@ATL3124 I still think Jurrjens gets dealt, but for prospects and not a bat. Maybe a minor league signing for an outfielder is left.
Where does Jurrjens even go at this point? Detroit, Boston, and Toronto seem to be the only teams with even a slight chance of adding another starter. I’d be really surprised if he was traded at this point.

DOB, any possibility that the A’s may be looking to flip Smith plus an OF prospect to us? — DAM
Haven’t heard anything, so I wouldn’t rule it out. But I do know this: The number of times that folks in these forums suggest or wonder if a team might trade for a player and “flip” him to another team is infinitely greater than the number of times a team actually trades for a player and “flips” him to another team. At least in baseball. It’s far more common in the NBA.

Great show. One of my favorites. Although I think I liked it more without Amy Farrah Fowler. Although I’m not 100% sure, sometimes too much of her is annoying.

Good point…it seems that some of baseball’s best players come from the DR. Haiti’s on the same island, why don’t they have more stars?
I don’t think it’s all that unusual jeffrey d. Think North America. USA supplies how many MLB players compared to Mexico and Canada? Probably not as big of a ratio compared to Hispanolo, but still very skewed in favor of the USA.

Plus in the DR you can grow up to be a farmer,a fisherman a valet at the resort or a baseball player. Which one would you want to be when you grow up? Farmer makes $1000 a year, Fisherman makes $1500, Valet makes $2000 and Fat Albert makes $25,000.000 a year.

I don’t see the Braves going after Seth Smith from the A’s though I am sure they will check in on him. I could see the Braves asking about Reddick more than Smith. The A’s will not have any use for Prado or Jurrjens. They would be looking for prospects.
