Venters pitching the 5th:
-ground out to Simmons at short. 1 out.
-line drive to Simmons at short. 2 out.
-Strike out looking. 3 out. That half inning lasted about 6 seconds.
It does mean something. A lot. Venters has been terrific.
But equally as true, if guys are playing horribly, as some have been, how is that not just as potentially meaningful after 10 games? I know. Few ABs, etc.
Does Heyward have a hit today? Why am I asking since it doesn’t matter?
I think I just caught whatever DOB had on that Heyward post – sorry guys.
I also think Vizcaino is headed towards Tommy John. May be the best thing to just do it now anyway instead of rest, throw, ineffective, rest, throw, etc. then TJ
Heyward with a high in-field fly for the first out.
How uncharacteristic of him.
What is that, 10 or so infield popouts for the JHey Kid so far this ST? One of you former baseball guys tell me, what does that indicate is wrong with his swing?
So far JHey appears to be picking up right where he left off last season.
if the Braves are up when they start putting in journeymen to pitch, I really am not concerned about the W/L. It would be great to win but I am more happy seeing Prado hit well. Simmons get a walk and SB and solid pitching except when Beachy’s control went to hang out with Elvis as it left the building
The braves pitching staff stinks. I don’t understand why Liberty has stood by an allowed Bobby Cox with his personal vendetta against Leo Mazzone to destroy what was once a history of great pitchers.
MLB AT BAT 12 killed the app for Blackberry users? Yikes, I think they should have waited one more full year until everyone is out of their BB contracts. Despite their failures, many of us are still stuck using them. I’m going to miss that app on my phone.
What else do people do while BBQ’n in Winnipeg? I thought everyone listened to the Braves.
I didn’t agree with the first fat Chipper comments but hafta admit he looks a little hefty in that pic. However, didn’t look that way at all in the photo shoot about the players’ photos.
I don’t really get the Chipper is fat comments……it’s baseball? Since when is body weight an issue? Little more girth under the uniform might keep him healthy.
Waiting for first cuts to see if Heyward goes to AAA or to AA the guy will not hit. Hope Wren keeps his promise that he needs to win the RF job. Keep Prado get a bat for RF.
If braves want to win this season, they should go with Simmons no doubt. He’s already proven that he is the better SS. Can’t wait for infield defense with Freeman and Simmons going to look sick.
