gilf = grandpa I’d like to (well, you know).
Not me personally. I like Murphy, but not gil to do that to material. Now the guy I met 2 weeks ago today at the game against the Phils, that’s gilf material. That is, if I weren’t a married lady. Big sigh.
Bourn slides very hard. So even when the throw beats him, he often still gets to the bag before he gets tagged. Too many umpire follow the rule of “throw beating the runner” and no one get more penalized by the unwritten rule than Bourn.

Murphy was wrong there. Even if Nyger dove for that ball, he had no chance to catch that. Why would you take a chance on an injury when a ball isn’t catchable?

Amazing how at 40 he still commands that much respect.
I don’t think Morgan made a bad play. Did you guys see how deep he was playing against McCann? I think it was great positioning because they knew Chipper would not score from first on anything other than a ball that got past the outfielders.
wonder what happened to Freeman between the end of spring training and the start of the season. it seemed like the baseball was grapefruit size/softball size and he was ripping it. Now FF is taking bad swings, has worsening plate discipline and is struggling. Is he pushing himself too hard now that the stats count? Better pitching? Hurt? Pull happy after his power display this spring?
Hopefully he will build off his good “out” last at bat with the hard liner to left
