Then perhaps you should scroll on by my opinion, since, despite what you say, it seems to bother you.
February 26th, 201212:07 pm
VJ, whatcha gonna do for your Yvonne fix from now on?
February 26th, 201212:08 pm
Twitter works for now – she’s back in Australia for a few months…
February 26th, 201212:09 pm
wonder if she’ll get another series soon. I’m not much for blonds but she is definitely cute
February 26th, 201212:15 pm
It appears that the ESPN bus will be at Braves’ camp tomorrow (according to a Kincade tweet, at least)…

You’re all insane. This is the only music that matters…
We had a great music discussion early last evening and I found out there are some here who enjoy the same music I do that I never would have figured would like that type of tunes.
February 26th, 201212:18 pm
Your opinions don’t bother me at all. Your unprovoked attacks on others is quite another story. It certainly lends nothing positive to the atmosphere of this blog.
Perhaps you should take your own advise and scroll by the comments of those whom you can’t seem to help yourself from attacking. After all, it’s not them who come off looking small and petty.
February 26th, 201212:20 pm
nothin’ like a good ol’ after church donnybrook to liven up a Sunday
Gil in Mechanicsville
February 26th, 201212:21 pm
Sigh… Different day, different people, same old blog…..
February 26th, 201212:22 pm
Who went off on you BRAVA? You are a good poster.
Four times in the past two weeks he has disaparaged Billy Joel or his music. I merely responded by disagreeing – there was no disparaging on my part. In no way was it an “unprovoked attack” – it was a simple rejoinder.
February 26th, 201212:23 pm
continuity and consistency are very important Gil……
I think this music is more appropriate
February 26th, 201212:24 pm
Brava is Tomahawkin’s mother hen on the ol’ blog George
No one, George. It’s all good.
February 26th, 201212:25 pm
I think this music is appropriate for today
Tomahawkin (The Godfather)
February 26th, 201212:26 pm
“Just read the overnight comments. So, now, we all have to like the same music or face ridicule? Guess I shouldn’t be surprised, considering the source.”
Bam! Co-Sign! on that…!
George – I heard someone on the radio this morning pick the Reds as one of the 11 teams he thinks could win the World Series this year (of course, he also included the Braves)…
February 26th, 201212:27 pm
Ok, Brava I read previous page just a small misunderstanding with you and VJ.
Hugo Z Hackenbush
“You’re all insane. ”
“Insane In The Membrane!”
Well apparently, Venice Jim, is Billy Joel’s mama on this ol’ blog, nolie. Good grief! Who cares if Tomahawkin disparages Billy Joel’s songs?
For the record, I despise Bruce Springsteen. Can’t stand his voice or his songs. Are you his mama, too?
February 26th, 201212:28 pm
I Don’t lust For Hate!!! BANK ON IT!!!
February 26th, 201212:29 pm
me? Bruce? why would you say that? But I am Billy Joels fairy godfather…..
February 26th, 201212:31 pm
It should be interesting to see wich 1ST BASEMAN, BRAVES or REDS, ends up with better stats this year.
I’m his Tooth Fairy
No, I was asking Venice Jim if he’s Springsteen’s mama, nolie. I mean really? We can’t dislike certain artists without being ridiculed? Come the hell on.
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
That was a great article by Mr. Hummer! Boy…
cabravesfan When things are going well, it’s NEVER because of him- always the other guys are playing so well. But when things fall apart, he points the finger at himself, even when it’s not true.
Hey! Just like some of our friends here in Blogland!…
♥ you, BMac!…
February 26th, 201212:32 pm
Thanks, Hugo – I remember the first time he was on Laugh-In and being …well, I’m not sure what I was…
Billy Joel is not my cup of tea, but then that is just me.
February 26th, 201212:33 pm
Reds’ first baseman George
February 26th, 201212:34 pm
Why must they sing so much before they race?
February 26th, 201212:35 pm
you don’t like Billy, George? well now I am just forced to hate on you, maroon ………
I love Billy Joel and Journey, but I can respect the fact that Tomahawkin doesn’t.
When I saw that Willie Nelson vid, I misread it as “Amazing Grass.” God forgive me!
February 26th, 201212:36 pm
I’ve been there Hugo….
OH NO, It is raining at DAYTONIA.
That’s an awesome post, Hugo.
February 26th, 2012
It should be interesting to see wich 1ST BASEMAN, BRAVES or REDS, ends up with better stats this year
I add also which one be in the Allstar 1st basement, that now Howard will be out till May..and no Pujols or Prince
February 26th, 201212:37 pm
I love to hear Tomahawkin’s music comments…
“Enchanted” is the word you’re groping for VJ.
February 26th, 201212:38 pm
Now STEVE PERRY can sing.
February 26th, 201212:39 pm
wait? Tomahawkin talks about music on the ol’ blog???
February 26th, 201212:40 pm
He’s got his own entrance music….
February 26th, 201212:41 pm
Maybe I just don’t notice, but does he still tell us that he’s leaving to go bump to specific tunes?
February 26th, 201212:42 pm
Workout at 1 p.m., they’re walking out to the backfields now.
Hugo – I’m not sure as a 13 year old that he would have been what I found enchanting…
Not raining hard, people are standing out in it without covering up.
Yes, among other bodily functions
February 26th, 201212:43 pm
DOB @ 10:35 am
From NY Times story about Ryan Braun case. (Anyone who doesn’t think he used simply isn’t looking at facts and is only saying what they wish were the case.)
Thanks for posting this excerpt. If MLB decides to sue the arbitrators would that be the first time the league has done something like that?
As a fan of the original before Cash did the cover, I’d say that the cover brings much more emotion than TRs.. or maybe it’s just more chilling to see someone Cash’s age be that honest about the end of his life in song. Very cool. — Kat
Agreed, and Reznor said as much after hearing Cash’s version and being blown away by it. Reznor said something along the lines of, “It’s his song now.”
Maybe they’re half plant, George
February 26th, 201212:44 pm
T’ is still a TMI kinda guy Jeffrey
Was just wondering if youre a Robert Earl Keen fan? — Bravissimo
Yes. Some albums a lot more than others. But overall, definitely a fan.
Is it raining at DARK STAR?
February 26th, 201212:46 pm
February 26th, 201212:47 pm
Different day, same story.
George, it’s raining all over the world.
All of the above?
First time I heard Johnny’s version of Hurt, I didn’t like it so much because it is so raw. Now it is one of my favorite songs- it has such a haunting quality about it…combined with the video, it’s heartbreakingly beautiful.
But then he wouldn’t be Tomahawkin
February 26th, 201212:48 pm
Soph – W&M-Ga State in women’s hoops today…I am very nervous…
“For the record, I despise Bruce Springsteen. Can’t stand his voice or his songs.”
I like Springsteen…I got onto it after David Eckstein used “Born in the USA” as his batter intro music when he was in Anaheim…2000-2001ish
February 26th, 201212:50 pm
VJ – Hopefully, we can call it a sweep this weekend.
Hi cabalicious! You’re so right.
February 26th, 201212:51 pm
I usually am, but was there something specific that you are agreeing with?
…in 1974, 25-year-old Bruce Springsteen played at the Harvard Square Theater in Cambridge. Although popular with the college crowd in the Northeast, Springsteen was not yet a star. That night, he and the E Street Band opened for Bonnie Raitt. The influential music critic Jon Landau was in the audience. Overwhelmed by what he heard, Landau wrote, “I saw my rock and roll past flash before my eyes. I saw something else: I saw rock and roll’s future and its name is Bruce Springsteen.”
February 26th, 201212:52 pm
Raise your hand if you’re one of those — there were quite a few, here and on Twitter — who insisted the Braves should have taken a gamble on Grady Sizemore in the fall, despite his litany of recent injuries: http://www.cleveland.com/tribe/index.ssf/2012/02/grady_sizemore_michael_brantle.html
There’s just something about his voice that grates me, Tomahawkin. I’ve never liked him, although I do like his band.
February 26th, 201212:53 pm
Outta here to take Peanut out, then back in to see if they are going to race. Have a good one or two this afternoon y’all
February 26th, 201212:54 pm
“Maybe I just don’t notice, but does he still tell us that he’s leaving to go bump to specific tunes?”
Other Than some old Larry Larr, Rappin 4-Tay, and old Bone Thugs N Harmony, I haven’e been bumping a lot of stuff…usually I do that before gametime, I’m mellow in the offseason…
Not to MentionRap Blows Now and has for 5+ years going
I’m on that old 70-80’s rock since I listen to it at work while working on Heavy Machinery. Thats why I’m always listening to 97.1 The River in the morning….
I have a question. Where is Efrim? Before my latest hiatus, he was the most prolific poster here, now he’s no where to be seen.
February 26th, 201212:55 pm
not me DOB, but then I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the night B4 it was discussed here
February 26th, 201212:57 pm
He said that after the beginning of the year he would get too busy to post much because of work. He is a numbers guy, I wonder if he is into the tax scene in some way. Just guessin’ onviously
February 26th, 201212:58 pm
Not me, DOB. I wanted Carlos Beltran who will likely also succumb to injury at some point.
Hell No to Sizemore…The only way I would Lust for him is if we were to sign him to a 1 year Incentive laden deal…
He’s too much of a risk for the Price….
L. Media Needs To Open their Penny Bank and Bring McCutchen Here to The “A” if those (Exepletive) care about the fans and team not being One and Done if and even if we Make the postseason, because the Athlon Sports Magazine doesn’t even have us making the playoffs
February 26th, 201212:59 pm
Ah, that could be, nolie. Thanks.
Efrim is still here…He usually blogs during the weekday mornings
February 26th, 20121:00 pm
I too wanted Beltran, even though as you say, the same thing could easily happen
February 26th, 2012
I have a question. Where is Efrim? Before my latest hiatus, he was the most prolific poster here, now he’s no where to be seen
Also BAT MASTERSON is among the missing.
February 26th, 20121:01 pm
I remember when we were all doing Tomahawkin intros when Bat came in to Hank’s “I’m so lonesome I could cry”
February 26th, 20121:02 pm
as has Snotboogie….
Oh, okay, Tomahawkin. I’ve been busy with several home improvement projects the last few weeks, so haven’t been on in the mornings. Trying to get everything caught up before the games start next Saturday.
Wow…Short Circuit is on, That Movie Used to Be The Shyt In The Mid 80’s
Perfect timing- my all time favorite movie is starting now!!
February 26th, 20121:03 pm
(not Short Circuit )
TOMAHAWKIN AGREED on your 12:58
February 26th, 20121:04 pm
What title cab?
Bat is missing, too? Hopefully he shows back up when the games start.
Ef doesn’t post often at all anymore, I don’t think he even makes the top 25 list anymore let alone leads it
February 26th, 20121:05 pm
Elvis, Cash, Jerry Lee, and Carl Perkins recorded together??
February 26th, 20121:06 pm
February 26th, 2012
Raise your hand if you’re one of those — there were quite a few, here and on Twitter — who insisted the Braves should have taken a gamble on Grady Sizemore in the fall, despite his litany of recent injuries:
Singin in the Rain
I think Soph said that Bat is dealing with some family health issues lately Brava
Games Start Next Sat…I can’t wait to hear Boog Powell and Don Sutton on the radio again…Don Sutton Should Go back to TV though
All that is on TV is basketball now…I’d rather watch old Ricki Lake rather than Basketball, Unless Prince is playing
February 26th, 20121:07 pm
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, nolie. Hope all goes well.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
