(Dang I wish these keyboards had a SARCASM key) Youse guys has to member that yestiddy wuz only one mudder of a game. How many youse tink dat loosing jus one bummer of a game will screw up a hole seeson? WAITJUSADANGMINITE!
Or as a famous manager once said, “It matters not when you lose them, they all count the same in the end. Play each game as if it were the last game of the year”. Somebody needs to hammer that into FG’s hard head!

Hey J-MAN; I agree w/ you’re assessment on the instant replay, I think it would be cool if the coach could be allowed 2 challenge flags to throw like for a play such as at 2nd base. I guarantee you the umpires would see the replay, change their call,Bourn safe at second, ain’t no tellin’ what prado would’ve done. So J-MAN, that assessment isn’t that far fetched come to think of it. RIGHT ON Big J! RIGHT ON!

Hey, what is with all the negativity…..I think that Delgado pitched well, despite the slam. we still won the series on the road. Now we have to do the same against the Dodgers. It is just one game and now we all want to fire G and send D down to the minors. I am going to focus on the fact that we won the series on the road and now I hope JJ pitches well get a win today. anger among you guys. relax…

I know you are checking back, so here it is…
it’s called “human nature”. Some folks think that complaining will get you the next close call. However, it may also cause you to NOT get the next close call. Officials/umpires/referees aren’t going to consciously take into account who complains, but it may have an impact subconsciously. It is just as likely to be negative as positive. Some folks on here have pointed out that is was Joe West’s crew. I seriously doubt that had an impact. However, if I had my choice, I would rather NOT be disliked by an umpiring crew. Q: Why would any team or player be “disliked” by an umpire? A: Too much complaining. Q: What are folks on here wanting more of? A: Complaining.

I’m back had to go get some groceries. But Yea I’m the 1 calling for instant replay. Think about it there are so many bang bang plays in baseball or fair foul calls that get missed and Im not saying that the Umpires dont do a good job but even they need help. Just remember how bad Jim Joyce felt for blowing that No hitter from Armando Gallergra. If he had instant replay he would have gotten the call right and wouldnt have had to go through all of that. But It will also stop a lot of corrupt umpires that may be in baseball. Look Tim Donaghy was considered a good ref but when the FBI closed in on him betting on the games he officiated, and would affect the point spread to his favor. Well the same men that bet on NBA games and point spreds also bet on MLB games, and with alot more umpires and a lot more games it would make it easier for an official to get bought off and make some bad calls on purpose. Instant replay would help to regulate any corrupt umpires if there are out there. Also if you have replay you will have less arguments and less managers setting a bad example for kids, if a bad call was made the manager would challange it and the play would get reversed.

It may also be just as likely to be positive as negative.
Just because Joe West is a major A–hole does not necessarily mean, that the rest of his crew are A–holes.
If an ump makes a bad call, it should be pointed out to him, especially a potential game changer, such as the Bourne play. If the ump doesn’t like it or me afterwards, so be it. It’s not a popularity contest, it’s baseaball.
Also, if you let everything go, and NEVER complain about a bad call(as you advocate), perhaps “subconsciously”, that ump is going to give the close calls to your opponent, because your opponent might register a complaint, and the ump KNOWS that you NEVER will.
