It was good. Tyler spoke about how he’s not thinking about who he’s between on the field (Chipper and Uggla). Chipper and Uggla spoke about Tyler and how they thought he’s been very posed being 22 and all. Uggla said that if he himself entered the bigs when he was 22 he wouldn’t have been ready but that he thinks Tyler is. They also spoke to him about his father who is a scout- they asked him what his father’s scout report on him would said he hopes his father would say that he’s a good fielder who can handle the bat. Then the hosts starting talking about how they like that when minor league players in the Braves system show progress they bring them up to the big leagues to see if they can handle it.
I have no problem with people driving SUVs. I do have a problem with people driving SUVs _and_ b!tching about gas prices.

And Chipper not ever wearing any is just plain stupid. I feel a DL stint coming on for him due to sunburn.
I’m sure you are aware that the team works out over 4 or 5 different fields, and the main field is not super close to the others, right? And that Fredi may not have been anywhere near where Freeman was when he got hurt and maybe nobody mentioned it to him right away? And that there are upwards of 50+ players in camp that he has to observe?

One of the few things I will say about the gas prices is there are way too many blends that have to be processed. IF they just kept it to 1-2 blends that would in itself drop prices a little. When there are 6-8 different blends that have to be processed it costs more to manufacture. And finally, did anyone know that our number 1 export is gas?
Well if Yadier Molina can get 5 years 75 million, you have to figure McCann will at least 80+ million over 5 years. Definitely more if he ever reaches free agency.

Moylan 1 mil
Wilson 1 mil
McLouth 1.25 mil (buyout)
Braves will have around 25 million for sure coming off the books.
Possible Money Off Books
Chipper 13 mil (Possible Retirement and Option)

McCann 12 mil (Has a Option, possible contract could change 2013 number)
Jurrjens and Prado headline the group who will make the most and I expect the Braves to have to make a decision between picking up Hudson’s option for 9 mil or trading Jurrjens and a estimated salary around 8 million. Also EOF could become a trade candidate, we know the Braves do not pay for relievers, he’ll be due around 4 million next season.
This is just plain awfull, our players are hurting themselfs before they even play a game. Jack goes up the hill with Jill before he even gets to ST pulls a calf, then they eat it for dinner. TOMMY runs into a tree or whatever and brakes his head. FREDDY pops a knee. Oh my oh my what a sad season this will be.
This contract for Molina will actually be very helpful and defining for future negotiations for Mac. I’m guessing Mac will get a little bit more, but probably not a considerable amount more.
I suspect Molina wanted to stay in St Louis as Mac wants to stay in ATL. I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we don’t negotiate a deal with Mac sometime during the season. 5/80 to 5/85 sounds about right.
Va – if Hudson is healthy the Braves will pick up that option. For that amount of money Hudson is a steal. We still need the veteran to lead the young guns
BMac not going to take it…but a 3 yr deal would be my offer (maybe w/an option yr)…his age, endurance, and weight is an issue ..that is if i am writing the checks anyway…which of course I’m not
5 years 85 million would have to be the absolute max the Braves would consider for McCann. 17 million a season would make him the highest paid Brave (season salary) ever, and 2nd biggest contract behind Chipper’s. It would make him the 2nd highest paid catcher in the game and he would getting around 18% of the Braves payroll (90 mil)

Actually I think Mac could get that or more,But He seems like the kinda guy that don’t care if he is the highest paid @ his position(like chipper). And they have the same agent,as long as they make him a fair offer in the same range as Molina I bet he gives the hometown discount.
Mac might give the Braves a hometown discount. Stranger things have happened. If I’m FW, I think I’d offer him a 5/75 right now, just to see if he’d bite.

Also, it’s the only place where his endurance has been questioned.
