Changing names to agree with yourself?
February 25th, 20126:06 pm
Medlan can be the 4th starter or 5th and we trade one of the super kids for a right hand bat ( outfielder)..
Didn’t catch the game but just saw the score. Good for UGA too. GSU is still better.
Great win for UGA!!!!
February 25th, 20126:07 pm
GSU is still better.
February 25th, 20126:09 pm
Today the players took the field and began taking reps for fielding practice. Gorgeous day at Champion Stadium.
1st Base Freeman Hinske Meija
2nd Uggla Wilson Sutton
SS Pastor Hicks Simmons
3rd Chipper Terdoslavich
Then towards the end Terdoslavich left 3rd and joined for reps at 1st Base
Same thing for Wilson as he took reps at 3rd Base
Josh Wilson was wearing number 11
Drew Sutton was wearing number 4

Anybody here ready for this season to start already? I am so freakin’ bored.
Tomahawkin (The Godfather)
February 25th, 20126:17 pm
Lets just Call Medlen “Little Big Man MED’s
I’m the King of Typos but Medlen has been with the team for 3 years and there is still a lot of “Medlin, Medlan” names on here…
Is that some sort of diss?
February 25th, 20126:18 pm
Not everybody has the whole roster memorized
February 25th, 20126:19 pm
“Anybody here ready for this season to start already? I am so freakin’ bored.”
Have you bought tickets yet?
February 25th, 20126:20 pm
And he’s pitched 2 games since August, 2010.
And how is “Little Big Man MED’s” any easier??
February 25th, 20126:21 pm
Love Ryan Bingham, great cover.
February 25th, 20126:22 pm
That Joe Terdoslavich Cat is supposed to be the real deal according to a few sources not to mention he ill prolly be Chippers Heir Appearent…
I just use Meds so I never have to remember if it is an i or an e
February 25th, 20126:23 pm
according to most sources he is NOT the real deal
February 25th, 20126:24 pm
Little Big Man MED’s clears up any confusion on his name spelling…And the Man has heart, something the team needed after labor day last year
A lot of people use Meds to forget stuff
February 25th, 20126:25 pm
Tomahawkin, no, I only have Spring Training tickets so far. Plan on remeding that very soon. Thinking I may go ahead next week and get the 5-game flex plan before regular single game tickets go on sale on the 5th.
February 25th, 20126:26 pm
And I McFanned it
February 25th, 20126:27 pm
or electric shock therapy
February 25th, 20126:29 pm
3B Joey Terdoslavich:
Hit 52 a record 52 doubles, A Carolina league Record and was a standout in The Arizona Fall League
Now Stuff That down your Pipe and Smoke It!
February 25th, 20126:31 pm
Wait- because he hit 52 doubles in A ball he’s going to be a star?
And The Terd (Terdoslavich) is only 23…
Barring a diaster he will be Chipper’s Heir Apparent…I’m not gonna Bank on It, But we are Not getting Zimmerman in the near future…And thats prolly our only option…
February 25th, 20126:32 pm
Is DOB still breathing?
WOW, what a freakin’ basketball game.
February 25th, 20126:33 pm
That Mizzou guy was pretty nonchalant pushing the ball up court. Congrats DOB. Great comeback for KU.
just quoting what most unbiased observers are saying, in fact other than Braves folks I have never read any report that comes out and says he will be a productive starter, a sub at best according to most all of them. why get all huffy about what others are saying Tomy, we just hope they are wrong
February 25th, 20126:37 pm
Coach (2012 Fredi’s beisbol fandango
i saw your post about KISS in columbus in 1984—-i worked backstage, simmons did get arrested.
My dad was a jailer and they took simmons to jail in his stage costume.
February 25th, 20126:41 pm
From what I read about Terdoslavish is that he is projected as a 1B/DH type and that he’s seen more as a Bench player. Here is the paragraph.
Terdo is the great hope many Braves fans have, due to his solid numbers, seemingly out of nowhere. However, defensively he profiles as not being able to stick anywhere other than 1B or DH. At this point, his bat doesn’t profile as being at the level necessary for a MLB 1B or DH, though he could be an okay bench bat or part time DH in the AL. But, he could pile on another year of solid offensive growth and surprise us by becoming an average MLB 1B bat. Certainly doesn’t seem to have the athleticism, defensive reflexes or arm to play a MLB 3rd base though, which many Braves fans seem to be hoping he will play as the heir apparent to Chipper at 3rd. He seems to sit in an awkward area of bat not good enough for 1B and glove not good enough for 3B. (FJR)
Also Keith Law on multiple chats has called Terdo a player getting too much hype and is just a extra guy to him.
February 25th, 20126:44 pm
Also about Andrelton Simmons I asked Keith Law on Facebook if a good comparison for him is Omar Vizquel (ceiling) and Jack Wilson (Floor)…. He said I was too optimistic and that those are too high. So the floor is most likely a Rey Ordonez type Shortstop. All Glove no bat type.
February 25th, 20126:45 pm
Just finished watching the last 8 episodes of Homeland what a great season. hope it comes back just as strong.
February 25th, 20126:47 pm
I know today was first day, but Terdoslavich looked very comfortable and at home at his old position at 3rd base. Bobbled only one chance and made very strong and accurate throws on all chances to 1st. Chipper made a high throw that sailed into the stands and hit an elderly man in the stomach. Man was fine as Hinske checked in on him and said 1st day Chipper has no clue where the ball is going. Funny stuff
February 25th, 20126:49 pm
glad to hear that Billy cause I’ve never read anything that claimed he was an acceptable third baseman
nolie,keeping up with Revenge?
February 25th, 20126:50 pm
I’ve got them all so far CB but have only watched the first two or three. Seems like it might get kinda “soapy” ?
February 25th, 20126:51 pm
which I think True Blood has kinda done with all the who does she love stuff
February 25th, 20126:53 pm
….He seems to sit in an awkward area of bat not good enough for 1B and glove not good enough for 3B. (FJR)….
So maybe then Joey the Terd can improve enough with the bat he could be a solid LFer? Anyone think he is athelic enough to play LF?
Keeping up with GRIMM and THE FINDER so far
I think it is getting good myself with how they are doing the characters,a little soapy but has some intrigue also.
February 25th, 20126:54 pm
You know, I have had that thought but I don’t think I have ever read anything about trying him in left.
February 25th, 20126:55 pm
maybe Va can ask KLaw next chat???
Grimm we love but haven’t watched The Finder. We also like Alcatraz.
February 25th, 20126:57 pm
I’m told Joey T is as athletic as his uncle Mike Greenwell, but they grooming him as a 3B for now. Mike was a pretty fare ball player, but Joey T switch hits. Great bloodline
The Finder, Alcatraz, Grimm, Revenge, homeland…
I hate to admit it but nolie and I have pretty much the same taste in tv shows… Scary
Haven’t watched Alcatraz. actually there are a lot of new shows that i like, not great maybe but I find them ok.Haven’t started THE RIVER yet, but then unlike most I was not a huge LOST fan and I’ve read that they are similar
February 25th, 20126:58 pm
Great KU/Mizzou game… now onto the Syracuse/UConn game.. I sure hope UConn can get their crap together and beat Syracuse tonight. Not that I like UConn but if they can beat Syr I’ll be rooting for them…
February 25th, 20126:59 pm
guess I tend to pay a little more attention to unbiased non-Braves reports
February 25th, 20127:00 pm
cab,nolie showing his feminine side.
February 25th, 20127:02 pm
Klaw has said he thinks he’ll end up a bench player. play alittle corner outfield and 1st base. Doesn’t think 3rd base is his spot.
February 25th, 20127:03 pm
Mike is unbiased as far as Braves go, but very high on his nephew. I used to read about 3-5 of the Braves blogs that are very popular with younger readership, until I found out they were written by kids 16-21 years old
February 25th, 20127:05 pm
Those are not exactly girlie shows
Never been a big fan of KLaw dating back to his Blue Jay days. Some like him many don’t. He absolutely detests the Braves
February 25th, 20127:07 pm
True that. Maybe you are showing your masculine side.
Conference expansion is destroying rivalries in collegiate sports. What a way for Mizz and Kansas to go out. Great ballgame.
Oh and….. Duke > Kansas
February 25th, 20127:08 pm
February 25th, 20127:09 pm
oh BS Billy, he has been very high on the Braves for several years now
February 25th, 20127:10 pm
I’ve never been the girlie type I prefer action and drama and mystery and violence to fake laughs and sappy love sick girls who don’t know what a TampaTwo is
guess I’ll have to try Alcatraz , sounds like I might like it
February 25th, 20127:11 pm
Only the ones he has a crush on nolie
Ok you cats, I’m Gonna Drink some Pinot Grigio and watch old 48 Hours
I miss the days when the Braves needed a player they went out and got one, didnt matter if it was the Yankees or whoever we had a shot. These days we KNOW the Braves are not going to spend the money to win. The Braves are just like the Hawks, cheapass owners.
For the first time since the 80s I will not follow spring training. Liberty is being cheap and there are a lot of sheeple on here that will support them and say we are on a short budget. Whe the stands are half empty with a subpar team on the field you will know who to blame.
February 25th, 20127:12 pm
cab,you and my wife could be best friends. She can watch shows even I cringe at.LOL
I had an hour or more long conversation with Jeff Porter last night and he is handling everything as well as can be expected. Great wonderful man
February 25th, 20127:13 pm
he has rated the entire org highly for a number of years, he just doesn’t pull punches if he believes a guy hasn’t got it. no matter who he plays for
February 25th, 20127:14 pm
Yeah, VJ’s not big on some of the more violent shows that I love. One of the advantages of TiVo
February 25th, 20127:15 pm
Whe the stands are half empty with a subpar team on the field you will know who to blame.
yeah we’ll blame the fans who believe enough to show up and spend money, its all their fault
Oh BS nolie so does my next door neighbor
February 25th, 20127:16 pm
Just messing with you you old geezer
February 25th, 20127:18 pm
So I guess we should all just go find a team that spends ridiculous amounts if money, like the Yankees, Phillies, or Red Sox (who have said they will not be spending so much in he future), instead if the team we have followed for 20 years? Makes sense to me. We all know it’s about who has the most money…

Co-Sign! I said the same thing this Morning! SEC Cats are Not Gonna put up with these Cheap owners when we are only one block from winning a Pennant
February 25th, 20127:19 pm
Billy, watch the old geezer stuff, you are outnumbered.
February 25th, 20127:20 pm
The bartender told me last night that Heyward, Freddie and a few more players came in and he only carded Heyward on purpose and everyone really ran with that all night and rode Heyward hard. Ok off to dinner. Let’s see who shows up tonight.
February 25th, 20127:21 pm

February 25th, 20127:27 pm
MacAllan 21 year old Scotch makes me feel 21
Keith Law is a straight shooter. He tells you his true opinion regardless if your a big fan of the prospect or not. His beef with the Braves is how they been drafting the past few years. We have been taking players will low ceilings, guys who have a great shot to be major league players but max out as average players. Also our system doesn’t have any really good hitting prospects. We have tons of pitching and speed and defense. All of our positional players prospects question marks center around offense.
I really value his opinion and he’s right most of the time. He’s the Mel Kiper Jr. of baseball.
Billy,post some pictures. LOL
February 25th, 20127:41 pm
CB I’m at the bar right now. I took only video today on my iPhone if someone will walk me through it I will post the videos
February 25th, 20127:50 pm
Hello everyone! Good take on the Oscars, and thats what I pretty much predict too.
February 25th, 20127:51 pm
DOB- Also great post…..
February 25th, 20127:52 pm
I was thinking along with DOB on the Oscars, and what he wrote on the predicted winners.
February 25th, 20127:54 pm
Do you guys know how to post videos to Facebook?
February 25th, 20128:00 pm
Do you guy’s know if I was correct on Brandon Drary,or is his last name some thing else. He supposed to be a pretty good prospect too for the Braves?
February 25th, 20128:01 pm
DOB’s boys have cut the 13 point deficit to 5… — Venice Jim
It was 19-point deficit in second half.

CB I’m at the bar right now. I took only video today on my iPhone so “Do you guys know how to post videos to DOB”?
DOB – I knew it was more, but wasn’t sure how much – I was following on Twitter while tutoring…
February 25th, 20128:06 pm
I like Bourn but I hope he hits better than he did last year (.278)for us.
February 25th, 20128:07 pm
“We’ve got to have the guys who hit .300, hit .300. We’ve got to have the guys who hit the ball out of the ballpark, hit the ball out of the ballpark. We’ve got to have the guys who do both, do both.”
Were you interviewing Chipper in an echo chamber, or has he just developed echolalia?
February 25th, 20128:08 pm
Surely DOB, the AJC can afford to spring for a rental car. — 1eyesJack
How do you think I get back and forth from condo every day, monorail? I have a rental car for the entire 47-day stay. But to get to the car in the parking long outside ballpark, drive to a restaurant (through what is usually heavy Disney-area traffic) and get something to eat in middle of the day would take more than an hour. Can’t just leave the ballpark for an hour in the middle of the day while workout is going on, and have to write once we get back up to pressbox after workout and post-workout interviews.
You need to download the free Facebook App, Billy
if you aren’t going to follow the Braves this spring, why are you on a blog talking anout them?
February 25th, 20128:09 pm
Click “Photo” button and there should be an option for videos
