I listened to all of your links, too. I like Linkin Park a lot, but that song belongs to Adele (IMHO), one of my all time favorites and I never tire of it.
oh, they give full credit to her at the beginning and end of the song. They were in London when they sang it. I love her version, but theirs is great too

cab, yes. that is just a killer of a song, The original video was released by Adele to her fans Nov. or Dec. a year ago, and I remember I listened to it 10 times a day for a solid month and was just amazed at how good it was. And I’m still not tired of it.
it is a great song (if you listen to the very end of the LInkin Park video, Chester thanks Adele for writing it)- their cover is just different enough to make it, in my opinion, as good as the original (or very close) (Linkin Park is probably my favorite band, so I may be a bit bias… )
Bat, those kind of bands in those kind of clubs were always fun and there were usually lots and lots of chicks. You are making me misty for the good ole’ days.
cab, I completely understand. Metallica has done a lot of great covers, too, as has Pearl Jam. I always appreciate bands who aren’t afraid to take on a song just because it’s a great song even if it doesn’t fit their style.
That is something I sort of love about Linkin Park- I’ve heard them do everything from mellow songs like Rolling in the Deep to hard rock to quasi rap. They can and do pretty much cover most of the popular genres.
Also- they don’t do a lot of covers. I think they chose to do that one because they thought (like you and I and many others) that it was a great song and they were in her home town- I have also seen a clip of Chester and Mike sitting in plastic chairs in front of a random group of media, with one acoustic guitar playing Rolling in the Deep while looking at the sheet music spread on the floor (they were at some festival in Germany and it is one of the coolest clips I’ve seen)
Bat, I know exactly what you mean about the ones you always remember. I took my daughters to Six Flags when they were young and I remember sitting on a bench waiting while they were in line for the Scream Machine and I sat next to a pretty lady from Chattanooga who was waiting on her kids too. We must have talked for 2 hours and I kick myself to this day that I didn’t get her number and follow up. She was the neatest person and we seemed to have so much in common.
Heard about cutting ticket prices, and foiod prces good idea, which can bring more people out to the games. Just hope we don’t see any Yellow Pages out on the center field wall,or an advertisement for Goodyear Tires on the right field wall,or anything else?A liltle humor…….
Really “Drive”. Still don’t understand why everyone thinks that movie is so good. The first getaway scene was good, then there is a 30-45 minute dead period (actually don’t know how long but up to the robbery) then it picks up. But honestly I couldn’t tell if Gosling was autistic or just dumb in this movie. I actually could have cared less what happened to him and that coat was obnoxious. Ok the fight scenes were pretty good, but the rest of the middle of the movie was like watching paint dry…don’t see what all the fuss was about. 2 star movie IMO.
I like the Farm System, and think we should now just go with. We have some great talent coming up,and If we don’t have to trade, than we should not trade. We are solid in young arms, and with SS.I think we will be fine.
I believe the Braves will be better, and no I don’t see another callapse, but a stronger Braves team, and a Younger one going to the pay-offs again. All have a good one,and peace my friends…….talk tomorrow…….
I’m not sure that the Braves will be better, but I agree that another collapse is not very likely.
after some thought and several beers, I think it stinks that we are going to have as many players the likes of Diaz,Constanza, Durango, Sutton etc
maybe it was more than just several beers

I was surprised too that he rated Drive so highly. I liked it, but did not think it was that great.

I’m not sure that the Braves will be better, but I agree that another collapse is not very likely.
after some thought and several beers, I think it stinks that we are going to have as many players the likes of Diaz,Constanza, Durango, Sutton etc
maybe it was more than just several beers
