I am afraid we will be blacked out on the Yankees game in NC. Why do they do this for spring training games make no sense.

Only when 10th-seed Virginia Tech knocked off No. 7 Clemson on Thursday night did the tournament have its first upset and another interesting matchup for Friday. The Hokies advanced with a 68-63 win to face No. 2 seed Duke, a team it took to overtime in a loss at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Feb. 25.
Duke might have fallen victim to tired legs in that game, playing less than 48 hours after traveling to Florida State. This time it’ll be the Hokies with the greater concern after Duke got a first-round bye.

If all of the Braves’ regulars are playing in the Mets game then just watch – all of the Yankees regulars will be playing against the Braves’ scrubs. Expect much more World Class bitching and moaning when the Braves lose a posided game that doesn’t matter anyway.

Well at least I get to see Fab 5 Freddie and The Rev and hopefully a better outing for Teheran. Mets game line-up is more stacked though and probably Fredi loading up to get a W.

Yeah probably right VJ…that line-up does have the injury prone players on it like Chipper, Heyward, Prado, and to some extent McCann. I surprised Fredi didn’t send a little more help with Freddie like maybe Uggla to play the Stankees.

Though the Mets have made it clear that Matt Harvey will not make their Opening Day roster, fans will have another chance to check out one of the game’s top prospects in action on Friday. Harvey will pitch in relief of Dillon Gee in a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Braves in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

The game can be seen on MLB.TV. Right-hander Freddy Garcia will make his second turn through the rotation for New York. This is BJ Surhoff all over again. He was traded by his hometown team who he would have been content never leaving, and he doesn’t like being an Atlanta Brave and won’t be one any longer than he has to stay here.
He is also a boring interview but at least he is honest though in this case his honesty isn’t really going to help him or anyone else at this stage

look its pretty obvious bourn is gone after this year.
braves gave up very little to get him, didn’t try and extend him.
so they are counting on him playing in a contract year, which
will motivate him to play to the best of his abilitys.
obviously wren has someone in mind for 2013 or

Wonder why they are sending scrubs to Yankees when they play them 6x this year all at Yankee stadium. The Mets are no threat so if it were me I would send my regulars to the Yankees game to see as much of them as I could.

In FA a deep pocket team will give Bourne 12-13mm/yr a year easy. The Braves cannot afford a wheels guy at that price not if they even are dreaming about extending Mac.
Wish they took Pence b/c he would have been more valuable to the club (which never has enough offense IMHO) and worth stretching a bit. Also he won’t be a FA until 2014 so even if he left you got two+ years of him.

I’m much more interested in the Yankees game today than the Mets, mainly due to Pastornicky, Teheran, et al. Not sure what you’d discover watching McCann and company playing at this point.

Pastor was one of the players that got me motivated to go to Gwinnett games last year. He’s fun to watch and he’s even faster than advertised. I can’t imagine him failing at the next level.

@ Brava. I read the article but there is nothing new there than most Braves fans already know about this team. We are a good albeit flawed team that will have trouble scoring runs again since we did not do anything to improve our offense. We are counting in players that had subpar performance last year to rebound while hoping that nobody else catch the no hitting bug that have afflicted our team for the last 2 years. I see this year as bridge the youth movement that will be in force by 2013. GO BRAVES!

The only color that the Braves management is concern about it is green. We just can’t keep Bourn because he will be too expensive for us to resign. Shoot we may have trouble keeping McCann and he’s a white as anybody can be.
