Yeah, I am pretty sure we can release Durbin and bring up one of the kids. Umm, I don’t think they are going to be any worse. Hasn’t Durbin let up a HR in all THREE of his appearances this year? I think it is safe to say his veteran presence who knows the division isn’t quite working out.

Just kidding of course. As bad as Durbin has been I would be surprised if the braves release him prior to may 1st. I expect them to give Durbin a good month or so to show he is not terrible

I’m glad Fredi used Durbin in this situation. It was the right call. Six run lead … go get three outs.
The fact that Durbin gave up 3 runs just like that, maybe Wren will realize that Durbin is done. There are surely guys at AAA that can give up three home runs in three appearances.

For real, considering missing the playoffs in the last game of last season…it’s really worth just cutting Durbin and taking the loss. Consider it an expensive but important win. You gotta know when to cut your loses.

Durbin cannot keep a spot on this roster. We aren’t a powerhouse offense that will put up 6 and 7 spots on a regular basis. We don’t have the luxury of carrying a garbage mop up guy. Our games are mostly close affairs. This can’t continue.

Just nasty! I once bought an orde of onion rings from the Varsity and I looked at how saturated they were with grease that I actually took a handful and threw them at the wall. They stuck to the wall. That should be your clue that they are not edible.
