I hope I learned from my last night’s meltdown, to not even try when I’m very busy with other stuff.
The key word there is, hope.

For those thinking Mac will stay for a 75mm contract you are going to be shocked and disappointed. If he plays at or above his career avgs, stays reasonably healthy he is going to get a contract north of 100mm.
He is one of if not the best offensive catchers in the game.
Think 17mm/yr over 7 years or ~120mm.
February 16th, 201210:19 pm
yes ken, that is exactly it and at what is a decent price for right now too. thank you very much.
I really prefer Samsung but Seagate bought out their hard drive division.

It seems to defy logic that the most discussed player to be “cut” is our best and most successful player. I can’t see how something that will or could happen that far in the future is so relevant.
Looking around at the things I see lately some will and some won’t be here to see what happens to BMac anyway. It’s like rushing your time away. geez…

But tell me just how come they smell of bitter almonds?”

And you won’t get me in a hole to rot … with your hemlock on the rocks.”

I know that RBIs don’t really give an overall view of a player’s hitting ability, but it’s hard to knock in 100 RBIs without hitting consistently and in the clutch. It may not be the stat of the day, but ‘meaningless’? It does take runs to win. Before I am lambasted, I will agree that it is not in itself a stat that tells the whole story – but to take a counterview, OBP is equally untelling, in that you can get on base 40% of the time but hit into a double play in tense situations where a tying run is on third with one out… I’ll take the RBI.

Little late commenting, I know! It’s been a long work week! :0)
Am hoping ESPN show the Braves a few more times this year so we can catch them on Foxtel. Oh, and also, DOB, could you ask ESPN not to show them on Saturdays please, as I that’s a work day here! Thanks!!
