Let me rephrase that – 90 second, 90 yard drive…
Tomahawkin (The Godfather)
Man, Alex Smith is Garbage!
January 22nd, 20129:59 pm
VJ – As an author friend of mine once put it – “he had his critical faculty shot off in the war.” Klaus is a moron – or might be once he evolves from intellectual mole-hood.
January 22nd, 201210:00 pm
Some people on the blog have obviously not watched Alex all year…
Lew: did you ever participate in the Ramblin’ Raft Races down the Chattahoochee in the 70’s that we were talking about earlier?
You’re not gonna let that dipstick (hope you didn’t mind me borrowing that, Wayne) bother you, are you?
January 22nd, 201210:01 pm
I apologize for calling Eli a “Mother-flipping moron” half a second before he threw that pass…
Tom – Nah, just another mosquito swatting. Mildly diverting upon occasion. Keeps me from being overly complacent.
January 22nd, 201210:02 pm
Almost one of those mythical catches…
January 22nd, 201210:03 pm
ken -Nope. Unless watching the raftin scenes in Deliverance counts.
Ha,ha Gotcha’ Lew.
That was Huge! Come on 9ers
Screwing up making dinner here…
Did see one of the Allman Brothers (with Duane) Piedmont park shows, though.
January 22nd, 201210:04 pm
cab, I’ll try to shut up, this time.
Adventures in Punt Returning With Kyle WIlliams
January 22nd, 201210:05 pm
If I’m the Giants, I leave Vernon Davis uncovered…
January 22nd, 201210:06 pm
Hey Greg- THROW IT DEEP
January 22nd, 201210:07 pm
Akers has not missed from 75 this year…
January 22nd, 201210:08 pm
January 22nd, 201210:09 pm
Can’t wait for Hochuli to explain George’s OT rules…
Lew: those concerts in the park are legends. Did you know the ABB are getting a lifetime achievement award at the Grammy’s? Jaimoe stated in the AJC last week that they hope Dickey doesn’t show up, but they can’t stop him.
January 22nd, 201210:10 pm
Someone is going to lose a heartbreaker, tonight.
January 22nd, 201210:11 pm
I’ve already made VJ promise he won’t let me throw my wine glass at the TV
January 22nd, 201210:15 pm
Thank God for the Niner defense on themselves…
VJ, I just had a call during the break from a good friend that’s a Giant’s fan. He said, “do you see why I say it’s so tough to be a Giants’ fan”.
THAT’S THE SECOND FREAKING TIME THEY WOULD HAVE HAD A PICK IF THEY HAD NOT RUNNING TO EACH OTHER!!!
That Should’ve been Picked!
Giants are lucky!

A Liberty Media executive goes into a bank and says he wants to borrow $200 for six months. The loan officer asks him what collateral he has, and he says, “I have a Rolls Royce. Here are the keys; you can keep it until the loan is paid off.”
Six months later the guy comes back and pays off the $200 loan, plus $10 interest. The loan officer says, “Here are the keys. If you don’t mind my asking, why would a man who owns a Rolls Royce need to borrow $200?”
The executive says, “I had to go overseas for six months. Where else could I store a Rolls Royce for $10?”
January 22nd, 201210:17 pm
Again, the new OT rules are much ado about nothing…
I’ve already made VJ promise he won’t let me throw my wine glass at the TV — cabravesfan
VJ, try to talk her into drinking from a paper cup.
January 22nd, 201210:18 pm
and the glasses are heavy hand blown glass. would do serious damage to the TV…or anything else I flung them at
January 22nd, 201210:19 pm
Better the TV than me…
WTF is up with the Mike Mularkey Play calling here? SMH
We have 2 of those…
LAdy, do your receivers know what the 1st down marker looks like.
January 22nd, 201210:20 pm
But one of them is crappy
January 22nd, 201210:21 pm
Eli had no interest in getting first downs on the first possession since we couldn’t be sure a field goal would be helpful…
January 22nd, 201210:24 pm
I will Admit Both 9ers games are gonna be better than the Stuper Bowl…Those Cats are playing hard and there is Weather involved!
January 22nd, 201210:25 pm
Who Will Be Watching American Idiot (Idol) After The Game?
Even I disagree…
January 22nd, 201210:26 pm
Justin Smith. BEAST
January 22nd, 201210:27 pm
What happens if no one ever scores?
What was that about how good the GIANTS pass rush is? How about some love for the Niners??
Good joke, Tater.
I JUST TURNED IT OFF!
I hate Kyle WIlliams
You were right, as always, about that freakin’ Williams.
January 22nd, 201210:28 pm
I am so sorry, darling…
I hope Cab didn’t throw anything at the TV?
I would rather have Chilo Rachel field punts
January 22nd, 201210:29 pm
Cab is too busy trying to control her volcanic temper to throw anything at the moment.
January 22nd, 201210:31 pm
I always feel horribly for the guy that screws it up royally but this guy’s made some boneheaded mistakes today.
January 22nd, 201210:32 pm
Maybe Lawrence will mess up too.
January 22nd, 201210:33 pm
Now BSPN Will be Suck!ing off the Giants and Patriots the Next 2 weeks…
Spring Training begins in less than a Month…
January 22nd, 201210:34 pm
This has been such good game. To have it come down to the freaking BACK UP KICK RETURNER F UP AN F’ING PUNT IN OVERTIME THAT WILL COST HIS TEAM A TRIP TO THE FREAKING SUPER BOWL IS MAKING ME RANTY AND STABBY. I HATE HIM SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.
Ted Ginn on one freaking leg is a better option to return punts
Not how I wanted to win…
Man, (whew!) sorry cabravesfan.
Congrats, VJ. Your team sure had an interesting year. Good luck in 2 weeks.
January 22nd, 201210:35 pm
congrats, VJ, Kat, Ward and the other Giants fans.
Congrats VJ I’ll be rooting for you in the Super Bowl
January 22nd, 201210:37 pm
Rant and Hate but do it at home!
At least no mixed feelings in 2 weeks…
so confusing. even though the NY Giants moved to SF, they are now back in NY playing a team from SF? Surreal
January 22nd, 201210:38 pm
Good game, good season
cab will be getting an excellent meal tonight to help out a little bit…
January 22nd, 201210:39 pm
See You Cats Tomorrow…
January 22nd, 201210:40 pm
See ya, Tomahawkin.
You may want to slip a few Ambien in that meal, too, VJ.
Proud that my Niners had such a great season. Heartbroken about the way it ended. Great game, Giants were outstanding. Wish it hadn’t ended because of a turnover.
January 22nd, 201210:41 pm
nolie – did you here that Joe Biden was in SF and called the football team the San Francisco Giants?
January 22nd, 201210:42 pm
She has to be up early to work out in the rain…
January 22nd, 201210:43 pm
I have a large bottle of wine. Actually, I have Ambien too… I’ll be fine
January 22nd, 201210:47 pm
Patriots is going to win it this time!!!!!!!!!
January 22nd, 201210:50 pm
nope VJ, but I can see how it might happen
Wish it hadn’t ended because of a turnover.
That’s what I had said to the 2 friends that are here. I was hoping that the winning team would win it on a drive, not a mistake.
After watching all of that game, it kind of leaves me… unsatisfied. That probably sounds crazy.
January 22nd, 201210:53 pm
BTW VJ, I’ll try to get it mailed off middle of the week
January 22nd, 201210:54 pm
nolie – thanks!
January 22nd, 201211:03 pm
Hello everyone! Whew………..That one was a nail bitter. Cab-Your team did great, and have respect for their “D”.Great battle, and 49ers will be back next season too. They are for real.I have no questions on that.
January 22nd, 201211:08 pm
Ward – congrats!
January 22nd, 201211:10 pm
KRP – the Thanksgiving episode was a turkey drop, frozen turkeys from a few thousand feet. Bombs away in Cincinnati!
January 22nd, 201211:11 pm
Appropriate comment from 49ers Safety Donte Whitner: “It’s not the end of the world, but right now, it feels like it”
January 22nd, 201211:13 pm
Too bad it ended that way, though i do despise the niners….
January 22nd, 201211:14 pm
I can’t help feeling that if Ted Ginn was healthy, the Niners win
January 22nd, 201211:16 pm
Agree about Ginn….fumbled punts are especially deadly mistakes.
Chris from the Rock
January 22nd, 201211:17 pm
MLB Inside News just said on twitter than Prince has signed an 8 year deal with Nats, with an opt out after 3. But he’s been wrong before.
VJ- I was almost just as shacky, and I don’t know how I still kept cool, and calm. That was the best game I’ve seen in a while, and I’m lucky the Giants were able to win. Still hats off to 49ers for a tough, gritty, game. They should hold there heads up,and walk away proudly.
January 22nd, 201211:19 pm
I’m sure I enjoyed the Giants win as much as the other Giants fans on the blog. Onto Indy! Should be great to get a Superbowl win and watch Brady lose.
January 22nd, 201211:20 pm
Can Prince last 8 more years as fat as he is?
I doubt it.
VJ was kind enough to temper his happiness, but I know he’s thrilled that his Giants are in the Super Bowl again
January 22nd, 201211:21 pm
Now he’s claiming the Nats front office said it’s a DONE DEAL. Hmmmmmmmmm.
That Prince rumor is false. There is nothing on ESPN……..Wait until DOB confirms it first.
January 22nd, 201211:23 pm
Prince numbers will start to decline this season,so I would give him 3 years, but each year begining with the first he will decline.
January 22nd, 201211:26 pm
Regardless if you’re a Giants fan or not I think it was great to see the pure happiness and joy on Cruz’s face when they won. Seems like a great kid. So are you rooting for Pats or Giants now that you’re team is out?
January 22nd, 201211:27 pm
This guy who is “breaking” the Prince news is the same guy who said on twitter that Colon had officially signed w/ the DBacks two days before he signed with OAK.
