im sorry jim..I hope he pulls through
Minor showed me something tonight…very impressive.
Should have kept Minor in. I don”t trust Venters. He might blow it or come close to blowing it.
Jack Wilson is in the game Lets see what kind of defense he plays.
Good job Mike!
April 14th, 20129:18 pm
That was a nice effort from Minor. I just wish the Braves could distance themselves from their opponents to allow their pitchers more margin for error in the late innings.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Did a great job, Mike!
Now let’s hold ‘em here!…
venters makes me nervous too…he has blown a lot of saves
April 14th, 20129:19 pm
I’m hoping the best Venters shows up.
Venters better not lose it.
April 14th, 20129:20 pm
there ya go…thats why i didnt want minor to come out
April 14th, 20129:21 pm
91 92 from Venters, hmm
nolie – no – why moan and groan until we’re sure it was the wrong thing to do?
Chris from the Rock
6-4-3 coming right up.
The A Bomb
Looks like in honor of the ‘66 unis Venters aiming for the vulture win.
There is nothing that comes easy for this baseball team.
At least the single didn’t score Lecroy or whatever the heck his name is.
April 14th, 20129:22 pm
Well done, JV and Mac…
That a baby!!!
Nice play. Catcher running home on that. Idiot
Nicely DONE!!! Great play…
Oh well, I’ll take that.
That dude just got ’smoked’ by the Venters.
April 14th, 20129:23 pm
crap i feel i game tying double here
Game should be tied. Lucky!!!
This has to be painful for Minor.
April 14th, 20129:24 pm
should have kept minor in…he looks mad
Dumb baserunning. Dumb fielding. That’s the real Uggla.
A dumb inning.
Awful play by Uggla,he has to keep that ball in his pocket. More bad luck for Venters
Jonny about to f this one up again. Still got his September best going.
There it goes..
April 14th, 20129:25 pm
This loss is on Venters and Uggla.
count_schemula: Lester Bangs was a great Rock and Roll writer and critic with a totally unique style. He is still missed.
venters can never get them 1 2 3….i dont know why everyone thinks he is so good
This is very nerve racking.
Venters seems to be getting his pitches up too often
Jonny about to f this one up again
A bloop and 2 pathetically weak ground balls – do you have any idea what you are talking about?
I wasn’t aware we were losing
April 14th, 20129:26 pm
Drama but we still got da leaddddddddddd
Whoa. That was beautiful…
why not pinch hit Hinske for Pastornicky in the bottom of the 7th w/ 2 out, Francisco on 1st…especially since Fredi replaced Pastornicky with Wilson for defensive purposes in the top of the 8th.
Hinske would have given a lefty/righty matchup against marcum, and the Brewers only had a righty (Veras) warming up.
whewwww…..now we need some runs for minor
Great recovery, JV.
And the vulture flies away.
April 14th, 20129:27 pm
A bloop and 2 pathetically weak ground balls – seriously?
cabraves we arent losing…we just didnt want venters to lose the potential hard earned win for minor
Crisfrom Sac and Nick….two guys who are never right. Great calls boys.
April 14th, 20129:28 pm
venicejim…yes seriously..venters always gives up hits and runs…you never know if he is going to blow it or save it
Dare I say, “A little insurance couldn’t hurt.”
would like to see one easy game just one.
Ya VENICE JIM
Jonny’s has been bad this year and since September. Never a clean inning. Your the idiot.
I have never liked seeing Venters pitch. Not even through gameday. So much drama with that dude on the mound.
That was directed at nick.
Time for some insurance.
April 14th, 20129:29 pm
oh no worries cabraves…..
April 14th, 20129:30 pm
no manager is likely to let Minor stay in at 100 pitches thrown this early in the year when he gives up a double
Anyone watching on PeachtreeTV see the moon behind home plate? ….nevermind, she sat down…
Venice Jim and cabravesfan — there is a distinct difference between our part of California and his. Consider that as you analyze what he is trying to say.
He keeps mentioning Kool-Aid, which I guess is still a staple up there. Along with Hometown Buffet. Dentistry is supposed to arrive in 2014.
April 14th, 20129:31 pm
Katherine…you’re kidding right? “Venters always gives up runs.”… Really? The guy was one of the best relievers in the game last year and we’ve only played 8 games this year, so when was he giving up all these runs??
State Farm … All State … Geico even.
Let’s get some insurance.
Last I checked, JONNY has not given up a run yet. That’s all that really matters…
Kathrine – Don’t be nervous. Go smoke a bowl or something…
guy had one of the great set up seasons last year IIRC
April 14th, 20129:32 pm
ChrisfromSacramento – exactly what did he do wrong this inning? – answer that, instead of calling me names…
I know, it’s easier to be the way you are than to be logical…
I’m cooking up some Pasta Fazool, but I did want to take a quick second to complain about Uggla’s error and Venters inability have a 1-2-3 inning.
I’ve spent plenty of time in Sacramento over the years…nice town, circa 1985
April 14th, 20129:33 pm
last season at the end of the season venters was awful…and no thanks jesus I dont smoke anything
better than Bakersfield….
Looks like ‘The Beard” might have to have TJ surgery. Suddenly the Braves are one of the healthiest teams in the NL.
April 14th, 20129:34 pm
Was there last year — unfriendliest, unhappiest people in the state.
WHY NO BUNT FROM BOURN. JUST STUPID
Gotcha. Just throwing it out there. Pretty excited about Kimbrel in the ninth….
last year at the end of the season the entire team was awful. at least Venters and Kimble had the excuse of being used too much
nolie — I’ll give you that — it is better than Bakersfield. Or Fresno.
April 14th, 20129:35 pm
another runner in scoring position
Run for Hinske! Get a pitcher in there to run — COME ON GONZALEZ!
I used to live in mission viejo…its a really beautiful area
Why not pinch run for Hinske’s?
kstherine – 8 blown saves in 168 games – you are right, that is horrible…
April 14th, 20129:36 pm
Mission Viejo — beautiful but congested off the 5.
Easy E and JV haven’t been dominant early on…or in ST. Hope they get it going soon. How about some insurance?
April 14th, 20129:37 pm
Its imperative that they get this run in.
venice jim…ok let me rephrase that…when venters is in its not a one two three inning…it always comes close to collapse…he makes me really nervous
third with one out will he score him
oh no not on tird again. the runner shoulda just stayed at second…….
April 14th, 20129:38 pm
dang it..why cant we get the run in from 3rd…not a good at bat by prado
Same ‘ol, same ‘ol. This team just can’t get a runner in from 3rd with less than 2 out. Period. Can’t. do. it.
