Only reason I bring up politics a bit, is cause I know most of you know more about than me, and being a 24 year old young adult I really don’t see how I’m gonna be on my own anytime soon with the whole situation the country is in. I really have no clue how young people will be able to start a life.
I remember reading that after paying so much for the hybrid car your still not saving money with the better gas mileage. Your still spending just as much on a regular vehicle and gas in the long run compared with a hybrid. Your just spending more on the vehicle and less on gas.
hybrid and electric are way more expenses and some families are large 6 people can’t fit in a small electric or hybrid….hybrid SUV’s are way too expensive right now
I’m not a very political person, don’t follow it all that closely, but based on what I’ve read about Santorum and the stuff that comes out of his pie hole, Obama could pretty much put his feet up and relax through November.
Gas prices are getting bad, but they aren’t as bad as they were a little over a year ago. I had to dump my 9mpg Challenger for something more mpg-friendly.
gas prices are at record highs for this time of year. Like everything there are choices one can make and benefits/consequences of each choice. Mike S said it well. No problem with SUVs – people should have that choice, but you get the increased gas bill with that choice.
You can choose to work hard in the offseason and reap the benefits or you can relax and do very little in the offseason too.

need Steve from OH comments here – I am not worried about freeman’s injury as it is now described unless he changes his stroke to try and accomodate the knee before it has healed enough to play regularly. As long as there is no rupture of the patella tendon and no tear of his ACL we should be fine.
the first exam by the trainer before the swelling kicked in should have picked up an ACL tear. If Freeman was not devasted or even a little upset then he did not tear it. freeman is one cool customer but I don’t think he could hide the emotion if he was told that an ACL tear or season ending injury is even a possibility.
Get the injuries out of the way early guys and get healthy for the meat of the preseason and of course for the regular season
There are two things driving the price of oil right now.
Thing one: A war premium, as middle east uncertainty entices oil users (and some speculators) to buy futures as a hedge against tightening supplies resulting from a military conflict, and
Thing two: Oil, like gold, is an anti-dollar. As fiat currencies everywhere become more plentiful (bailouts, stimulae, etc) all commodities are pressured upwards. This is not politics, just bidness, as we say down here in Ga.
Gasoline usage has actually been falling in the U.S., so demand is not the cause of the price rise. And supply has not (yet) been curtailed. So its all about the paper…
This off season for football is gonna be really exciting, can’t wait to see what my Redskins do. Next off season for our Braves should be alot more fun, hopefully we spend more than 1 million in free agency.
Hmmmmmm…….will hafta check when I get home to see if our MLB was automatically restored (like they led me to believe it would be). If not, gotta get on the horn to them immediately.
Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone
Suzanne the plans they made put an end to you

I just can’t remember who to send it to
I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again
Won’t you look down on me, Jesus
You’ve got to help me make a stand
You’ve just got to see me through another day
My body’s aching and my time is at hand
And I won’t make it any other way
oh, I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again
I’ve been walking my mind to an easy time
My back turned towards the sun
Lord knows the cold wind blows it’ll turn your head around
Well, there’s hours of time on the telephone line
To talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.
oh, I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you, baby, one more time again, now
Thought I’d see you one more time again
There’s just a few things coming my way this time around,
Thought I’d see you, thought I’d see you fire and rain, now
Thought i’d see you just one more time again.

Murph, where the heck are you buying your gas?
SWGA – Kind of – only 22%, but 11% Canada, 11% Mexico, 9% Saudi Arabia and 8% Venezuela.
Canada and Mexico export more oil to the U. S. than any two other countries combined. Kind of puts the supposed issue of Mid East tensions into perspective since most of our oil comes from North, Central or South America (not to mention more is coming fom the U. S. now than any time the past decade.
Seems to me that no matter where we get it from, it’s all costing the same. Can’t blame the middle east for the entire problem.

They’ve already started blowing up Iran’s top scientists… just a matter of time before Iran gets mad and says something mean and then, look out.
