I am neither a misfit or a miscreant. I can’t speak for some of the boys on the blog…

“I would not join any club that would have someone like me for a member.”
What happened to, Hi Tom?!
January 24th, 20129:34 pm
Damn…started choking and nearly spilled my wine on my new computer. That would have been bad
The same thing that happened to “Hi, LAdy.”
January 24th, 20129:35 pm
And in my defense, I was choking and trying not to lose either my computer or my wine…

The Thought of this Kind of Hustling by the Owners and The Agents Makes me want to Start Acting Girly Like Prince!
Where The Hell is The Gov’t Regulation on these stoopid contracts….?

cab, was that really you at 3:49 today?
January 24th, 20129:39 pm
I figured once you got past opening the bottle of wine, without bleeding to death, you were home free.
I see we failed to cover all the serious risks of drinking the wine.
January 24th, 20129:40 pm
What did I say?
January 24th, 20129:41 pm
Yes, that was me. Was responding to someone who made some crack about getting back to work and implying that most of us had no job
January 24th, 20129:43 pm
Out of context, it seemed weirdly out of character.
I can usually manage to open the wine just fine- apparently I still have a lot to learn about drinking it…
Was it good, Hugo? Should I scroll back?
January 24th, 20129:44 pm
really? I thought it was the right touch of sarcasm But I suppose I can see what you mean. I’m usually so nice to people (just ask VJ…)
January 24th, 20129:45 pm
By the way, Shriekapova is on right now. Hey, wouldn’t she and Brady make a dream couple?
January 24th, 20129:49 pm
Sharapova is the reason I wish there was a magical Mute button for individual people

Sharapova is the reason I wish there was a magical clothes-off button for individual people
January 24th, 20129:54 pm
shakes head. I expect better from you, Thomas…
Bethancourt in 2014, maybe. He’d have to progress with the bat so much to be ready before then, imo.
January 24th, 20129:55 pm
Prettier than Sharapova:
January 24th, 20129:56 pm
What? Braves interested in Oswalt?
He’s willing to sign for the league minimum?
Geaux Braves. Hit just a little and keep the pitchers healthy and NO reason not to WIN it all.
Sorry about that super long link
Yeah… like you’d never use it.
January 24th, 20129:57 pm
I don’t need to. The people I ogle are allowed to be shirtless in public
January 24th, 20129:59 pm
Is she a tennis player, too, cabravesfan?
Also, that sounds just like something VJ would say…
January 24th, 201210:00 pm
Yes. That’s not the best pic of her, but look her up. She’s stunning (and much more pleasant than Sharapova is said to be)

January 24th, 201210:01 pm
Maybe I’m not keeping up with women’s tennis as much as I should.
January 24th, 201210:02 pm
TOM! STOP! THAT IS JUST….NO! NO NO NO NO NO!!!! BRAIN BLEACH!!!!!!!!
January 24th, 201210:04 pm
She’s stunning (and much more pleasant than Sharapova is said to be)
At the distance that I am from these ladies, cabravesfan, pleasantness is not that important.
January 24th, 201210:06 pm
Maybe I should start getting dinner ready, cabravesfan.
She certainly looked pleasant in that topless picture.
In the “offseason” Sharapova lives in my hometown…I’ve heard she is not the nicest person in the world.
January 24th, 201210:07 pm
That might be a good idea…
I did choose that pic on purpose. There were others that are clearer…
January 24th, 201210:09 pm
Thanks, I’ll take Kirilenko:
January 24th, 201210:10 pm
Also prettier than Sharapova IMHO
January 24th, 201210:13 pm
Man!!! Women’s tennis has come a long way from the days of Martina Navratilova.
January 24th, 201210:14 pm
to Tom and CABrave, I wasn’t speaking to you two, everybody knows you two kinda have your own “thing” mainly more socializing than talking baseball, just ignore us baseball fans and continue on with your “thing”, we’ll continue to talk baseball. Bethancourt had a good year at the plate and looked to make pretty big strides, he probably spends a fair amount of time at AAA this year and might even get a cup of coffee later on if he does well, we’ll see. I like him, he plays probably the best defense of any catcher in our system right now and has a cannon for an arm…
Welcome to the 21st century Tom
January 24th, 201210:16 pm
I talk plenty of baseball (and other sports) on the blog, thanks. I didn’t realize talking about other things was forbidden.
But does Bethancourt look like this?
January 24th, 201210:18 pm
to Tom and CABrave
You never use upper case for your 1st 3 letters, do you?
did I say it was? or did I say you and Tom have a tendency to talk amongst yourselves at night and ignore most everything else and that it’s mostly not baseball? continue on, continue on. Hugo, I’m sure Christian isn’t that pretty, to me anyway…
January 24th, 201210:19 pm
And since I have not addressed you at all today, I don’t see the need for you to direct such a snide comment to me.
January 24th, 201210:21 pm
I wasn’t speaking to you two, everybody knows you two kinda have your own “thing” mainly more socializing than talking baseball, just ignore us baseball fans and continue on with your “thing”, we’ll continue to talk baseball.
Pretty easy to see what you said, and what the implication was. Like I said- I talk plenty of sports on the blog. It gets boring repeating the same stuff over and over and over during the off season. So I find other things to talk about. You can ignore my posts if you find them uninteresting.
January 24th, 201210:22 pm
I don’t know what is about all these Russian beauties and tennis, Hugo. But if I was living over there, I’d hang around the tennis courts.
he probably spends a fair amount of time at AAA this year and might even get a cup of coffee _ BravesFanSince80’s
Yeah, I don’t think so. Back to high A for him this year from what I heard.
January 24th, 201210:23 pm
Sharapova is one hot chick. She is so sexy and other woman that diss her and the other pretty ones are haters. Pure jealousy. Knock it off cabravesfan. You’re showing your bitterness and it’s sad.
Sensitive? No. But it was an unnecessary comment. No reason for it. That’s all
January 24th, 201210:24 pm
or did I say you and Tom have a tendency to talk amongst yourselves at night and ignore most everything else and that it’s mostly not baseball? — BravesFanSince80’s
That’s a lie, dude! We only, mostly, ignore you.
January 24th, 201210:26 pm
I can’t have an opinion? I said I’ve heard she’s not a nice person. I said I find some other girls more attractive than her. That makes me bitter and a hater? Seriously??
January 24th, 201210:27 pm
Sensitive? No. But it was an unnecessary comment. No reason for it. That’s all
Relax, LAdy. Don’t you remember? This pouting happens everytime someone is not voted into our “little tribe”.
January 24th, 201210:30 pm
Can I be in the little tribe? Can I? Can I? Can I?
Tom, I’d hang around the locker room.
January 24th, 201210:31 pm
Apparently I’m jealous of Sharapova too…guess you really do learn something new everyday. I was unaware of my bitter hate until tonight…
Tom, re: your 9:52 pm: Agreed with a big Yes!
January 24th, 201210:32 pm
Efrim@10:00p.m., agreed, he’s highly overrated and the one big hope I have for the Braves this year is that their aging offense that has been too heavily relied upon falters and the mighty fall a notch in the East…
January 24th, 201210:33 pm
Have you submitted your application with 2 passport sized head shots and 3 letters of recommendation from current members?
January 24th, 201210:34 pm
You see, cab? ken isn’t too worried about her, unpleastantness, either.
That’s because you are boys!
January 24th, 201210:36 pm
Tom, you can spout all you want dude, but I read these pages WAAAAAAAAY more than I ever weigh in and lots of nights, it’s the Tom and CABrave show and anybody else that posts are usually one timers and when y’all only respond very little or not at all, they’re gone. I’ve read the pages, many times and saw this over and over again, like I said, you can spit and sputter all you want, but I know of which I speak…
January 24th, 201210:38 pm
It’s always good for someone like him to come around after that tough Niners loss. Gives you more of an opportunity to release some frustrations.
I’m betting that, VJ, appreciates him.
January 24th, 201210:39 pm
VJ’s not here
January 24th, 201210:40 pm
Tom, she’s OK, but I was more interested in using your device on Jennifer Love Hewitt.
January 24th, 201210:41 pm
No, I didn’t. Honest… I ran out of gas. I… I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN’T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!
I read these pages WAAAAAAAAY more than I ever weigh in and lots of nights, it’s the Tom and CABrave show BravesFanSince80’s
cabravesfan!!! Did you read that!!!
I believe we have our very first fan!!
And now apparently we have to talk to everyone on the blog to make sure they are included? Besides, I am not on all night, especially before I got my new computer and VJ was here and we had to share. There are plenty of folks that I have conversations with- most are not on late on the East Coast. Let it go, dude. Tom and I are friends.
January 24th, 201210:43 pm
I think I just waived the requirement. Anyone that drops a Blues Brothers quote in the middle of a baseball blog gets a free pass Welcome to our little tribe!
You’re right, kenhotlanta. If I had that device I’d probably never leave the house.
January 24th, 201210:44 pm
a fan would indicate that I find your rhetoric entertaining, hardly…was hoping baseball would be the topic of discussion for once tonight, oh well…
I am afraid I created a monster…
Free-agent first baseman Prince Fielder and the Tigers agreed Tuesday to a nine-year, $214 million contract that fills the AL Central champions’ need for a power hitter, a person familiar with the deal said.
I can just see opening day,” exulted Ted Turner as he strode onto the field at Atlanta Stadium. “We’re going to have a TV camera panning the entire stadium. The crowd is going to be singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game. We’ll change the team’s name from the Braves to the Eagles.” He paused. “And if they don’t win, I’ll call them the Turkeys.” Theodore E. Turner III, the mercurial 37-year-old millionaire broadcaster and champion yachtsman who has just bought the ailing Atlanta Braves for $10 million
January 24th, 201210:45 pm
You’re too easy. That rarely works on Ms DS1!
January 24th, 201210:46 pm
80’s Braves fan
The actual discussion of Braves news has been hashed and rehashed so many times, that most are a bit bored with it as of late.
January 24th, 201210:47 pm
What would you like us to talk about? Prince Fielder? The lack of moves by the Braves? The minor league system? Again? All those topics and many others have been beaten to death in this off season. If you feel the need to continue on, by all means, do so. Someone will respond. But no need to complain to those that chose to talk about other things that have not been left bloody in the pages of DOB’s previous blogs. It’s hard to talk baseball 100% of every day…
January 24th, 201210:48 pm
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that, BravesFanSince80’s, is a big dud at parties?
I happen to love that movie
Sure glad to see Prince go to the AL. I think the Nats will be better off long term without him though. They need to eventually get Morse to first base and LaRoche is not slouch with the bat or glove.
January 24th, 201210:49 pm
Ron Roberts: Please don’t go. Blog needs your voice and more like it who can express cogent thoughts in complete sentences (without all caps or multiple exclamation marks), whether or not we necessarily agree on all of those thoughts.
January 24th, 201210:50 pm
The Aussie Open commentators are now discussing how Sharapova doesn’t have a lot of friends on the tour and doesn’t care. (among other things about her- but even they acknowledge she is not that friendly)
BravesFanSince80’s: You are and idiot and a maroon. The folks who post here at night are usually a lot more pleasant and interesting than a lot who post during the day. And we talk about everything, including the Braves.
About 6 months ago, I lost my fiancee to a quick and deadly disease that devastated me and there were several nights these very same people you are talking to and a few more like haggard, uga-brave, nolie, BAS, and others were a tremendous comfort to me and helped me deal with my grief, and I will never forget it.
January 24th, 201210:53 pm
Sorry about the double post, don’t know what happened.
January 24th, 201210:54 pm
Don’t worry, DOB, they always come back. And back, and back, and….
January 24th, 201210:55 pm
Sharpova wins! Hurrah!
January 24th, 201210:56 pm
Funny stuff…I read these pages WAAAAAAAAY more than I ever weigh in and lots of nights, it’s the Tom and CABrave show BravesFanSince80’s
If you were actually a regular reader of this blog it would be obvious what a load of crap that statement was.
January 24th, 201210:57 pm
Me too cab. Great flick! Loads of great lines…………
“We’re on a mission from God.”
January 24th, 201210:59 pm
ken I have not said the first thing negative to you whatsoever, CABrave you should take issue there, everybody is so sensitive, geez, oh and Tom I think it was who accused me of being a dud at parties? Used to be a lead singer in a pretty good bar band, mostly classic rock and we used to kick a s s at parties back before I got married and dull and boring like you guys. Ken, sorry to hear of your loss, God rest her soul…
January 24th, 201211:00 pm
I just hope all of this, Tom & CAB, stuff, doesn’t get you into hot water with your chef.
January 24th, 201211:01 pm
cabravesfan: That’s OK, I won’t hold it against Ms. Sharapova.
Chopped on Food Network tonight. That and Fox News will have to sustain me………….
January 24th, 201211:02 pm
bravefaninafokker who cares? silly to keep on with it, you guys take things way too personally and then make out like everybody else are the sensitive ones. DS1, Larocke will be a dark horse if he can still swing a bat, lots left in the tank there…
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
