VaBravesFan-
What I mean is that there really is no rush for the Angels to trade him- especially with Poujols’ big bat on board now, and the potential of Mike Trout. They really like Bourjos, and I doubt they will part with him unless the deal is one they simply can’t turn down. They have pitching. They have power. His defense and speed will be a great compliment to the team…

I’d love to see Bourn have a career year and help the Braves win the world series. Something like a 300/360/370 line with 15 triples and 60+ stolen bases would do the trick

@VaBravesFan
With an Effective Running Game, The Bourne Identity can steal 60+bases. J-Hey can steal 20 and Martini can steal a dozen…
Its on Bobby Lite (Fredi) to enforce that…The Roid era is over the team needs to stop relying on Ugg, B-Macc and Chipper to hit the 3 run homers…Especially for the fact the Ugg K’s too much and B-Macc and Chipper will only be in 135 games apiece, respectively…

Pastornicky should get the green light alot with 2 outs and Bourn batting. The risk is worth the reward, if Pastor is thrown out you lead off the next inning with Bourn, no brainer.

I hear the train a comin’
It’s rollin’ ’round the bend,
And I ain’t seen the sunshine,
Since, I don’t know when,
I’m stuck in Folsom Prison,
And time keeps draggin’ on,
But that train keeps a-rollin’,
On down to San Antone.
When I was just a baby,
My Mama told me, “Son,
Always be a good boy,
Don’t ever play with guns,”
But I shot a man in Reno,
Just to watch him die,
When I hear that whistle blowin’,
I hang my head and cry.
I bet there’s rich folks eatin’,
In a fancy dining car,
They’re probably drinkin’ coffee,
And smokin’ big cigars,
But I know I had it comin’,
I know I can’t be free,
But those people keep a-movin’,
And that’s what tortures me.
Well, if they freed me from this prison,
If that railroad train was mine,
I bet I’d move out over a little,
Farther down the line,
Far from Folsom Prison,
That’s where I want to stay,
And I’d let that lonesome whistle,
Blow my Blues away.
The Man in Black woulda been 80 today! RIP!

To be honest, if The Rev can just be steady in the field and hit anything north of 250/300/350 I’d be happy with his first year. Those are better offensive numbers that Lemke was giving in his early years.

Mike Rizzo confirmed the Nationals are still in the market for a long term solution in centerfield… Sirius 209 and XM 89
The Nats have a wealthy, wealthy owner who would likely open the vault for Bourn and make the offer so high the Braves may have a hard time matching it, providing Bourn has a good year.

I would also be happy with some quality at bats unlike those we got from Gonzo last year. Needs to have patience because with the pitcher behind him he is not likely to see much of anything good to hit. His objective should be to get on base to clear the pitcher. Doing that can open a lot of possibilities.

Best scenario with none or 1 out Pastor reaches first and steals second. Pitcher bunts him to third
Next scenario Pastor reaches and pitcher bunts him to second
Worst scenario Pastor reaches pitcher fails to move him over Pastor can’t steal and is stranded at 1st with Bourn coming to plate. Pitcher fails at moving runner over
