George, are you going to let us know all of your posts on the Reds blog?
Things are looking up! That was the biggest rally we’ve had all year.
Who’s pitching first today? Delgado?
March 4th, 20121:17 pm
It was a better start than yesterday for sure, Tom.
Mejia grounds into force play at second to end inning…

Yep, just put up gameday and answered my own question.
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
Prado lines a one-out single up the middle in 1st inning
World Series here we cooooommmmme!!!…
Delgado today, yes.
March 4th, 20121:19 pm
That’s right, McFann. We’re a shoo-in.
March 4th, 20121:20 pm
Wow…Hunter Pence two homer in two day…I guess he’s ready
March 4th, 20121:21 pm
Pence is a very good player.
March 4th, 20121:22 pm
if mlb had any sense they wouldn’t try and nickle and dime a depression area country to the death of its sport
Delgado walks lead off batter…
Leadoff walk – not good.
March 4th, 20121:24 pm
Boesch RBI double to left-center puts Tigers up 1-0 with none out (walk and a double off Delgado to start)
RBI double – even worse.
March 4th, 20121:25 pm
lol@ the Tigers already owning.
I agree, ncgary. Couldn’t believe the prices when single tickets went on sale. Seats I paid $28 for last season by buying a 5 game pack are $64 if you buy a single game. That’s just nuts.
March 4th, 20121:26 pm
No radio from any radio station. If you want to listen to radio play by play go to MLB.com and buy MLB.TV. You will need At Bat 2012
March 4th, 20121:28 pm
Ground out, runner to 3rd…
March 4th, 20121:29 pm
Delmon Young sac fly puts Tigers up 2-0 in 1st with two out. Two walks, a double and sac fly off Delgado so far.
March 4th, 20121:31 pm
DOB..Delmon Or Matt Young?
You know, I hate to be critical this early in the season, but I have to question why Fredi would not have Heyward playing in this game after his struggles last season. I mean, shouldn’t he be using every opportunity to have Heyward face live pitching in a game situation? Thoughts?
March 4th, 20121:33 pm
Avila two-run homer to CF on 3-2 pitch off Delgado with 2 out, puts Tigers up 4-0 in 1st inning
Tigers are clowning!
March 4th, 20121:34 pm
Yep, Mixxo, it would seem young Delgado is not having a good outing.
March 4th, 20121:35 pm
These Braves are a joke.
Thin starting pitching, no offense, questionable D……….
Great pen though.
March 4th, 20121:36 pm
Delgado to wild of the Plate….or the Ump doesn’t help him…
March 4th, 20121:37 pm
March 4th, 2012
You get Gameday audio free with MLB.TV
March 4th, 20121:38 pm
Guess I’m the only one who thinks Heyward should be playing. Oh well.
March 4th, 20121:39 pm
Mixxo missed the memo that the Braves are at practice today. Mixxo get a grip on what is happening. This is not a real game. The teams are practicing against each other. Son, find a brain cell store, go shopping for brain cells and make your purchases count.
Looks like Delgado is opening the door for Minor and Teheran to pick up the two open starting spots. Plenty of time to change people’s minds, but that was a stinker of an outing to start ST.
I doubt that Delgado pitches the second (pitch count).
March 4th, 20121:40 pm
Delgado showed his mettle last season. Not worried about his first ST outing.
Mixxo,, who are you a fan of? Curious to know who is the team you pull for?
Gameday on MLB is freez….do play by play
March 4th, 20121:41 pm
Prado got the first hit for a regular out of the way. Let’s get a run (although it’s going to be a while til the regulars come back up).
Ross Ks, Hicks hit by pitch…
March 4th, 20121:42 pm
i think id had heyward in the lineup too brava
Ross strikes out.
Sutton at the plate.
March 4th, 20121:43 pm
Me, too, ncgary. He needs the prractice.
March 4th, 20121:44 pm
3-2 pitch to Sutton
Tomahawkin (Mr Boombastic!)
Blog Meltdown might occur around 3 pm…
Its only 2 games y’all…
March 4th, 20121:45 pm
Foul tip with the runner going
Hicks hit by batted ball for the out.
March 4th, 20121:46 pm
Honestly I Hate those 5-10-12-20 game ticket plans…I just choose to get to the park 3 hours early top buy the dollar seats and then hang at the ChopHouse…
The players that stay behind on these travel dates are still practicing at home stadium
March 4th, 20121:47 pm
Braves 2nd inning: Hicks HBP, then he’s out when running to 2nd on Sutton grounder and ball hits Hicks’ foot. Sutton credited with single…. Durango beats out an infield hit to put runners at 1st and 2nd
Delgado 1st inning: gave up 4 runs, 2 hits (HR, double) and 2 walks
Delgado is punching his ticket back to AAA to start the year.
Yeah, I think he should be playing too………somewhere else.
March 4th, 20121:48 pm
Durango beats out an infield single. The Rev to the plate.
You bring up an interesting question about whether or not Heyward should be starting.
There are two reasons I can’t agree or disagree. One is because I don’t know why Fredi made that decision. Maybe Heyward is facing some live pitching in Orlando. Maybe he’ll have more AB’s then he would by taking the trip to Lakeland. I don’t know…
Oh, and the other reason is because I don’t feel like sitting in front of the computer.
March 4th, 20121:51 pm
Mixxo Heyward is playing somewhere else today. He is playing at Champion Stadium in Lake Buena Vista. Understanding Spring Training is a good thing.
What a neat way to get a hit…….ball hits runner; line drive in box score later lol
J hey prob workin with hiiting coaches on yesterdays :live :results getting his hacks in they try not to make everyone travel to much in st
March 4th, 20121:52 pm
Hicks hit twice in one inning.
The Rev battling on a 3-2 count.
March 4th, 20121:53 pm
Enter your comments hereStrike out ends the inning.
Tomo,, you are exactly right. We don’t know what was the decision. You brought up all valid points.
March 4th, 20121:54 pm
Julio Teheran replaces Delgado to start Tigers second inning. Delgado was to go 2 innings, but too many pitches in 1st
Delmon Young, as I said. Matt Young hitting 5th for these Tigers would be funny.
March 4th, 20121:55 pm
True, Tom, but facing pitchers he’s familiar with, rather than whoever the Tigers throw out there with the added bonus of the competitive atmosphere, seems to be shortchanging him to me. Just my humble opinion.
March 4th, 20121:56 pm
BF,,, how dare you put logic out there for the challenged. That is just unfair.
March 4th, 20121:58 pm
Teheran Ks first batter…
March 4th, 20122:01 pm
Ray, just because someone disagrees with you, does not mean they are challenged. I’ve never coached baseball, but I’ve damn sure coached a LOT of competitions. If I were the manager, Heyward would be playing in most of the ST games because he needs the practice more than any of the players on that team short of Pastornicky.
March 4th, 20122:02 pm
David O’Brien @ajcbraves
Raburn opposite-field HR off Teheran with one out in 2nd on 3-2 pitch. Towering shot to RF, #Braves trail 5-0. No. 9 hitter hit that.
March 4th, 20122:03 pm
Boesch just hit a long homer to RF off Teheran on 0-1 pitch with two out, 2nd homer of inning. No. 9 hitter Ryan Raburn hit opposite-field HR with one out.
Almost 6-0. They’re teeing off.
David O’Brien @ajcbraves
Boesch just hit a long homer to RF off #Braves Teheran on 0-1 pitch, 2nd homer of inning
March 4th, 20122:04 pm
6-0 now! More long ball.
Ray is a very angry and deluded blogger who doesn’t like beer or little debbies, unlike most of our regulars…
The good news:
Sat-radio lost the Tigers’ broadcast and had to go to the Braves’ broadcast.
The bad news:
Sat-radio didn’t lose both of them. 6-0 Tigers.
March 4th, 20122:05 pm
Young pitchers are getting smashed. Thought pitchers were suppost to have the edge in ST.
Tigers love our pitching.
DOB: Reason i ask about Matt or Delmon was Gameday have Matt Young Pic when he bat…i guess is ST also for those guys in MLB dealing with gameday.
I guess we have a close battle for the 5th starting spot…
I don’t think he was talkin about you Brava honestly you’re question is valid no one knows the answer but Fredi and J Hey and maybe LW
It’s early. No worries. Lol
March 4th, 20122:06 pm
At some point you have to trust the Braves Coaching staff and the reasons they schedule what is best for the team and individual players. I will certainly go with their decisions over my bartenders, lawn guy and my accountants feelings
March 4th, 20122:07 pm
Maybe J Hey had to much beer and little Debbies and thought he might get car sick
March 4th, 20122:08 pm
2 for 2 for Marteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen…..
March 4th, 2012
nah. With us, the edge is always to what phase of the game is outplaying us. The pitching had the edge yesterday but for the apologists, today it will be the bats.
I know. Game 2 of ST. But i’m not liking what i’m reading about.
March 4th, 20122:09 pm
A bar tender, accountant and lawn guy couls achieve these exact same results, i promise you. I’m including the epic collapse last yr too.
March 4th, 20122:10 pm
And please excuse my epic typos….
Hey, I was just making an observation. I didn’t like the way Heyward was handled last season, and I’m not liking what I’m seeing now, but we’re only two days into ST games, so I’ll just shut up now.
March 4th, 20122:12 pm
At least our Marteeeeeeeeeen is showing up.
Wayward is probably hung over today after some clubbin with the boys last nite….queasy tum tum….
ST games don’t matter to hall of famers.
March 4th, 20122:13 pm
We can now safely assume that Prado is all the way back….
I don’t like to over react to this stuff.
March 4th, 20122:14 pm
Is it 8-0 yet?
March 4th, 20122:15 pm
Even tho its only spring training and these games don’t count, it’s still pretty pathetic watching this. Not a good way to start it out. Give the fans something to be excited about…
March 4th, 20122:16 pm
Phillies bootin it up against yanks hope that continues
March 4th, 20122:17 pm
I love Prado as a player. So damn glad he wasn’t traded. I honestly believe he will prove that old axiom that the best trade made was the one that wasn’ t, or however that goes. I’m drinking wine again. Can’t keep it together as much as when I drink beer. LOL!
March 4th, 20122:18 pm
Fielder LINE-DRIVE HR to right field to start 3rd off Teheran, and Young follows with a HR to RF on next pitch
After Prado leadoff single in Braves 2nd, Diaz F9, Gartrell K, Mejia F8
