I’m loving Braves baseball right now.
April 15th, 20124:36 pm
God, I hope you are right, Lawton!
"Dur Dur" Durbin
Durbin, homerun in each of 3 appearances…why???? WHY???!!?!
For now, let’s be thankful that we had a game like this, wherein Durbin could pitch like that and not hurt us.
5 in a row!!
durbin reminds me of kolb…remember him….”shudders”
April 15th, 2012
I did not phil…i intimated it…there is a difference lol
it would require being somewhat intimate, yes….lol
And i’m no Varsity fan either…..pure lard.
Durbin needs to be cut. Immediately.
I bet he is still here tomorrow
April 15th, 20124:37 pm
Yeah, I am pretty sure we can release Durbin and bring up one of the kids. Umm, I don’t think they are going to be any worse. Hasn’t Durbin let up a HR in all THREE of his appearances this year? I think it is safe to say his veteran presence who knows the division isn’t quite working out.
With all the incredible arms in the Braves’ system, why do they feel the need to pick up bums like Durbin (and Linebrink & Proctor from past seasons)?
“Gas Can” Durbin manages to get thru the ninth without surrendering the lead.
Braves win fifth in a row!
Flande or Gerrin for Durbin tomorrow PLEASE this guy should not be in MLB.
The Braves scored 7 runs today, and no one scored twice.
Coach (2012 Fredi's beisbol fandango)
Eight innings of near perfect baseball and what do we get…….
Chad (Homerun) Durbin throwing a monkey wrench into the Braves engine. Winning ugly isn’t nearly as fun as dominating.
Durbin is not that bad. Just a bunch of Durbin haters, but I do feel Flande should’ve gotten the job though.
5 in a row….
Did not expect it.
Fire FG anyway!!
April 15th, 20124:38 pm
Carroll – good thing or bad thing?
Just kidding of course. As bad as Durbin has been I would be surprised if the braves release him prior to may 1st. I expect them to give Durbin a good month or so to show he is not terrible
! gnorw em evorp ,knarF nom’C
Just saw the Mauer commercial…..
Seriously, if Durbin doesn’t get his pink slip soon……Frank Wren should.
April 15th, 20124:39 pm
someone wake up freddy Gonzales and let him know the game is over
Actually did away with the lard years ago, Phil. Those were the days, tho. Rings with a glorified? Dang!
Someone wake nolie up. He’s drooling on his keypad again
Durbin in not that bad?! Are you blind, stupid, or both?
Cap: Where's My Tip
not too worried about Durbin, he’ll come around. It’s just 9 games (and he’s only pitched in 3 innings out of those 9 games), so give him so more time … sheesh
costs money to release him….
I’m glad Fredi used Durbin in this situation. It was the right call. Six run lead … go get three outs.
The fact that Durbin gave up 3 runs just like that, maybe Wren will realize that Durbin is done. There are surely guys at AAA that can give up three home runs in three appearances.
April 15th, 20124:40 pm
He had someone go to the varsity in the seventh , Katherine.
Nolie apparently overwhelmed by Dumbin’s wretched showing…
Good win. 5 game winning streak, denizens!
Good call nollie: ‘Thank God that homers are rally-enders….’
Phillies load the bases, top 9, but 2 out. Let’s see if Washington will get their 3 (consecutive?) walkoff win. Let’s hope not.
Got a good laugh outta that, and you are so right. Loved that song back in the day.
Over .500 feels good. No thanks to Chad Durbin for trying to ruin it.
Good job, boys, good job.
better to cost money then games
I’m with that, abeee.
April 15th, 20124:41 pm
Hey dude! Read my whole post instead, of spinning it to your dumb sense……
Tomorrow is Chipper’s debut against the Mets for 2012. Lets hope he’ll kill ‘em like he always has
He’s been pretty bad, Ward.
April 15th, 20124:42 pm
Durbin is possibly the worst Braves pitcher this century. Surely we’ve seen the last of him in a Braves uniform.
Hangin’ Chad Durbin?
zʞuɐɥʇ ʇnq `ǝuıɟ ɯ,ı
i love chipper and his crooked mouth when he talks
For real, considering missing the playoffs in the last game of last season…it’s really worth just cutting Durbin and taking the loss. Consider it an expensive but important win. You gotta know when to cut your loses.
April 15th, 20124:43 pm
Will cost more to keep this bozo…
I agree with nolie that Durbin will likely not be released tomorrow.
One inning saved for the good part of the bullpen. One more data point saying, “release this guy.”
lol hangin chad
Braves don’t like to cost money much
Not matter what Durbin does, the haters will complain about every thing he does. They had it out for him ,before he even started the team. At least I give people chances.
April 15th, 20124:44 pm
yes abeeee go barves!
Does anyone know what happened with Robert Fish? DOB had mentioned him having some arm soreness/pain. If he isnt ready, Gearrin or Flande must be getting ready to join the ML team, anytime now.
Is there a chance that FG keeps putting Durbin into games to win a weiner waving contest with Wren over sticking him on the team or is that too conspiracy theoryish?
April 15th, 20124:45 pm
Flande prolly deserved the shot
That shot of Murph in the booth – I just realized he and my brother-in-law resemble a great deal. My bro-in-law has about 50 lbs on Murph, but the faces and smiles are very similar.
Durbin cannot keep a spot on this roster. We aren’t a powerhouse offense that will put up 6 and 7 spots on a regular basis. We don’t have the luxury of carrying a garbage mop up guy. Our games are mostly close affairs. This can’t continue.
Actually did away with the lard years ago, Phil. Those were the days, tho. Rings with a glorified? @Woody
Just nasty! I once bought an orde of onion rings from the Varsity and I looked at how saturated they were with grease that I actually took a handful and threw them at the wall. They stuck to the wall. That should be your clue that they are not edible.
oh ward…come on now…hanging chad has shown he sucks….
Bat-I would say this game wasn’t great that Durbin pitched, but we have to just see what he can do? I did mention that Flande, should be the one in the bull-pen though.
April 15th, 20124:46 pm
Why do the Braves have to overpay for jackass washup for the bullpen or two every season?? Hello Scott Linestink, Hey there Kyle Fartsworth!
Hanging Chad is he from Fla
They et perfectly well, Jerry.
boy durbin is a jobber. luckily didnt blow the game
April 15th, 20124:47 pm
skeeter a what kind of contest? LOLOLOL
Cris from Sacramento, where you at ?
April 15th, 20124:48 pm
I self censored katherine. you got the gist.
I suspect sacramento Al…just a guess
April 15th, 20124:49 pm
Ooh, that’s pretty cool nolie.
April 15th, 20124:50 pm
If we wouldnt have gotten the two extra runs I wonder if durbin would have been out there at all
Jason looks good – walks, power, etc. The questions about his reworked swing will probably stop now.
when do we play next and against what team and where.?
Me LOVE Vars-hitty!! YUMM YUMM grease food. Make for good good oopsies in field!!!
gotta love the Nats extra innings, terrible broadcasting, terrible umpiring……
Anyway, a win is a win, and the Braves played well. I wouldn’t give up on Durbin yet! Only if he continues this trend.
April 15th, 20124:51 pm
home against the mets nolie..tomorrow
Durbin’s only allowed 1/3 of the home runs we’ve given up this year while pitching about 1/24 of the innings – not too bad, if you look at it a certain way…
nolie, The Mets are next I think?
sheeesh, I coulda looked it up quicker than typing all that.
Me and Durbin, we good friends…we suck it up heap big time together!
April 15th, 20124:53 pm
Marlins, 1st and 3rd, 2 out bottom of the 10th, pitcher Gaudin hits for himself and ends the inning…
heap big time? what tribe are y’all from??
April 15th, 20124:54 pm
Well, good game and the wife is making some of her great fried chicken tonight, so I’m outta here. later guys.
the hollywood stereotype indian tribe
5 wins in a row…..Pretty good.
Me am from FAT tribe…me chief Big Suck!
April 15th, 20124:55 pm
Great win, today. I love seeing Heyward coming around, while Ike Davis falters.
I just wish Freeman and Heyward could play well simultaneously.
Didn’t Freeman jack 3 HR’s in the last week of ST?
Yes, didn’t understand why Gaudin batted there. They had 3 position players still on the bench.
April 15th, 20124:56 pm
All, have a good one! Nice job by Beachy, and by Braves Offense. Peace my friends, and talk later tonight……
April 15th, 20124:57 pm

Two Klondike bars….post-game celebration is sweet….I am gone!
April 15th, 20124:58 pm

April 15th, 20125:00 pm
Oh, Brandon, looking so good in this Braves Live interview. Big sigh
April 15th, 20125:01 pm
he is a cutie bravesgrl
April 15th, 20125:04 pm
Pretty sweet eh?
Now….the mighty Mets….
Reds scored 3 to be up 8-5 in the 11th over the Nats… lets hope the Reds stay on top.
April 15th, 20125:06 pm
Reds bring in 3 in the top of 11. Looks like Nats are getting the L today.
April 15th, 20125:07 pm
I still want ice cream. Wonder how that mocha almond fudge would taste with chocolate vodka…
April 15th, 20125:09 pm
Let’s hope he doesnt throw it on the wall to test!!
