The new 1 game playoff between wild cards is a joke… A team who could be 5+ games better than the other could lose 1 game and be out…Imagine if the Phillies were a wild card team and Lee and Hamels had no impact on if the Phillies were to move on or not. Thats a joke.

Here’s my problem: Say Yanks and Rays are battling for the division and use all their best starters — CC, Price, Shields, etc. So the loser has to play a one-game playoff with their No. 3, 4 or 5 starter and maybe you face Jon Lester or Jered Weaver. Or you face the Tigers in the first round. Say you win 98 and Detroit wins 90. But Verlander is rested while your ace isn’t. Ugh.

I think that I will not be renewing my subscription for the MLB package this season if this is the kind of crap I’ll have to waste my life watching for 6 months.
