Mexico is my favorite James Taylor song (out of many of his that I love) so to me any other version would pale- in fairness, never heard Jimmy’s version

nolie … don’t know where I heard (or thought I heard) that Chapin wrote Piano Man. It stuck with me for a while, although I never checked it out to verify. Maybe I’m thinking of a completely other song and singer.

Still, Chapin wrote a bunch of really, really meaningful stuff which fit into the same space as Piano Man.

Well, summer is supposed to start in three months. But considering it was in the 60s most of “winter” in Atlanta (70 when I left) and it was 86 here in Orlando on Friday, you probably won’t have to wait three months. Maybe closer to three weeks.
