Would you people relax about the Constanza/Durango move? Constanza lit the world on fire for a time last year and all the “fans” were clamoring for him to get more PT. Durango had a great spring…..fine. The guy has bounced around multiple organizations and is nothing special. Why get your panties in such a wad over the 25th man on the roster? Constanza got the job…deal with it.

If there were any doubts that Pastornicky would be major league ready, bat .425 and win a gold glove, why did we give away D-Lowe when we could have traded him for Jeter ?
Fire Frank Wren. Fire Freddie Gonzales. Retire Chipper. Trade McCann.Send Heyward to the minors. Fire DOB or make him take a grammar class.
And Liberty Media should sell this team to the fans on this blog so it could be properly funded.

Constanza is likely to go to AAA once Chipper comes back. I know Chipper will get a lot of scheduuled rest to help keep him healthy, but the Braves can’t go 4 – 5 stretches where he’s too hurt to play, but not hurt enough to go on the DL. They did that a few times last season, but the now they have players that they believe can come in and play.

I live in the northest so I get to listen to the Mets flagship station (WFAN) and their beat reporter (Ed Coleman) is stating that the Mets’ starting pitching is better than the Braves, and that the Braves still have no offence.
I guess the point is to make Mets fans think they can finish ahead of the Braves, and avoid last place.
Not because of the players, but because of the NY media, I rro or both ther=i

This team doesn’t understand the process. Flande earned it because EOF and Venters are stuck in 7th and 8th inning roles? Pure stupidity.

My humble opinion, sending Simmons to the minors is a waist of talent. If the Braves don’t have a place for him, trade him to one of the 16 teams out there who are looking for an defensive SS who will save them some runs with his glove and keep their SS who won’t be a run producing SS and neither will give them stability in short. I’m a braves fan sins Dale Murphy and had followed path of Justice, Dye, Chipper, Andruw, Betemit, Lopez, Furcal, De la Rosa, just to name a few. Non of them it was a factor their experience in the minors or not. The problem is that the Braves don’t want to loose face with Pastoricky. U guy didn’t had to promise nobody anything. Now U know for next time. The won who is the best and will help the club the most, need to get the job. But what U guys did to Simmons is a SHAME. a braves fan for more then 30 years.

Sorry, one way or the other I wrote “won” instead of “one”. Maybe I wanted to say; “the one who won the position”

just get it out of your system Heyward haters, after these next couple days it’ll be along time until you can act cool and say how bad he sucks and how he should be in the minors. He’s healthy and he’s going to rake all day, every day. You should be happy you got a guy like that on your team, but people just wanna cry about dumb *&^% all day and make things up.

It never ceases to amaze me how a few people in the blogesphere world will take the most trivial of reasons to attempt to rebuke people they don’t even know! Not only was there no insult intended in my post, but clearly I posted it in a very respectful manner.
But, for those who don’t care but yet still feel compelled to form words to insult others for what they presume not to care about …..
As I learned early in my journalism career (and yes I did have a paying career as a newspaper writer, columnist, and editor before I decided to go fly airplanes for the USAF as a career), newspapers are the principle repository for language. Meaning, they are the standard bearers for the public’s understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. As such, all who work as a professional in journalism strive to put the best possible foot forward in those areas.
I had hoped that David would read my input, make the correction, and remove the post. If I had the chance here to ID mistakes in my own writing and fix them I would be happy to do so. If I had an email or private chat option I would have posted there for David’s advantage. That way the few children here would not be the wiser for it. But, for whatever reason, David here did not feel inclined to do so. So, what was intended as merely a professional courtesy was turned into just another opportunity for fools to act foolish. More’s the pity!
