Ward-
Still…2 months to get ready (I recall he said that not that long ago). So even if he was signed tomorrow, he would not be available until the end of June. And he wouldn’t come cheap.

if he doesn’t get healthier and pitch better he prolly ain’t gettin’ traded anywhere except as a possible salary dump with almost nothing coming back. In fact I’m not sure any other team would take on his salary at all

like I said before, our bullpen is on pace to pitch 648 innings, and although I know that won’t happen, it should jar a few heads into realizing how quickly the numbers can get out of hand.
Out starting pitching is the KEY to success. How they roll is how the team follows suit. But yea, our offense is on the ball. Looking forward to seeing the new/old uni’s tonight.

Chipper is available to pinch hit tonight and hopes to be back in the lineup tomorrow….though i’m sure word got to you guys long ago!
Also i stand corrected on something. Braves will wear cream unis tonight, then go back to the home whites with 42s for Jackie Robinson Day tomorrow. But normally they’ll be in the creams for all home Saturday and Sunday games.

Congratulations to Gonzo on the upcoming birth of his 3rd child, wow, way to go Gonzo and Mrs. Gonzo, won’t miss his bat torturing us for the rest of this series. The truth is Maddux was already a star when he came to the braves, Mazzone developed Glavine and Smoltz into great pitchers. With his tough workout program he prevented any of them from breaking down. After he left Smoltz and Glavine developed arm problems because they stopped using his workout programs. For fourteen years the braves had no major arm problems, the last six years, major arm problems every year.

Nice to read the story of a couple of women robbed at gunpoint in one of the parking lots about the time the game ended last night. Turner Field is not exactly in the most desirable section of town. All they need is to start having people robbed at gunpoint to drive the ole’ attendance up!
