Or at the very least, how bout lets see what this team’s front office perceived this roster’s weaknesses to be prior to the season. That could be helpful. That, or maybe you could ask Fredi what he thought of Ozzie’s Cuba comments or maybe just recommend me a good burger joint. Just as long as you avoid asking about Heyward not being in the lineup versus the Astros. (Baseball fans not from and been brainwashed here…wrap your mind around that for a minute). Can you imagine the “future face of the franchise ” sitting vs the Astros with your team down 0-3 in any other market without the local media losing their collective head? Here: just another story line that’s not really worth mentioning. Probably just heat of the moment decision much like hear of the moment comment by team President to season ticket holders. Not worth following up in. Heat of the moment comments don’t deserve attention unless they are made by anonymous blog commenters. Then and only then should they be not only commented on but they should be the subject of both time and ridicule. This whole thing is a joke. I feel for those guys in the field. Shotty expectations due to bad perspective never gave these guys a chance.
Wren may make it through the season, but I doubt Gonzales will. Won’t sell too many tickets with his decisions, i.e. Prado not at third tonite and Hinsky in outfield.
I believe the last time the Braves were 0-4 was 1988. How did that turn out?
April 9th, 201211:37 pm
The team is not ready to play that is the manager….. the team is weak that is the GM……ALL the above !
As I said last night, This team SUCKS. Scrap everyone and start over. Fredi is no coach the Marlins fired him…duh….BOYCOTT HOME OPENER!!! No life no emotion, nothing…..I tip my cap also…using my middle finger to do so!!!
One good thing about 0-4, no need to overwork bullpen. Real easy even for Fredi.
Now that the bullpen is fully rested, will you please let your best pitchers start? Hanson, JJ, Medlen, Hudson, and Beachy/Minor would be solid enough to carry us to the #2 wild card. Please Fredi before you get fired!
April 9th, 201211:38 pm
This is about what I expected after last season and this stale franchise standing pat. Good luck, Braves. That won’t even save you.
What is the jinx of right field? Will we always have to get the hired gun?
Francouer burned up,now Heyward. What is it a curse?
Our home grown talent has severely dried up. Even Freddie looks woeful.
For once I’m going to be serious. When we had Scherholz and Cox here we had an A plus GM and an A Manager. Scherholz made sure we had the top players – Bobby managed them. Wren is a B- GM, Fredi is a B- manager and the team is a C plus collection of talent. Put it all together and you get a Cplus team overall. Wren further messed up by bringing back the exact same shell-shoched clubhouse after a horrific collapse. This team has brought back the exact same mentality they finished with last season. So folks – get ready – it’s going to be a very long season. Derek Lowe wasn’t the prblem (see above).
April 9th, 201211:40 pm
In keeping with the theory that ‘a watched pot never boils’, I hereby promise, since I’ve seen all or most of every game so far this season, to not tune into any more of this crappy excuse for a baseball team effort until they win again…in fact I’m up for not subjecting myself, and whatever jinx I may be responsible for, to ‘em until they get to .500. Point being, I guess I’m out of he baseball-viewing business for the foreseeable future. Hell, I may even resort to ‘Dancing With The Stars’…at least I can see some coordinated athletes there.
Heres an excerpt from my 4-8-12 post. This was 2 games ago of course but really nothing much has changed. But after pointing out why the hel Fredi Gonzalez is answering questions about Stan Van Gundy. I pointed out some reality and got DOB mad at me.
DOB this coddling of Fredi Gonzalez by the Beat writers in Atlanta has gone too far. After 2 games of sub-standard baseball isnt the thing. Its the final Month and a half of last year……you know the complete choke of a 10 1/2 game lead, that allowed a team to come in and WIN the World Series. But the writes dont blame Fredi Gonzalez for his awful moves, his lack of intensity, and overall willingness to place blame on his team losing. Its always “Tip your hat” with this clown, but you writers cant point this out because your too “Buddy Buddy” with Gonzalez. Nobody has pointed the Collapse on him and it appears that you Atlanta writers go out of your way to keep the heat off of him.
Robert ( chi-town)
Can’t wait to see how many show up for the home opener. Wow this cancer is growing out of control.
April 9th, 201211:41 pm
We miss you Bobby Cox. He expected professionals to play the game right. Fredi is a nice guy. But he can’t seem to get results. Making excuses that it is a long season sugar coats the fundamental problems with this team. They are a disaster on offense. Painful to watch at the plate.
Last time Braves opened 0-4 was in 1988…. final standings that year.
Season standings 1988
NL West W L GB Pct.
Los Angeles Dodgers 94 67 – .584
Cincinnati Reds 87 74 7.0 .540
San Diego Padres 83 78 11.0 .516
San Francisco Giants 83 79 11.5 .512
Houston Astros 82 80 12.5 .506
Atlanta Braves 54 106 39.5 .338
Chief Nocahoma, cheap drinks, cheap tickets, that sounds perfect. Oh and give those roster spots to players that earned it through spring training. Hernandez, Francisco, and Durbin were all terrible additions and they combined to lose us this game.
April 9th, 201211:42 pm
Fredi has no idea how to manage. Braves have part that need to stick in limited role but Fredi misuses everything. One of the worst managers in the game.
Fire Frutti or Fredi or whatever he is calling himself. Give the reigns to Pendleton, cut Roger loose and make a call to Leo Mazzone.
Frank Wren does the best he can with his one year of jr college education. He does “look the part” if only that counted for something. Unfortunately, it doesn’t.
disgusted in jax
I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT FRANK AND FREDO HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED BY A HIGHER FORM OF PLANT LIFE. I DONT BELIEVE THIS TEAM COULD BEAT THE STONE MOUNTAIN
LITTLE LEAGUE.CHAD DURBIN SHOULD BE PARKING CARS.LIVAN AND FRANCISCO SHOULD
TAKE UP ANOTHER LINE OF WORK LIKE DIET CONSULTANTS. HOW EVER I WOULD LIKE TO
TIP MY CAP TO THE ASTROS.
There will be no bounce in this team whatsoever unless you bring in new blood.
wishfull braves fan
Not sure how chipper can help this team. He can’t stay healthy long enough to help.
Retired 6 years too late
April 9th, 201211:43 pm
This BRAVES TEAM is the WORST TEAM in Baseball……………..WORST! Bobby Lite is the WORST Manager In Baseball. Fire FW, FG, JS and That McQuirk GUY. This is a TERRIBLE Baseball Organization. CLEAN HOUSE NOW. CHIPPER WILL NOT STOP THIS BLEEDING. Bourne is trying to hit home runs instead of using his speed to change ball games. He doesn’t bunt to get on base…..so why have all that speed at the top of the order and not take advantage of his speed.
I thought we let Brooks Conrad go. I did’t realize he changed his name to Juan Francisco.
I hope it is not going to be September all year long. Same team, same problems. It has
only been 4 games, but it’s looking like a very average team out there. If the SP can’t get
into at least the 6th inning. it will be a terrible year. The offense needs to wake up.
@ Steve are you the same steve that spews out that positive crap. About its only 1 game? Well its now 4 games and tomorrow will be 5 games
Quick turnaround there DOB. i’m impressed (but what do i know?)
April 9th, 201211:45 pm
Fredi didn’t hire himself. Give credit where credit is due.
The Perfect Chop
April 9th, 201211:46 pm
HAHA francisco is conrad in blackface!
April 9th, 201211:47 pm
this team is a travesty .. management is a crap, they mock us, but I decided not to follow a poor mgr, a gm mediocre, until I see that this team does something for us fans is that I will return
April 9th, 201211:48 pm
If you go to a Braves game this year then you are a complete idiot. I would not give one cent to liberty mutual. Its a recipe for a disaster when you have a sorry ass ownership and GM. And then on top of that your coach isn’t worth a crap. It’s pathetic, but I am not shocked one bit. Fredi Gonzalez sounds like Ray Goff in post game interviews. The Braves organization is going to become an embaressment unless the fans stand up and demand more. Boycott and hit Liberty’s pockets because they are only in it for profit. If you love the Braves then tough love will save them.
April 9th, 201211:51 pm
Terry Fracona will be in the Braves dugout next season.
THE PANIC BUTTON HAS ALREADY BEEN PRESSED.
April 9th, 201211:52 pm
I agreewith Jman
Every reporter ,talk radio,(in this town) and the AJC in particular are giving this organization a pass. Just filling your column with 500 statistics on what a player has done isn’t the same as going after some tough dog questions. Lets quit kissing azz on this paper(and Atlanta media) and call the Braves out. Fredi,Frank,Mcguirk, and most importantly to the fans John Scherholtz need to answer for what is going on …on the field.
This is pathetic baseball.
Fredi’s biggest mistakes so far this season game by game:
Game #1 letting Costanza pinch hit with runner at third one out. Costanza struck out, the Braves lose 1-0.
Game #2 Not letting Freeman hit 3rd where he belongs. Freeman went 2 for 4 but no RBI because McCann and Uggla wasted all the chances in front of him.
Game #3 Leaving Minor too long, (really should have used Medlen 6th inning) still close ball game then, but the Mets blow the game open, the Braves lose 7-5
Game #4 starting Francisco at third, and still letting him play after 3 crucial errors, the Braves blow 3-0 lead and lose.
Fredi really doesn’t know his personnel, doesn’t know when to do what. no clue.
April 9th, 201211:53 pm
Come on DOB please give me a logical reason as to why Fredi Gonzalez shuld be the Manager and why this team is better without making any moves
Ugly score but errors and lack of SP composure does that. Yes Juan booted it bad but Beachy needed to collect himself and move on. He didn’t.
Beachy like every starter we have needs the hook by the 5-6th inning. How is this rotation so admired when apart from Hudson and Lowe (barf) we have a bunch of 5inning wonders?
BTW – Tyler also over threw one into the dugout so he was no prize pig in the field either.
If Chipper doesn’t play 140 games (hint he won’t) Prado must be a fixture at 3B (no more Juan) b/c Tyler & Juan is a very crappy SS/3B cocktail.
Even then all that means is lots of Diaz, Constanza and Hinske in LF.
Sucks to be broke and overly optimistic about your club (fade in to Wren on a radio show, doesn’t matter which one – “I really like our team as it is…”)
April 9th, 201211:54 pm
Really sad to watch this lackluster team. Braves have no bonafide hitter that’s.consistent. My son said that he doesn’t want to go to a Braves game this year. They look like the Bad News Bears!
April 9th, 201211:55 pm
Your right, the Atlanta Media continues to kiss the Braves ass just because they won a world series. 1995 was a LONG time ago!
April 9th, 201211:56 pm
Bobby use to play the crap JS pulled from the dumpster early in the season all the time. FG is a mini me of Bobby.
If felt like Bobby did it for spite. “Ok, John you gave me this crap let me show you what it will do..”
I doubt Fredi was doing that but clearly he was testing JF to see if he should be cut next week and replaced with one of the guys FG sent down in favor of keeping Constanza and Wilson (who blows nine ways to Sunday).
Rob In Fayetteville
Let’s go back to the three run inning where the Astros took advantage of Francisco’s miscues and frankly, Beachy’s pitching. The great thing about Greg Maddux was when he had a lead, he pitched like he had a lead – meaning, he threw strikes and didn’t try to nibble. Sure enough, Beachy got the first two outs rather easily and then treated Jordan Schafer like he was Albert Pujols and started nibbling, eventually walking him.
THEN he got all worried about holding Schafer on the bag, with a three run lead!! Hello, why was Fredi or Roger McDowell sitting there on the bench, instead of coming out and saying in essence to Beachy, “Look son, you have a three run lead. If Schafer steals a base, it ain’t gonna kill you. Worry about the batter you’re facing and throw strikes! Even if he hits a homer, you STILL have a one run lead.”
Beachy ended up throwing 30 pitches that inning alone because he was not focused on the task at hand – getting guys out with a three run lead and throwing strikes instead of nibbling at the corners. THAT is a management issue. Any manager worth his salt would have at least went out and talked to Beachy and reminded him to just throw strikes. But nope, not this guy. Fredi and Roger just sat there while Beachy (and his infield) coughed up the lead.
And by the way, love how all those recent acquisitions are working out for us. Are the Braves trying to win games or be a slow pitch softball team with all these large guys?
April 9th, 201211:57 pm
During his pregame comments Bourn all but said he’d give his right arm to still be with Houston. He’s a dead fish.
I think Pastornickys got it, he just needs to settle the F down but that will come (hopefully). Also, Chipper would have made the play that Prado couldn’t get and as for Fransisco DE, forget about it.
Any FG supporter needs a labotomy.
Lowe (past performance).. btw
April 9th, 201211:58 pm
I have supported the Braves my whole life and thankfully don’t remember the 80s. However, seeing these four games make me want to go to the game Friday, let the players know what I really think about them, and then leave. It would be worth the $20 bucks don’t ya think?
April 10th, 201212:01 am
OH Great now Fox Sports wants to torment us more by replaying the game over again
April 10th, 201212:03 am
Cant they replay the Bobby Cox Jersey Retirement Ceremony or Tom Glavines to make us feel a little better
April 10th, 201212:04 am
Its seasons like this I miss Skip Caray Calling the Games he would tell it how it was. If the Braves were playing like Crap he wouldnt hold back.
April 10th, 201212:06 am
Well folks if you want to walk the Dog you have my permission but please come back during the commercials to patrionize our sponsors
The way this team looks right now they just might approach what that 88 team did which is lose 106 games. The hitting is bad, Uggla looks alot like he did at the beginning of last year, starting pitching and defense look shaky, the bullpen has some holes and our FM and GM ain’t got a clue. So unless someone or something can change the atmosphere around this team I think 88 could happen all over again!
April 10th, 201212:07 am
ITS THE 80′S ALL OVER AGAIN
atl sports fan
April 10th, 201212:10 am
alright, for all of you who were bashing the hawks after they would lose a game, are you happy that it’s baseball season? You could not pay me to go see this sorry team, the hawks deserve some respect
April 10th, 201212:16 am
I want to believe that the Braves are not this bad. But, when you consider how last season ended and how this one is beginning, maybe Wren should pull a quick trigger.
April 10th, 201212:18 am
Went out for an hour came back to a whipping. There should be zero fans in attendance Friday night.Party in the lot but don’t go in.For the people that go inside the stadium there should be a flash mob style walkout if they haven’t scored by the 3rd inning.
April 10th, 201212:21 am
Agree completely, I’m currently counting down the days til Fredi Gonzalez gets fired. I’ll treat that day like a national holiday.
Fredi can’t manage a tee-ball team. it was clear in september that he lacks credibility. it was clearer in spring training. it’s becoming more clear with each passing debacle. my new favorite manager is kirk gibson. he dosn’t put up with lackluster efforts, wasted at bats. His team came from six down against Matt cain to beat the giants on Sunday. WHen’s the last time you saw the braves do anything lke that? i’m sure FG is a nice guy but this team needs some accountability, not a glad-handing hat-tipper.
This season is on the brink already.
April 10th, 201212:22 am
The Braves brass has put a AAA minor league team on the field, with a few exceptions. Trying to get through this season with that outfield, and the weak hitting line-up is an insult to the loyal fans of Atlanta.
April 10th, 201212:26 am
The 2010 Braves lost 9 games in a row. They won the Wildcard with a scrub team (seriously, look at the starting lineup from Game 1 against San Francisco). It’s the first week of the season and we are missing one of our best hitters and our number one pitcher. Calm down.
April 10th, 201212:29 am
taylor we had bobby cox making decisions.
our best hitter is dan uggla …..right?……… right? …….right?
April 10th, 201212:32 am
I said one of our best hitters. Uggla is our biggest power threat, but that doesn’t make him our best hitter. Prado is probably the best pure hitter that we have. He just knows how to hit a baseball.
April 10th, 201212:33 am
Kool Aid Drinkers,Speak now or forever hold your peace.A 2 and 4 at best roadie, against the bottom feeder Mets and Stros.A REAL team comes to town on Friday it could be very fugly.
April 10th, 201212:35 am
Fatcisco makes Conrad look like Brooks Robinson.
April 10th, 201212:36 am

April 10th, 201212:37 am
Uggla you juiced up freak..071 again.
abc's of baseball
April 10th, 201212:38 am
“We’re still fine”
Heard before losing the final 5 games of last season and after losing the first four games of this season.
What a bunch of pathetic losers.
April 10th, 201212:39 am
Over 100 losses this season easy!
April 10th, 201212:41 am
I realize the defense and relief pitching let the Braves down in this one. But once again the Braves offense gets 3 runs and calls it a day. They have a .612 OPS as a team. They haven’t scored double digit runs since August 12. They only scored double digit runs 6 times all of last season.
This, of course, after firing the hitting coach who, in 2010, had them leading the NL in on base percentage.
The talent level on paper has increased while the production has and continues to decrease.
Reinstate TP as the hitting coach.
Oh yeah, and with each passing day I get more worried that the Braves are turning Heyward into another Matt Ryan. Hyped up to be a superstar, but at the end of the day just a decent player. Maybe players hyped up to be superstars should just avoid wearing any combination of the number 2 on the back of their jerseys. At the very least let the kid play against lefties so that he can learn instead of giving him the Klesko treatment.
April 10th, 201212:43 am
I don’t know how much impact a manager really has on a baseball team, but they hired Fredi on the premise that he would more or less be a continuation of Bobby Cox. As much as I respect what Cox accomplished, maybe it is a better idea to go in a completely different direction and forge a new identity.
April 10th, 201212:46 am
It’s pure on ugly, folks! The Braves in just four games to open the season have pretty much run the full range of how to lose baseball games: get shutout, go down big early and come up short in the comeback attempt, and completely blow a lead with multiple errors leading to multiple unearned runs.
There is one option left, for the closer to blow a save! Problem is the Braves haven’t once had a lead in the ninth to give anyone a chance for that one!
You covered all the bases on where this 0-4 start compares to a previous season of horrible futility. The Braves finished dead last many times with a superstar on the team named Dale Murphy. If he had support around him during his prime, chances are he would have hit well over 400 lifetime homers and been inducted into the HOF already.
Brian McCann is starting to look like that kind of hitter right now! Uggla was supposed to provide the right handed protection in the lineup for him. Perhaps Uggla will get it going sooner than June this season!
Brooks Conrad on a cracked but still functioning Pad2
What now, bishes?
April 10th, 201212:49 am
Those Braves batting averages are worse than pathetic. There’s no word to describe it. A pitcher, Beachy, at .500 has the highest average since he’s l-2. The closest thing to .300 is Prado at .267 amd all the rest are way below that, most in the 100s. I want all of you who were saying spring training didn’t mean anything to please stand up and defend yourselves. You want, because you can’t. That includes the AJC sportswriters also.
Brooks Conrad on a cracked but still functioning iPad2
April 10th, 201212:53 am
Say, has anybody heard how Jeff Francoeur and Kelly Johnson are doing?
Glass half full, tomorrows a new day, will get em next time, tip your cap to em,Chippers coming back, the banks are gonna pay back the money, the deficit is going down, the Atlanta Braves WON A playoff game 2 YEARS AGO,the house burnt down but we are still alive, Ted Bundy was really a friendly guy………………
meanwhile we keep losing and we are in last place :10 runs scored, 20 runs against.
We dont want a team that accepts, lives, breathes mediocrity
Either we play to win the ring or not. Don’t sweet talk this pathetic losing effort. And they should feel the heat from top to the bottom.
If you or anyone gives this team a pass then u have 0 interest in rings and trophies.
April 10th, 201212:57 am
Fredi G makes Bobby Cox look like a god.
April 10th, 201212:58 am
Gimpy, invalid Chipper >>>>>>>> Fat Francisco
April 10th, 20121:02 am
Well the Errors are high, the Excuses are flowing.Fredi says we gonna get it going.Mac say they just found the holes.I say we just digging a deep hole we can’t climb out.Cellar dwellers from start to finish.Think it’s Marlin time.
April 10th, 20121:18 am
I can’t believe Fredi is not on thin ice. Nice man but he makes terrible decisions in a baseball dugout. There has to be a manager that can think through a game better than that. The Braves could very well proving the 4th place predictions to look generous. Hurry back Chipper and Huddy. We need some leadership and it’s not coming from management.
Just a Bit Outside
April 10th, 20121:19 am
WOW! The pitching has been just horrible. Combined with the usual suspects of the “hitless wonders” and the conclusion is foregone – WE SUCK!!!! The continuation of The September Nightmare! This is truly awful and absolutely no fun.. Somehow we always seem to end up with the weakest players. When it comes to time to perform, we’re “major league” and “talented”, just not as talented as the guys in the other dugout, no matter who we play. Every rookie pitcher looks like a Cy Young candidate against our boys…
It never seems to get any better, only worse since 2005. No fun to watch. Have great seats for Friday’s home opener. Can you say “Craigslist”, anyone??
April 10th, 20121:20 am
What is the definiton of insanity? Doing the same things but expecting different results. Braves management and players were insane to think that things “would just work out differently” with the same roster. No matter how you cook the ingredients, they are still the same ingredients that lead to the same outcome…a losing record.
Wren should be fired for being too timid to break up the roster. Its obvious this team doesnt have a lot of talent and all the young talent isnt living up to the hype.
Liberty should be replaced, our team salary is almost the lowet in the East and you get what you pay for.
April 10th, 20121:22 am
at this rate Kimbrel’s arm will be fresh all season. No need to ever pitch down 8-3.
April 10th, 20121:26 am
Many had too high opinions of this team before the season started. Many have too low opinions now. This is a 3rd place team with holes in the lineup and gimpy starting pitchers.
April 10th, 20121:29 am
I agree with the boycott strategy. Not because we don’t want to support the players on this team, but because I don’t want to give a penny to Liberty. If they lose enough money on the Braves they’ll have to either sell them or put more money into the payroll to field a competitive team.
I wish baseball adopted a policy that corporations can’t own teams. Stockholders and boardrooms don’t make good sports decisions. Historically they don’t take risks either. They only want to milk the fan base long enough to see the team appreciate in value. It’s sad to see the team you love become first a “tax write off and then an asset on the books”
LET’S MAKE LIBERTY’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS INSIST THAT THEY SELL THIS TEAM BECAUSE IT’S LOOSING TOO MUCH MONEY TO KEEP THEM.

The Braves won’t increase payroll and they’re doomed to longterm failure because of the stupid, stupid 25 year TV contract. It may be the single worst move in MLB history.
April 10th, 20122:01 am
I would rather have those teams in the late 80’s at least you did not expect anything out of them.
This has become one of the worst run organizatons in all of sports.
Underachievers and overhyped prospects.
April 10th, 20122:04 am
Liberty will go away only if and when it wants to.
Worst ownership in all of sports.
April 10th, 20122:20 am
Hey, Cincinnati, how about taking Juan Fatscisco back and U can even keep Hoover.
We do not want U anymore you fat piect of lard fingered junk. He is the worst player in MLB history.
April 10th, 20122:28 am
Wait a minute I’m not gonna call Franscisco the Worst player in history……yet
But I do believe that Liberity Media is the worst ownership Group in Atlanta,,,,,,And yes they are worse that the Atlanta Spirit Group, because at least the Hawks can make the Play-offs. But for some reason noone in pro sports wants to come here and play or the ownerships here dont want to spend money. It looks like we are gonna be the Forbs most miserable sports city for many years to come.
Train Wreck Bystander
April 10th, 20122:32 am
When, in September, the Braves are 1 or 2 games back and under real pressure, they will look back on these wasted opportunities with rueful remembrance.
Having said that, I still think this team’s problems are 90% mental. A good Cerrano style offering might go a long way towards curing their ills.
The Baseball Gods are angry! Appease them.
April 10th, 20122:37 am
1 or 2 games back?????????????? Are you delusional. No way this team wins 70 games as currently constructed
April 10th, 20122:39 am
Tip your cap. Tip your waiter,
April 10th, 20122:41 am
Fredi has sabotaged this season………….See you in 2013
April 10th, 20122:42 am
I know people are going to say that it is only the first four games and we should not panic, but how many do we wait on before we start? Our infield defense is horrible. I felt like I was watching one of my son’s little league games, not a professional baseball team. These guys get paid more money than most to perform at a major league level. If they cannot, including the manager, live up to these expectations, then they do not need to be there. There is no fire or passion on this team; no intensity; and no sense of urgency. They just seem to be going through the motions and hoping that things will work out. People, you cannot win ballgames that way. I am not disputing that we have talent on this team, but that talent is for @#$$ if there is no passion and will to win. FG is not the man to lead this team. Bad management decisions and no fire.
April 10th, 20122:53 am
Playing the parts of Scott Linebrink and George Sherrill this year will be Livan Hernandez and Chad Durbin. Now i know when I see either of these guys on the mound I can go ahead and beat the traffic out of the stadium! Keep up the good work!
April 10th, 20122:55 am
Getting ready to hear quite a bit of another Caray saying, “plenty of seats still available if you’re driving around tonight.”
April 10th, 20123:08 am
George Sherrill was at least decent last year Durbin is a Joke. Wait Fredi Gonzalaz is the sad joke. Might as well just wait fot the NFL PreSeason because the 2012 Braves are DONE. That’s what you get when you do NOTHING to IMPROVE your team after CHOKING a 10 ½ game lead. Boston fired their manager who won 2 World Series but we keep this buffon just so he can keep saying “Tip your Cap”……Its more like “This is Crap”
WE DEMAND BETTER!!!!!!!!!
Man in Black
April 10th, 20123:21 am
This no intensity attitude of this Manager started last year when we started losing the Wild Card lead and players and Gonzo were saying don’t worry about it – same stuff they said after dropping opening 3 games, same stuff they said in pre-season when they were 1-10 – he needs to be fired – Bobby Cox was a horrible manager who destroyed starting pitchers by leaving them in too long and won 1 WS when he should have won 5. This clown is his pick to succeed him and he SUCKS AS A MANAGER!

Well atleast the Atlanta spirit put enough money into the Hawks to win. The problem is that the money was not spent wisely with the Hawks. The Braves just have cheap pathetic ownership. It’s sad too because if the Braves had owners willing to spend money the Braves would be contending for a World Series every year because of the name recognition. People grew up loving and watching the Braves and want to come play for them. It’s the one team in Atlanta that could pull in big time ballplayers if we were just willing to spend the money.
