Any update on Vizcaino’s elbow
I can’t imagine it will be good news. And TJ surgery will certainly be an option. Have it now and he’ll be close to ready for the 2013 season.

49ers return all 11 of their defensive starters with the re-signing of Carlos Rogers. Aldon Smith moves to starting ROLB with Haralson moving to a back-up role. Crazy depth at CB with Rogers, Brown, Culliver, Brock and Perrish Cox. If they land a WR like Brandon Lloyd, then they really have no true need come the draft(provided they re-sign Alex Smith and use Daniel Kilgore at RG). Just need O-Line and D-Line depth. Plus maybe a young TE/WR like Coby Fleener or Stephen Hill.
Okay, that’s it for NFL talk.

DOB…For those who might’ve wondered, I did some crunching and figured out that Chipper could go 100-for-450 (.222) and still be at exactly .300 for his career batting average. It’s .304 now. The .400 OBP also appears safe (he’s at .402 now).
Too many folks been hating on Chipper, He’s fat, he won’t play in 100 games, he is finished, he is stealing $14M from the Braves…blah blah blah..
I am calling it right now. Chipper is now pissed off with all the haters and will prove he is a HOF baseball player.
Chipper will play in 135 games, hit .315/.405/.485 with 21 bombs. He is out to prove all the doubters wrong…. GO BRAVES

I want Chipper to do well as much as the next guy, but… c’mon. You’ve got to be realistic, too.
Personally I’ll be happy if he hits .250 with 10 HR. If he’s hurting as bad as it seems he is, he’s going to be in and out of the lineup often. Hard to get your timing down and maintain it when you aren’t in there that much. Just ask Hinske.

Chipper wont hit .315, wont post a .400OBOP, wont play in 135 games, and wont hit 21 bombs. However, he’s still probably best one of our top 3 offensive contributors. He also has nothing left to prove to anyone, he’s easily a HOF’r.

Pure Evil sounds like a corny computerized villain in a movie starring that Transformer kid.
But really, if some of you are that frustrated and pis*** off about the Braves then don’t watch. Don’t come on here everyday with your negative shi* and child like whining over something nobody has control over. The team just doesn’t have the money like before and must rely on young promising kids for the most part. Those sort of options take a while to pan out, if they do. I think they will as they’re mostly all talented guys. If you can’t wait, get your asses out the kitchen.

I can get negative too, but it comes at “normal” times, like during the season, or when we’re seeing talent do dumb things (JHey continually pulling pitches is an example). I do knnow the reality and that’s money ain’t there and low attendance has to hurt. Wren has done the best he can possibly do with cheap owners. He’s kept the farm in tact and added pieces, within his tight budget, to help us win now and the future.
Stop the constant whining. It’s just a damn game.

Man i really want Simmons to win the job, Pastornicky’s defense has me really worried, he looks like a bench player. Simmons has me excited.
Prado is hitting really well, and everybody that matters is healthy. Now Heyward, Freeman, McCann, and Chipper need to hit like they are supposed to. Jurrjens has his velocity back, that’s a great sign, Hanson has a better delivery and he feels healthy. Kimbrel, Venters, O’flaherty, Medlen, and Martinez have been great.
The last 3 spots are up in the air, Robert Fish, Jairo Asencio, Anthony Varvaro, Cory Gearrin, JJ Hoover, and sadly injured Arodys Vizcaino(who has been delaying the inevitable TJ surgery I’ve been saying that since 2010).
So what worries me? Those last 3 bullpen spots, Jason Heyward, Matt Diaz, Chipper Jones, and that Fredi doesn’t give the job to Simmons.

Just watched a piece of an interview with Fredi Gonzolez on tv and had to leave the room before I had an aneurism. He said that he sees no residue from the end of last season. Errr, look at the scoreboard Fredi. He also said that he isn’t worried about getting any offense from Pastornicky because we have plenty of offense to make up for it. Uhhh, where? If Pastornicky can’t hit, we all know he sucks defensively, so why would he even be considered for the job? I see what our issues are, and everyone here sees it. Why does Fredi have to sit there and be dishonest about it. Be honest. That’s my rant for the day.

Murph, I’m having issues with this website since our lastest corporate updates. Makes for an annoying time on the blog. Everytime I click anywhere on the page it reloads and moves me to the top of the page. So, I haven’t been on here much lately over the last 2 to 3 months.

I see what our issues are, and everyone here sees it. Why does Fredi have to sit there and be dishonest about it.
“Issues” in the eye of the beholder, I reckon. I happen to agree with him that the team should have a good offense with or without a hitting SS. That comes from an assumption that the regulars will hit as they have in their careers, rather than as they did in one bad month last season. It’s hardly being dishonest to hold that opinion.
