Uggla swinging at EVERYTHING.
Beginning to think the Braves fans would even accept Bobby Petrino back in ATL to replace FG. Even with no baseball experience. Then again maybe not. Did I go too far there? There is a rumor in AR he may go into the “landscraping” business now since he is experienced. My grandson came up with that one, not me.
I sure am glad FW didn’t mess with this powerhouse lineup in the offseason.
Is Freddie really late on those 84 mph pitches?
Fab 5 Freddie got a blown call…Take advantage!

We’ll take it.
Gotta Take advantage of being given an extra out to play with!
What will they do?
Freeman’s quickly becoming “old reliable” in this lineup.
Infield hit Freeman!
Well 13 innings so far 0 runs scored. Thats what happens when you do NOTHING in the offseason. Wheres Lew and Steve to spew out how the Braves are better.
April 7th, 20122:15 pm
Take Advantage NOW! after the passed ball…
April 7th, 20122:16 pm
if he is late at times its its likely cause the best approach to hitting a knuckler is to wait til the last possible time to swing
Come On New Guy! Do Something!
Heyward’s patience has been commendable during the first two games of the season.
I really like Heyward’s approach at the plate today, seeing alot of pitches.
It’s very easy to be late on a pitch when expecting a knuckleball-
April 7th, 20122:17 pm
Anybody find the radio broadcast online
Heyward with another great at bat. I’m sure the radio guys want him to pull that 3-1 pitch, too?
14 and counting
Dangit. Good contact, but an atom-ball.
This is beyond painful at this point.
Freeman is the Man (Doc Holliday)
12 innings and counting.
If Bourn didn’t run on a Dickey, what’s he here for?
You get thrown out Martin starts next inning.
I’m not sure why the title of this blog was about lefties being a problem as if the Braves ever hit anyone.
April 7th, 20122:18 pm
Unlucky, hit the crap out of the ball right at the rookie CF.
Looks like we are starting to put the bat on the ball. Mac and Heyward both hit it hard.
13 and counting 3272 more to go.. Lets not score a run at all this year Braves!!!
Hugo Z Hackenbush
The “pejorative-meter” was stuck on “pathetic” for awhile, but finally swung to “blows.” Coming soon, “sucks.”
The Phillies would’ve had 3 runs already on RA Dickey by now even with a MASH/Disabled Unit of a lineup…They make the most out of whats given to them….

the Braves are dedicating this season to the whiners. They are gonna do everything possible to lose 162 straight so y’all will be ecstatic all year long
Now you’re talkin’ nolee.
Here’s a question noleee, how many of the king’s men did it take to put you back together after the Braves won the World Series in ‘95.
Your head must have exploded.
I can only imagine. You’re so blissfully contented with the state of Braves baseball these days.
Then again, there’s the chance that was perhaps your darkest day.
It can be pure torture sometimes when you lose the perspective that 100 loss seasons and abject failure and futility bring when you’re too busy winning all the time.
These Braves have struck the perfect balance.
Somewhere the ghost of Ted Williams is crying.
Man this offense is hopeless……..
The A Bomb
For you mathematicians that’s now 23 INNINGS and counting.
And for you NATIONAL SPELLING BEE DROPOUTS: Judgment — J-U-D-G-M-E-N-T….Props to DOB and his style/spellchecker.
nolee, cabraves fan..note taken. Guess you look knuckleball and adjust to fastball.
April 7th, 20122:20 pm
Were those first 2 (or 3) pitches to Freeman fastballs? They were clocked at 84.
Chip said (later) that they were knuckle balls.
Hey guys….happy easter
Francisco just got officially initiated to the team. Leaving runners stranded.
23 straight innings….
This is hard to watch.
“Heyward’s patience has been commendable during the first two games of the season.”
yeah, that has been the only highlight out of the Awfense so far…
You mean the same Phillies that scored a single run against the Pirates?
April 7th, 20122:21 pm
And Jurrjens gets his first loss of the season.
Ted Williams was just as, if not more, idiotically pull-happy. Ty Cobb’s ghost is crying.
“Wow, Jurrjens looking like Maddux today. Great control. With a few calls, is working on a shut-out.” MF
Maddux would have never missed that spot that badly to Wright after not getting the close calls. To compare Jurrjens to Maddux, even for just a second is very insulting to Greg Maddux imo. Not even close.
2 nuthin! UGH
Guess what? Another 87 mph fastball…….
Man they love the new wall and Braves pitching…
LOL Mets just won Braves wont even score one run again!! Just plain horrible!!!
We. Cannot. Let. Two. Go. Unanswered.
But, at least the Mets aren’t outhitting us with RISP today.
I don’t know if insurance runs are all that necessary.
Mets 2, Braves 0. Ballgame!
And then there’s THAT.
Yeah. Maddux like alright.
more likely your darkest day than mine Mitchell. what did you have to bitch about? You musta been miserable.
Yep. Only way you are going to be able to time the knuckler.
April 7th, 20122:22 pm
How The F are e making the NY Mess look Playoff Caliber???
Now here come the “Lets Go Mess” Chants! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
We are down 2-0 but it feels like 5-0
come on mitchell…its early in the game still…what is your problem? are you a braves fan?
i wonder how many part time scouts are out of work so the Braves can have a Social Media Reporter?
That may be all the offense they’ll need.
Screwed if we score 0 runs.
I Gave Her Undertaker eyes
lol what writer said the braves are the best team in georgia?
More 87 mph puss balls. JJ you suck. Duda urinated on that. Our number two starter folks. Blow this f ing team up
Did he just throw an 82 mph fastball????
April 7th, 20122:23 pm
Wish we had Cox in that dugout. I would feel better about the team.

The Braves will end up score 15 runs tomorrow on 8 HRs. That way, “hey, they are scoring 5 runs a game, nothing wrong with the offense.” … exactly like last year.
Nothing has changed so far.
April 7th, 20122:24 pm
Lucas Duda. Worst Name in Baseball.
April 7th, 2012
“You mean the same Phillies that scored a single run against the Pirates?”
I knew you would go there: And Yeah the same Phillies team that owned us Last August and September, So Ughh Squeeze Me!
It’s not over but it feels like we’re down 10 runs.
April 7th, 20122:25 pm
Nice play by Tyler
Awfully close. Nice play.
Cuzzi strikes a day early.
But again, umps always suck when a team does as well.
Jurrjens already up over 70 pitches and still in the 4th inning. 2 HR allowed as well.
Coach (2012 Fredi's beisbol fandango)
Guess who homered in the game today………
Guess who made the score 2-0….
O du da day~ O dy da day!
We ain’t scored yet today..
O ud da day , O da du day!
We ain’t scored yet………… today!
RA dickey would be our best hitter!
Thanks Liberty Media
I am done watching this team. Two words for their play. Boring and uninspired. At least, I will have plenty of free time to enjoy my tennis game!
I’m going to need to go to the altar tomorrow at Easter services for the language I am using today.
April 7th, 20122:26 pm
It appears that JJ is gassed.
2 out hit to the pitcher. Fantastic.
I hate this team…..I really do.
JJ might be out soon. He can go quick with those 87 fastballs.
This is going to be a long season!!!
who cares what any other team does….braves just need to worry about what they do
Come on, Jair Maddux.
There’s trash all over the field… and garbage blown in from the stands.
I’d take Cox over Fredi every day of the season
Struggling big time the inning continues as he allows a base hit to the pitcher.
yes, this is getting painful to watch…And Double J’s pitch count is getting up…We might see another cameo from Little Big Man MED’s soon
njbraves…better find a new team then
Pounding the zone at 82 mph. What a chic
The mets DO NOT look playoff caliber. They can’t hit much better than we can. But our offense is atrocious. It really is bad. I mean, BAAA-D.
Almost comical. I don’t even know how you address it, with no money to spend–hopefully someone gets really hot in the minors at a position of weakness.
Looks like another short day for the starter. Just like last year.
lol. braves vs. lefties?? come on, its Braves vs anyone. We dont have any hitters that are consistent on this team. Gonna be a longggg season.
I know Ill be having a good summer this year because i wont be wasting my time watching this crap much longer!!!!
April 7th, 20122:27 pm
Lo and behold… another high pitch count for a Braves starter. Won’t see the 7th. Man, it gets old.
bye TLM, have fun on the courts today
JJ is feeling the weight of his offense. I’m sure of it and the ump isn’t helping.
Well its officially a blowout.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
