I am always amused when the drivers are interviewed and they can’t just say “Our team”- It’s always “Our NAME THE 12 SPONSORS OF THE CAR Team” EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Dude- I know they give you a lot of money, but it’s written on your car, your hat, your jumpsuit, and you named your first born after it. WE GET IT

Davey Johnson says he wants Harper up if he is ready mentally and ready to handle major league pitching. I think the kid will do well if he listens to the vets and keeps his mouth shut.

exactly. I am sure Zimmerman and Werth will reach out to him being the good vets they are, but will he listen. I have said a few times, if he pulls some of his antics that he did last year, not only will he get nailed but one of his vet teammates will get nailed. Then it would be handled in the clubhouse.

Soph, last year in the minors. harper hit a hr and as he was rounding the bases, blew a kiss to the pitcher. Please please do that one time in the majors. Just one time. he would never do it again.

in a low A game, after a HR, Harper jogged around the bases in such a way that was so inflammatory his manager took him out before his next at bat (which would have led to a pitch between the eyes).
He needs time to mature. He is just 19

Ray – that was against the Sally league champion Greensboro Grasshoppers. His manager apologized to the Grasshoppers and took him out before his next at bat.
His teammates in low A were not thrilled with him on their team and they were happy when he went to high A. That comes directly from talking with them

Chipper had a brief moment in one of his first couple of years. It spouted off in the media about something and TP and the other vets basically told him, hey kid you have not paid your dues to speak yet. Til then shut up. Never a problem from that point.

Yes it was. I have no idea why in the remember the titans movie, they changed some of the hs names. Their hs was real but some of the hs they played in the playoffs that year they had changed the name.

The Braves have said they are going to look internally for the replacement of Wilson. It could be Hicks, Sutton or one of the other kids. I am guessing it would not be another rookie.

Jack was not competing for starting spot; the starter is Pastornicky. So you’ve got Sutton and Josh Wilson competing for backup job in case Jack Wilson misses a week or two of regular season. Hardly riveting stuff, you know? Pastornicky is going to get most playing time this spring because they want him to get lot of at-bats and to work with Uggla.
