Lew, their violinist was great, it is one of the things I still remember ahout their shows..
I know you have seen alot of good bands over the years.. My fave would still have to be Thin Lizzy..
One band I would have given anything to see, was Rainbow, in the early days with Dio, do have all their live stuff though..

I saw Thin Lizzy open for Queen in Hollywood, Fl back during the Day At The Races Tour. That was a great show never to be seen ever again with Freddie Mercury and Phil Lynott both gone.
Never saw Rainbow, but did see Deep Purple with Blackmore – also saw them with Tommy Bolin and with Stever Morse on guitar. Never saw them with Satriani finishing Blackmore’s last tour, though

I dunno, I was in the military at the time. They had some sort of intranet networked around the world. We had a BBS board up and running back in 1991. I could chat with other military folks all around the globe. Come to think of it, the system was the precursor to today’s modern blogs.

Blog Monitor – There’s still some good ones out there if you get into hard rock. The new Lillian Axe cd is good and there are some European rockers like Cornerstone, Tarot, Ram and a bunch of others you’d probably like.
Some old favorites like Europe are back and got much heavier and harder and less pop – they’ve put out some good stuff the past several years.
George Lynch is playing with Lizzy Borden and Dokken went and got heavier, too, though Don Dokken will always be a pop star at heart.
Molly Hatchet still puts out some good saouthern rock every year or two, as well..

if Bourn plays too well, we’ll have 0 chance of keeping him. if he’s mediocre, we will have a 10% chance.
Braves talk a good game, but it is played on the field. this lefty stacked lineup is no match for any decent lefthander.
by July, the fans will know that a playoff spot is wishful thinking.
Liberty Media couldn’t care less. MLB shouldn’t even allow a disinterested owner like that who is based hundreds of miles away.

If you like Nightwish and melodic metal, check out the Limb Records site – a German company that deals exclusively with the genre and does some great, slick recording and packagig of their bands with exceptional liner notes and design. Their stuff is a bit on the high end for cd’s price wise, but you get a very good prodcut and some good music that is NOT mainstream. like Ancient Bardss, Magic Kingdom, Excalion and Ghost Machinery.

I think the Braves will not resign Bourn. The number of years will be the main reason I would not want to resign him. I do not think signing Bourn for 6 years would be a good use of the Braves limited funds.
I hate to say it but I think the Braves should try to sign Victorino for 3/$39M next year. Would Victorino sign for that? If not the other option might be to try and trade for Bourjos from the Angels. Bourjos had OPS last year, his 2nd season of .327, and an OPS of .765.
Victorino would give the Braves time to develop their own CFer, or Bourjos would be around for 4 or 5 years.
