bounce
good point count. I caught and played first every so often just fine, but the few times I played right were disasters in my mind. I just could not get the hang of judging a fly ball right off the bat. Chipper was not all that great in left. it happens
Can Of Corn
Mastermind Fredi is at it again. Taking Medlen out to pitch to Kennedy.
April 25th, 201212:25 am
The Braves were close to trading Jair Jurrjens and Jairo Asencio to the Reds for Chris Heisey and Juan Francisco this offseason, reports MLB.com’s Mark Bowman.
From MLBTR, very interesting.
April 25th, 201212:26 am
@TNScott…you talkin Bottle of Gatorade?
April 25th, 201212:27 am
Phillies incompetence just enough to get a save for Papelbon by letting the game get within 3 runs…
RHP. Our chances got somewhat better.
April 25th, 201212:28 am
No a hand grenade. Lol
Where does LA keep finding these big pitchers?
And his cutter looks like no fun at all to hit. Not Mo Rivera-sharp, but still no picnic.
Nighttime in Dodger Stadium.
April 25th, 201212:29 am
quintessential Mac at bat.
park plays large at night.
C’mon bean one Dan
send mac down.
I really can’t believe they are doing the wave – which they have done when I was there – not exactly the cutting edge LA should represent…
Whaat an awful swing.
April 25th, 201212:30 am
Good job, Dan.
quintessential uggla at bat
…and send Uggs with him.
Nice job doing nothing, Uggla.
For some reason, Dan Uggla is really getting on my nerves lately.
April 25th, 201212:31 am
At the end of the season, will Dan have more errors than homers as he currently does?
April 25th, 201212:32 am
Our best hitter is a 40-year-old with no wheels.
Good at bat, Chipper…
Granted that 40-year-old is a HOFer, but still.
quintessential Chipper at bat
another meaningless walk
April 25th, 201212:33 am
Uggla has AL DH written all over him.He is our Adam Dunn.
gonna miss that chipper smirk when he is at bat.
I hope heyward doesnt double here
Powder Blue – Our best hitter is a 40-year-old with no wheels.
Worked for the Giants for a while.
April 25th, 201212:34 am
Missed by a mile.
Swipe one Hoss!
April 25th, 201212:35 am
“Worked for the Giants for a while.”
I’m not touching that one.
Heyward didn’t carry on….
Jey hey punked by 96. Chosen one. Hardly!
Back to normal. The offense, that is.
I’m just glad chipper didn’t have to run…
Cap: Where's My Tip
April 25th, 201212:37 am
good news is that Kemp can’t yet beat them with a walkoff, don’t feel like reliving that right now
Any time Kemp is up thats when there is fear
longer this tie goes on the better chance the home team has of winning
Bedtime. Another good effort by Minor, and the birthday boy delivered. Hope there are some runs left in those Atlanta bats. Goodnight, all.
Extra innings? Early 2am-ish finish ET?
This Gordon is annoying the hell out of me. He is a difference maker for the Dodgers
April 25th, 201212:38 am
Powder Blue – I would have been disappointed if you did touch that one.
Gordon may be the scrawniest MLB player I’ve ever seen
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
