Did enjoy “Walking Dead”, though……….
cabravesfan, February 19th, 2012, 9:46 pm … “I AM NOT EVIL! There are PLENTY of things to do in Vegas that don’t involve drinking”
Gambling and bordellos?
February 19th, 201210:11 pm
Vegas is about 4 hours from us. I’m not much of a gambler either (although I do like Roulette every now and then) but I love just walking and people watching and hanging by the pool and eating (the food is SOOOOO much better now than it used to be). I try to go about once a year- we are headed there in a few weeks for a short vacation to celebrate my birthday
February 19th, 201210:12 pm
And I said that before she mentioned another Photograph…
February 19th, 201210:13 pm
gambling = free drinks
McFann ;Ô; ;Ô; ;ô;
February 19th, 201210:15 pm
February 19th, 201210:16 pm
I was in Vegas for five days. Saw the “Phantom of the Opera”,and “Lion King.”Lot’s of things to do for fun ,and I never had one beer or drink of wine.
Why is it that gambling establishments hand out free drinks? Just doesn’t seem to make economic sense.
I actually don’t drink that much, in spite of how it may seem I know how to have fun without alcohol…
February 19th, 201210:17 pm
Why are some baseball tickets cheap and beers cost 3$37?
February 19th, 201210:18 pm
free drinks at the tables means people will stay longer and spend (read: lose) more money. Drinks cost probably less than $2 for the casino, and most tables have a minimum of $5 bets. So regardless, the House will ALWAYS come out on top
Photograph by Ringo so wonderful…
February 19th, 201210:19 pm
I AM A MORON!!!!!!!!
February 19th, 201210:20 pm
After I referenced Piano Man to T earlier…
Piano Man? NEVERMIND!!!!
And a lot of tables have much higher minimum bets
They probably don’t want fans to drink, and run out onto the field.Fans can do crazy crap. Just ask Diaz? little humor.
February 19th, 201210:21 pm
Only my 3rd favorite song of all time…
I started to guess that one, but I had my, “auto-refresher” on (Chrome). By the time I was able to type it, the song started.
February 19th, 201210:22 pm
Chipper does look out of shape in that photo going around twitter but damn people are acting like he showed up looking like a white Cee Lo Green. He didn’t look fat in any other pics I saw of him from the off season so I’m thinking it’s just a bad angle/wind puffing up his shirt/I’m reaching but still.
DOB help us out!
When we get to the Th’s I’ll be ready…
I read that Chipper came in at 250…
February 19th, 201210:23 pm
Speaking of songs, I hope Uggla goes with another LMFAO song this year.
February 19th, 201210:24 pm
Shea was hitting better…
He’s 6′4….250 wouldn’t be that big on him.
Agree with RHR- Chipper is no longer going to look like Jason Heyward- he IS, after all, a 40 year old man. But he has never been in poor shape in his career, and there is no way he’d start slacking off now. Bad angle, whatever. I am not worried about Chipper’s conditioning. After 20 years, he knows what he’s doing
RHR- Quit drinking, and you’ll be fine, and maybe you can see things correctly? Hm……..
February 19th, 201210:25 pm
“Pictures at an Exhibition”, by ELP. (One of pop’s favorites)
Watching Billy sing this, as I have had the good fortune to do a dozen times, is a transcendent experience…(even if T calls it garbage)…
February 19th, 201210:26 pm
He even kicked eleventeen dogs on the way in…
February 19th, 201210:27 pm
For a likable character, Ward surely can push the envelope at times.
February 19th, 201210:29 pm
I used to love to play the slots in Vegas and Biloxi when they used the coins and they went “ching, ching, ching” when you won. Now they use tickets and it takes away a lot of the fun and excitement. Also, in Vegas, there is/was an antique auto museum in the basement of one of the real old hotels, and they had some beautiful and amazing cars on display. It was well worth the time. The free or cheap food is always good.
February 19th, 201210:30 pm
Ahhhh cab. The voice of reason once again.
February 19th, 201210:31 pm
I commented on the 100.3 website that there is a group here following the alphabetup – the DJ asked about the Braves, as she has an aunt who lives in “Murietta”…
February 19th, 201210:32 pm
Vegas no longer has either “free” or “cheap’ food- well, it has cheap food, but not sure you’d actually want to eat it But the choices of great restaurants and even the buffets that used to get mocked are incredible these days.
February 19th, 201210:33 pm
Every so often, I can make sense
February 19th, 201210:34 pm
Probably a “Medlin” fan, VJ.
February 19th, 201210:35 pm
MacDonalds there, and Burger King. That’s cool, and good…..All the food right there.
Nah – he’s a California boy – everyone here can spell it…
February 19th, 201210:36 pm
RHR, we just don’t expect too much out of her after the wine is uncorked. This is a bonus.
BTW, how the hell are you?
February 19th, 201210:37 pm
Ummm – you say this 4 glasses of wines in…
(says the vodka martini and wine guy)…
I make way more sense after I’ve been drinking. I know this. I’m ok with it
February 19th, 201210:41 pm
All have a good one! Talk tomorrow, and Peace Out…………
cabravesfan @ 10:16—
Haha! Of course…
February 19th, 201210:42 pm
Yeah, you guys lose it after drinking, but not me. I’m ALWAYS stable.
The only thing I can’t figure out, however, is why all the other posters start typing gibberish, after I’ve finished a 6-er. ?????
And with that, I depart—Night, all!
February 19th, 201210:43 pm
Better now that baseball is near. How ’bout you?
February 19th, 201210:45 pm
cab: if your room is comped, isn’t the food included? That tells you how long it’s been since I was in Vegas…late 80’s I think.
I, normally, wouldn’t come up with a “Bruce” song…. but I have one now. “Pink Cadillac”.
February 19th, 201210:46 pm
Hi RHR. Make sure you join the fantasy league again.
Hi & night, McFann.
Good night, young lady.
February 19th, 201210:47 pm
Couldn’t tell you- never had a room comp’s. I assume that if the room is, everything else is too…
I’m good for many of the same reasons, RHR.
February 19th, 201210:48 pm
I had just said, “Should be the Who, not Elton”…
February 19th, 201210:52 pm
Ha! I thought that, too, VJ. But I didn’t call it. We should know better, This station does that, at times.
February 19th, 201210:53 pm
Well done with PC, Tom…
February 19th, 201210:54 pm
A Pirate Looks At Forty (I hope)…
February 19th, 201210:55 pm
Don’t forget, I’m on the east coast. I’ve heard these songs 3 hours before you.
February 19th, 201210:56 pm
Gee – hard to come up with another Pink song…
Hey Soph, already done!
February 19th, 201210:57 pm
RIght now it’s just us 3
February 19th, 201211:01 pm
CB’s in too, I just saw his name.
February 19th, 201211:02 pm
I’m drawing a blank right now, VJ. Do you have anything?
February 19th, 201211:03 pm
VJ just left with the dog…
February 19th, 201211:05 pm
Another great Stones song
DOB would probably like a lot of this stuff, if he actually has any free time…
February 19th, 201211:06 pm
battery on my computer is nearly dead. Will have to switch to the iPad shortly
February 19th, 201211:08 pm
Hmmm, they’re on the “P’s”. Pick up dog doo-doo, pick up dog crappola, …. well, VJ well make it work.
February 19th, 201211:10 pm
Night all. If DOB happens to chime in with some info on the stay puft marshmallow man please rely the info to me. By the time I have a chance to read the blog again it will be on page 86 or something.
He’s good at that (although Nala usually takes care of that in the morning…)
And you forgot “pick up poop” (are we really talking about this on the blog??)
February 19th, 201211:12 pm
Night RHR! (and I doubt the blog will last to page 86, what with training starting and all. We can rely on our Fearless Leader to post regular, if not daily, blogs from camp )
February 19th, 201211:13 pm
Love this one too
No, LAdy, trying to figure how that will relate to the next song.
Good night, RHR. Don’t mind us, we’re usually not, quite, this silly.
February 19th, 201211:14 pm
…pretty damn close, though
You know Stone Temple Pilots?
February 19th, 201211:19 pm
Any chance of Power to the People?
Absolutely, cabravesfan. It’s funny… they were more of, “ME”, favorite (not my parents). And yet I remember the names of their songs less than the ones my parents listened to.
February 19th, 201211:20 pm
Pressure … The Pretender…
February 19th, 201211:21 pm
I had no idea what the actual name of that song was- I do like it though.
February 19th, 201211:22 pm
Wow – Polk Salad Annie – random memory – remember hearing this exiting I-64 onto Hampton Blvd from Williamsburg (or Richmond) thirty-some years ago…
February 19th, 201211:23 pm
Pride (In the Name of Love)…
February 19th, 201211:25 pm
Listening to WGH I assume.
February 19th, 201211:26 pm
I can, easily, see me missing a Dylan song. But…….
Give richbrave the link, VJ. He’ll know a lot of these.
February 19th, 201211:27 pm
DOB: thanks so much for the photos. Like water delivery to a parched Saharan nomad. Really, really appreciated. Your photo cutline writer is doing you no favors, though, spelling Chipper’s son Shay several times. — Choppinmama
Three of them, all corrected in 4-5 minutes when I got up to the pressbox and onto my laptop (filed them from phone). Originals were all deleted with Shay spelling, but once they’re on Twitter and someone retweets, the original could keep getting retweeted. Oh, well. I only wish that were biggest spelling mistake I’d make all spring.
But great of you to notice. No one else was some 10 hours later. Or did you think it hadn’t been fixed and you didn’t see my Tweet minutes after first ones went up, where I made light of my first spelling of Shea’s name?
February 19th, 201211:33 pm
Alright – got The Pretender…
February 19th, 201211:35 pm
Most of us are too scared to report a typo, DOB.
Don’t you think that, DOB, might excell at this, guess the next title, game, VJ?
February 19th, 201211:37 pm
February 19th, 201211:38 pm
I’m losing posts and have to retype them for a 2nd time. But I promise you… I won’t have a meltdown, tonight. I’m good for February, anyway.
I mean, excell?
February 19th, 201211:39 pm
February 19th, 201211:40 pm
Sorry for misspelling your misspelling…
