Hudson expects to throw batting practice in 5-6 days, threw two bullpens in past three days with no problems. He’s progressing fairly rapidly now, could possibly get in a game before spring training is over. He’ll need five or six starts, which will serve as his spring training, and will probably make those at Gwinnett unless they’re out of town and Rome is playing at home, in which case could make one there.

It’s a long season, and there’s no need to get up in arms right now.
There will be plenty of time between now and October to lay down and get run over by a lesser team on the Road to Obscurity.

Sorry It got political, last night…I just don’t Like Schafer…and people have made excuses for him (from 2009-2011) as if he was Andruw-esque…? I don’t get it?
And BTW there was a Facebook request sent last night sent to FSS (FoxSportsSouth) as to what the Batter Intros should and will be at the Ted…???

Didn’t catch any of the discussion last night, but I guess I’d count myself as one of the “believers” in Schafer’s defense.
That being said, he couldn’t carry Andruw’s cleats. Not even close to the same class.

I was Never a Fan of Schafer because of all the hype he got on here after the 1st week of 2009 not to mention him getting busted for PED’s which people shrugg off.,..
I was ripping him last night about how he got off easy for the pot and it turned political and there are people who still love him…it is what it is…

Hey, T. I was watching the game last night (actually watched it twice). Didn’t know how they’d do, so didn’t want to get on here and read a lot of whining. Seems they might be coming out of the funk. Hope so, anyway. If they start winning a little, I might try braving the in-game blogs.

BravePack, nah, dude that is not muscle. Those two guys have put on a few pounds. Not so worried about B-Mac because he usually carries a few extra pounds anyway, but I don’t think it’s a good thing with Freddie. He’s already not the fastest guy on the basepaths and the extra weight isn’t going to make him any faster.

Well, whatever Freeman’s weight (or muscle), I’ve seen him go down and almost do a split reaching for Pastornicky throws this spring. It doen’t seem to be bothering him or hindering his play. Considering that most players actually lose a fair amount of weight during the season, I would imagine that many come to ST with a couple extra pounds on them. For a catcher, it might be necessary.

Co Sign…I just Hope That the extra weight That Fab 5 Freddie put on doesn’t make him less agile at first on the fielding plays…He was Roachy-esque last year with his D which saved a lot of errors and sved big inning which goes unnoticed in the box score as well as those turds on BSPN…

Lew, I personally liked the way BMac looked when he showed up to ST last season. He looked a lot healthier than I’d seen him in a while. This season, he just looks like he’s gotten back to normal. No big deal, really. I don’t like the way the extra weight looks on Freddie. It’s all around his middle.

Co-Sign! For All the complainers on here who whine abt other posters who call out the team, we are easy: They should see the Phillies Forum on philly.com…It got so bad that their posters had to make separate sports websites . Ditto for the Red Sox’s forums…

With The Glavinator being a hockey player…Glavine has the sweetest swing I have ever seen from a pitcher…Other than Huddy, our current pitchers need to take note because other than Huddy all our other pitchers don’t take pride in hitting like Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz did…
