Corey I agree with you. He’s getting on base for Jack W and pitchers to drive him in. Also I noticed that Beachy was only around 90-91 his last start also. Is this something the staff is doing to try to protect the starters from injury, or fatigue?
“Heyward has been our best player thus far, hands down. So why hit him 6th and 7th in the lineup? He’s getting on, stealing bases, hitting for power, doing everything right. Sounds like a #3 hitter to me. They will stop pitching to him unless he gets some protection in the lineup. I’d follow Heyward with Chipper and McCann and stick Uggla and Freeman in those 6-7 spots.”
Corey,
Because he was nothing short of dreadfull all of last season and he’s only started in 9 games this season. Let’s give it a few weeks shall we? If he’s still hitting at his current pace and Uggla, McCann and Freeman don’t improve much then he will have earned a move up in the lineup.
I wouldn’t change a thing with him right now to add more pressure or expectations.
If larry jr is the manager next year or any year for that fact, i’ll burn everything “Braves” i own. even my beloved Klesko jersey.

If it will help get rid of you too, I’ll help start the fire….

Face it Braves fans. You don’t have a manager. Did not have much of one when the great Bobby Cox was at the helm. Braves heading back to loser status.

FOUR curves in a row (noted also by Tom Glavine), is NOT smart pitching, especially since the fourth one hung over the plate.

Well if it is a rain out, at least for tonight the Braves won’t lose again to those Mangy Mutts.
