Bourn- Should be,and players most like have split season numbers when traded, and it’s hard to tell how good the player does when he is traded. We will get to see the full Bourn, and how good he is this year.

“Hit 52 a record 52 doubles, A Carolina league Record and was a standout in The Arizona Fall League …… And The Terd (Terdoslavich) is only 23″
Terdoslavich did stand out during AFL play. That often bodes well. It is worth noting, however, that his performance in Arizona was way out of line with what he had done to that point
Terdoslavich did reasonably well at the high A level at age 22. That’s nice, but it’s a long way from the big leagues. He also struck out 2 and a half times as often as he walked – at high A-ball.
Lastly, though the nickname may seem a natural, when I think turds and the Atlanta Braves, noone but Bobby Cox will ever come to mind

I really don’t think Bourn can win a batting title. He’s never even batted 300. in 1 season and strikes out a ton. He’d really have to take a huge step to win a batting title.

Bourn can help the Braves win alot of 3-2 games? That’s providing the Braves can score the other 2 runs. With this lineup that may be asking to much. As for Bourn, where was he when the Braves needed him most last season. Maybe its because there was no pressure to perform in Houston and when the spotlight came on in Atlanta he had a case of stage fright.

I am disappointed in Fredi for not cutting serious slack for Tyler… he was doing his work, no one told him or Wilson. Fredi should take responsibility for saying the coaches would be there and that he is pleased with Tyler for taking the initiative and doing good work.

I’m bored. We are listening to the piano player In the lobby bar. Too late for nite golf. Last tee time under the lights was 9:15. If Bourn has a very good, not great, year the Braves will be outbid for his services. If Bourn has a Poo Poo year would fans want the Braves to try to bring him back? A Poo Poo year would be an Alex Rios type year.

i have been a die hard fan since the 80s. I collected all the ball cards, I listened to WSB everynight, etc. Being 52 yrs old and watching (or listening when they were not on TV) the Braves for a long time I just dont think they are putting a complete product on the field because they dont want to spend the money to compete. There is no way the Braves can compete with the Phillies with the pieces they have now. Maybe you are younger, but I have been around awhile and cant stand mediocre, and that is what the Braves have become. I will always be a Braves fan, but a diehard? Not until they spend the money and put a complete team that can compete. I live 150 miles from the stadium and I attended over 10 games last year. Not this year. Have a good day.

Biggest things I think we all are looking for in the preseason:
1. Heywars’s swing. Getting the explosion off the bat back. So far so good
2. Health of the starters – incomplete – Hudson out until May. Hanson out with a concussion but should return this week. Awaiting more info on Jurrjens
3. Can Pastornicky (or Simmons) handle SS for the ATlanta Braves? Incomplete. I do like that Pastornicky took the initiative to work out with Wilson and I love the veteran trying to help the kid

It’s nine o’clock on a Saturday
The regular crowd shuffles in
There’s an old man sitting next to me
Makin’ love to his tonic and gin
He says, “Son, can you play me a memory
I’m not really sure how it goes
But it’s sad and it’s sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger man’s clothes.”
la la la, di da da
La la, di di da da dum
Chorus:
Sing us a song, you’re the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we’re all in the mood for a melody
And you’ve got us all feelin’ alright
Now John at the bar is a friend of mine
He gets me my drinks for free
And he’s quick with a joke or to light up your smoke ****
But there’s some place that he’d rather be
He says, “Bill, I believe this is killing me.”
As his smile ran away from his face
“Well I’m sure that I could be a movie star
If I could get out of this place”
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Now Paul is a real estate novelist
Who never had time for a wife
And he’s talkin’ with Davy, who’s still in the Navy
And probably will be for life
And the waitress is practicing politics
As the businessman slowly gets stoned
Yes, they’re sharing a drink they call loneliness
But it’s better than drinkin’ alone
Chorus
sing us a song you’re the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we’re all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright
It’s a pretty good crowd for a Saturday
And the manager gives me a smile
‘Cause he knows that it’s me they’ve been comin’ to see
To forget about their life for a while
And the piano, it sounds like a carnival ****
And the microphone smells like a beer
And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar
And say, “Man, what are you doin’ here?”
Oh, la la la, di da da
La la, di da da da dum
Chorus:
sing us a song you’re the piano man
sing us a song tonight
well we’re all in the mood for a melody
and you got us all feeling alright

hard to imagine how anybody who loves music can say that song is trash. It absolutely nails the small time music business and especially small bars whether piano or not.
