It is, in fact, pathetic.
It’s making my normally positive attitude go sour…
March 4th, 2012
Is it 8-0 yet?
brink of someone else’e disaster thank the lord
HOME RUN DERBY…..
March 4th, 20122:20 pm
I hope Frank Wren realizes that his inaction over the past off-season will lead to droves of fans leaving this team if they can’t perform. Just sayin’.
8-0 another ding dong !
This is laughable.
A meaningless homer…
Im as big a braves fans as the next guy but DOB Must be crazy about Molina Defense not enought to offset McCanns offense. Molina was one of the driving forces for the Cardinals most recent 2 titles. His defense wont them at least 2 games. In the WS 2 games defense and 2 games dominant pitching = Championship. Sure the Braves need offense BUT, you cant invest much more than what Molina’s contract presents. The potential negatives outweigh the positives if you a bit higher. Sorry B-Mac, but Ill be watching you in Boston or NY after 2013(or before when you’re traded). The Braves have almost ALWAYS gone the younger replacement route.
So many here take great delight in the Braves losing and cheer on the opposing team
March 4th, 20122:21 pm
You know it’s a bad start for your Sunday afternoon when the most fun you’ve had is to read the past week’s obituaries.
March 4th, 20122:22 pm
Prado is hitting which is great. Hitting like a 2B though not a LF.
I’ll still watch….
But until FG is canned, no more trips to games.
Looking forward to saving the money this yr.
March 4th, 20122:23 pm
10-0 ANOTHER HR!
Peralta HR after Avila walk put Tigers up 10-0 and made it 5 HRs off Teheran before he recorded his fourth out.
Is there a Mercy rule in ST????
Another meaningless homer…
Not saying I’m one of them, I will stick to my Bravos through thick and thin, but his lack of moves after a collapse of historical proportions will be ridiculed by the media unmercifully if this team doesn’t have the wherewithal to get past what happened. I’m not seeing it yet.

March 4th, 20122:25 pm
Phil you just made 1 million people happy by keeping your lousy sour personality away from Turner Field.
Roy Oswalt is still available on the free agent market……….
They let the hall of famer Teheran give up 5 homers only because the pitchers are ahead of the hitters….
Who is managing this bunch? Why am I asking?
March 4th, 20122:26 pm
Austin Jackson just homered to left field (into wind) on 3-2 pitch off Teheran, sixth HR that Teheran has allowed in 5 outs.
I think Fredi should put some ground ball pitchers in.
Teheran has given up more homers (6) in five outs than Braves have hits (5) in two days
At this rate the Tigers may surpass the single season homer record today.
Guillermo – waste your unemployment check on FG…..not me.
March 4th, 20122:27 pm
well they have to score 15 more before they beat boston runs yesterday
They do Guillermo b/c they hope it sends a message to mgt that this team needs investment and balance.
Liberty will be happy to collect your money and field a ?mark-laden team YoY. Complain and or stay away from games in bunches is the only way fans can make an impression on detached corporate ownership.
You have to hit them in the profit margin and shout from the roof tops why you are staying away.
That said its game two of ST so we need to step back. Jogging for 10 days and shaggy flies does not mean a player is ready. Nor is it surprising to see rookies battling for a 5th SP spot get all buzzed up and perform poorly.
Phil has done nothing wrong, Guillermo. I’m sorry, but this team isn’t showing any of us anything. It could be a coaching problem, or it could be the ghost of last season hanging over them. We don’t know yet. What we know is that our players are not performing.
March 4th, 20122:28 pm
6 hrs? Good grief. Hello?
I guess the Kid is working in his Fast Ball
March 4th, 20122:29 pm
I am back everyone.
Hmmm… what happened to VJ with the play-by-play?
Brava Phil is a dick
March 4th, 20122:30 pm
Can you pitch?
Teheran gave up more homers (6) in 6 outs today than he allowed in 144-2/3 innings in Triple-A last season (5).
March 4th, 20122:31 pm
I see the Braves bats are alive as always. I know this is only the 2nd game of spring training, but this movie is starting the same way it ended last year.
Guillermo has an issue. Seek professional help and take it easy with the harsh misnomers, champ.
March 4th, 20122:32 pm
Things to do here…had to take “a long, hot shower”, now to the store, then an hour of Geometry…
More interested in watching the other Tiger in Florida – making what is a nice (but probably too late) charge up the leaderboard…
No, Guillermo, phil is a realist. There have been a lot of times when I don’t agree with him, but this isn’t one of them.
lol@ all my hataz conspicuously quiet.
Told ya so.
Deal with it.
Nobody likes a crybaby or a whiny Biatch Phil and you are both
Tomahawkin (Mr Boombastic!)
“Brava Phil is a dick”
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
March 4th, 20122:33 pm
This is what happens when you take away BMac…
Something is not right with the Brave’s offense. Hopefully the coaches will figure that out in the next few days.
March 4th, 20122:34 pm
“I’m sorry, but this team isn’t showing any of us anything. It could be a coaching problem, or it could be the ghost of last season hanging over them. We don’t know yet. What we know is that our players are not performing.”
They haven’t even played two full games yet dude. Relax.
“I see the Braves bats are alive as always. I know this is only the 2nd game of spring training, but this movie is starting the same way it ended last year.”
Most of the regular lineup aren’t even playing today.
That’s right, McFann.
“a long, hot shower”
It doesn’t sound as sexy when you say it, Jim.
Its The Second game people…Be Cool, No need to hit the panic button until the last week of S. Training…
That will be the time to be concerned
March 4th, 20122:35 pm
I am going to start taking away some MAN CARDS here. Some of you need to man up and quit acting like your wives and girlfriends, if you even have them. Actinglime little whiny girls is an embarrassment to men
What worries me is even with an obvious jet stream out to RF,The Braves have hit a few to RF that were pop outs while everything the Tigers hit that direction lands in the parking lot.
lol@ “…in the next few days.”
They had all off-season to deal with it.
….and chose not to.
March 4th, 20122:36 pm
Guillermo – try to come up with something a bit less offensive than the b word. You can maybe do better. Then again, you’re fine with the team getting whacked daily.
I saw your comments from lastnite VJ also saw thisne. IF you have a problem with me. Talk to me.
March 4th, 20122:37 pm
I think it’s a good thing these games aren’t being televised.
March 4th, 20122:38 pm
Rick, I’m not a dude, but I am a bit concerned that our team has not managed to put up one run in two games. Not crazy concerned, but starting to question what is going on. I love the Braves. My criticism is all constructive, in my mind at least.
Not a good start for our 2 prized young arms, Teheran came out throwing batting practice today.
Asencio to pitch the 4th for Braves
I am more concerned with homeless nuthatches than whether JT can return to form(hes just a kid)
This Guillermo cat has some real control and women issues….
It’s not the 1920s anymore, doof.
March 4th, 20122:40 pm
Phil= waaaaaaaahhhhh mommy waaaaaaaaahhh my team makes me cry waaaaaaaahh the team is not plating well waaaahhh boo hoo boo hoo I’m not happy boo hoo waaaaaaaah
I’m going to throw a tantrum and tell any adult how miserable and unhappy I am about a game. Waaaaaaaaaaaahh
March 4th, 20122:41 pm
Guillermo, you’ve lost me with your sexist attacks. I’m a woman. Yes, we too are baseball fans (gasp). But just keep taking away those “man” cards.
After September’s struggles, Spring Training isn’t off to a great start.
This team looks ready to go. Wow.
March 4th, 20122:42 pm
This has to put Teheran’s confidence through the roof.
Not very impressive for one of the top pitching prospects in baseball. Why in the hell was he left in to give up 6 homers anyway? It’s not like he’s a seasoned vet with confidence out there.
Guillermo – happy as a lark, my amigo….
As for your poor boyfriend, hope he goes to a shelter, and that soon, before you snap completely.
BRAVA didn’t know your name was phil
Brava didn’t bravos light it up in st last year at the plate?new year all that matters is are they ready when games count be patientgive Lwalker et al a chance Fredi deserves a chance too our roster is better less buttheads and washed up arms
Brava That’s right, McFann
I Gave Her Undertaker eyes
March 4th, 20122:43 pm
who said the braves are the best team in georgia?
March 4th, 20122:44 pm
Why was JT left in to give up 6 homers? Does the manager have a pulse? A functioning mind?
Entering 4th inning, Tigers had a home run from every spot in batting order except 3rd (Cabrera) and 8th (Dirks)
Well, on a more positive note; Teheran’s ERA was an improvement of 4.50 over Delgado’s. (That wasn’t easy to find a positive – give me some props, please.)
March 4th, 20122:45 pm
Brava obviously comments were directed towards the two whiny males that have been whining like little kids
Cabrera probably hit the tequilla last night and Dirks is a singles hitter name…
March 4th, 20122:46 pm
After Delgado and Teheran get blown up in first three innings, Asencio pitches a perfect 4th vs. heart of Tigers order
Oh, Guillermo, you have lost this discussion. Move on, please, your credibility had evaporated.
March 4th, 20122:47 pm
2nd Game of the season and the Blog is already off the Chain, lol
I’m not worried…The Braves have a Cake Schedule in April…I will only be concerned if we get Clowned in The Rotten Apple Opening day weekend….
Well done, TOH!
March 4th, 20122:48 pm
DOB is a hater for saying our pitchers were blown up….
B-F_52 , yes, of course, we should all be patient.
Many thanks, phil.
March 4th, 20122:49 pm
Moved on to real people.
I do not know what I have done. I thought you guys were my friends. Here you are making fun of me now, If you want me off the site just say so and I will be gone for. I can take no more.
March 4th, 20122:50 pm
Pastor icky and Prado are the only starters in the line up today. Prado is 2-3 and the Rev is a rook. Diaz and Ross are bench players, and their start is discouraging.
March 4th, 20122:52 pm
7th inning game today?
Relax Hon, don’t get all emo…….that’s my job.
After a full yr on these blogs, at least Braves fans are passionate!
Plenty of us have little constructive to say, like Guillermo, but we do care for sure.
Dawg fans are a close second, then the foulcons, then the hawks.
I want to win. Playing well doesn’t cut it for me. This isn’t little league.
March 4th, 20122:53 pm
Mejia with two-out RBI triple in the Braves 5th for their first run in 2 games.
March 4th, 20122:54 pm
this blog is like an episode of the outer limits today
way out there
Yay, Braves score a run on a misplay in CF.
You would think with has much junk the Braves talked about how “motivated” they were and how someone was going to pay, they would’ve started off on fire, but as usual, this team is all talk.
March 4th, 20122:55 pm
Samantha – you need a thick skin here. Remember, it’s anonymous. As a female, you will be hounded just for that. Not by most but by some.
Don’t let it get to you. Glad to have you here but please be accepting of some negativity…
March 4th, 20122:56 pm
From Jayson Stark (seated next to me) on Twitter: That’s it for Teheran. If this had been a real game, would have been the first 6-out, 6-HR line in history. Luckily, it’s March in Lakeland.
And another from Jayson: More on Teheran, from @ESPNStatsInfo’s Doug Kern: No pitcher has ever given up 6 hits – all HR – in a real game. But it’s March in Lakeland.
March 4th, 2012
B-F_52 , yes, of course, we should all be patient.
and some should be patients lol
Lately, ALL of our teams in this state have been all talk.
One choke after another!
March 4th, 20122:59 pm
Which is why i don’t understand leaving the poor guy out there….
Of course it’s a record for pitching futility! ST or not.
Our leadership is awful….JT has to be humiliated.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
