JJ is worse than Lowe right now. We would be better off just getting him off the team even if we get nothing in return. We give ourselves zero chance 1 out of every 5 games. Not going to make the playoffs doing that. Hell we probably make the playoffs last year if we would have just quit pitching Lowe the final month.
If Juan can lock down the 3b platoon, like he already should have, and if Prado is in LF for 155 games, like he should be, then we are solid everywhere else.
Pastornicky may still be serviceable. It’s too early to call him a lost cause.
I said the whole game that there is something seriously wrong with JJ tonight. He needed to throw a decent game, and he took a huge step backwards, IMO. There is something wrong. He is not finishing his pitches. I would think it has to be physical, not mechanical.

@Yunels frosted tips…….there is nothing affirmative about that post-game show that a 1st grader wouldn’t believe—Fredi, by the way adds to the flavor of this elementary school choir performance.

Hey, I like Ross, but go back and look at his numbers for his career. Rossy would tell you that when Mac is healthy, he needs to play every game (except for his weekly rest day).
Nothing against Ross, cause he is a top notch back up.
I never paid any attention to BC’s post game quotes. He didn’t throw his players under the bus. I don’t have an issue with Fredi doing the same.

With the Dodger announcer saying he thought he looked different, why are we not hearing that from the Braves org? Or is he just mistaken, and Jurrjens is extending just like he was last year.
The guys said it looked like he was standing up straight after his release. I wasn’t watching, so I really don’t know.

I wonder why we aren’t hearing this from the Braves. I’m kinda getting tired of the BS quotes about not having any issues. Sounds like he needs a confidence boosting trip to Gwinnett.
Geesh, what a dismal effort from JJ. The guy doesn’t even look like the same pitcher who dominated early on last season. Jurrjens stuff is straight, up in in the zone and way to hittable. Then combined with all those bloop hits the Dodgers were dropping over our infield didn’t allow JJ any luck at all.
David Ross was just about the only bright spot although Freeman looks like he’s swinging at beach balls. Fredi is locked in at the moment. Uggla once again reminded me of why he belongs in LF, dude can swing the stick but he ate a couple of ground balls tonight.
That said, the use of Livan Hernandez as our long man is looking like a smart move on the part of Frank Wren. The Cuban is eating some much needed innings, and the key moment in this ball game was when Jason Heyward struck out with the bases loaded in the first inning. Letting Capuano off the hook.
Better luck tomorrow, maybe Chipper can actually give it a go too!
Much different than the game last season Wayne — He was ripe for the taking but no big hits. And JJ had 1 shutdown inning that caused heart palpitations.
