Im as big a braves fans as the next guy but DOB Must be crazy about Molina Defense not enought to offset McCanns offense. Molina was one of the driving forces for the Cardinals most recent 2 titles. His defense wont them at least 2 games. In the WS 2 games defense and 2 games dominant pitching = Championship. Sure the Braves need offense BUT, you cant invest much more than what Molina’s contract presents. The potential negatives outweigh the positives if you a bit higher. Sorry B-Mac, but Ill be watching you in Boston or NY after 2013(or before when you’re traded). The Braves have almost ALWAYS gone the younger replacement route.

Not saying I’m one of them, I will stick to my Bravos through thick and thin, but his lack of moves after a collapse of historical proportions will be ridiculed by the media unmercifully if this team doesn’t have the wherewithal to get past what happened. I’m not seeing it yet.

They do Guillermo b/c they hope it sends a message to mgt that this team needs investment and balance.

Liberty will be happy to collect your money and field a ?mark-laden team YoY. Complain and or stay away from games in bunches is the only way fans can make an impression on detached corporate ownership.

You have to hit them in the profit margin and shout from the roof tops why you are staying away.

That said its game two of ST so we need to step back. Jogging for 10 days and shaggy flies does not mean a player is ready. Nor is it surprising to see rookies battling for a 5th SP spot get all buzzed up and perform poorly.

From Jayson Stark (seated next to me) on Twitter: That’s it for Teheran. If this had been a real game, would have been the first 6-out, 6-HR line in history. Luckily, it’s March in Lakeland.
