Good to see they make it into Florida, guess they don’t think there are any Braves fans here. I hope the reason is because they are here for spring training. Otherwise I can’t understand why they wouldn’t put a few locations in Florida.

Boycott this nonsense. Don’t participate in this or by another ticket as long as Fruiti is the manager and their disabled 3rd baseman hurts this team with his selfishness.

“their disabled 3rd baseman hurts this team with his selfishness.”

You mean the 3rd baseman who, among NL 3rd baseman last year, was 2nd in doubles (33), 3rd in HR (18), T2nd in RBI (70), and 3rd in OPS (.814)? Yeah, he really hurt the team.

Yeah, that’s right get that old loser off of 3rd base so Brandon Hicks can get 600 plate appearances. Sure he hasn’t hit in the big leagues but at least he’s not a 39 year old 1st ballot hall of famer who’s consistently taken less money to stay in Atlanta. Talk about a selfish a-hole.

Has any one of those officials ever checked out a Braves game. Oh well, maybe someday. Meanwhile, Jason Kubel gets signed to a reasonable deal somewhere else.

Not us, we probably gets platoon prospects. Bumber off season.

Disagree with you former STH holder, Chipper is still a productive player.

He is not the problem. Gosh, look at the numbers, Chipper did earn his dough last yr.

I like my soon to be 40 yr old third baseman.

Braves had one of the better records in MLB for much of the season. Several national writers were talking them up as a World Series pick. The guys who built and managed and played themselves into that position did not suddenly become incompetent boobs on September 1. Stuff happens. Get over it. The Braves in the ’70s and ’80s were bad.

The 2006 and 2008 Braves were bad. When you’re bad, you’re just bad

Every other year since 2005 they’ve been pretty good but can’t get it done when it matters most.

That’s worse than justs watching a bad team. They build you up and pull the rug from under you at the last minute.

If you’re a Braves fan you’re used to it but if you’re a real fan you’re not supposed to just “get over it.”

The longer the general attitude is “It could be worse,” it’s just going to stay the same.

In fairness, they weren’t selling out playoff games when they had 100 win seasons so we get what we deserve.

•The Braves and Rockies have continued discussing a possible deal that would send Seth Smith to Atlanta for Martin Prado, according to MLB.com’s Thomas Harding. The Braves appear to be seeing what they can get for Jair Jurrjens first, however. Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports examined possible suitors for Smith earlier today, including the Braves despite their preference for a right-handed hitter

And the Braves are still talking to the Rockies about trading Prado for Seth Smith?? This is what you get when your city is punked by corporate greed. They move in and fool everybody then suck them in and then all the people that have the ability to write or report anything, they just just go with the flow.

They ask the “right” questions, write the “right” articles/stories so they can keep their jobs. Typical good ol southern hospitality!

Wish i could write about ATL sports, but then again, i would probably lose my job!

And people wonder why no superstars come to ATL. I want to vomit.

Mitchell,

Trust me as someone who was a kid in the 80s watching those horrible Braves teams, I would much rather have a good team that entertains for a whole season than one that is going to lose 100 games a year. It’s tough to win the World Series and the Braves choke job last year was because Tommy Hanson and Jair Jurrjens got injured and they over worked the bullpen.

Well, it appears we have on here the whole 10 or 15 Chipperettes who actually believe Chipper has been there for the Braves when they need him the most…you know, like Septembers and the playoffs? What a bunch of jock sniffing girly men!

Next ia guess the buffoon for a manager will have the Frutiettes joining the Chippereettes by waving their pink pom pom’s for them at the games. LOL!!!

Again, boycott this utter, unabashed buffoonery until they have the basic common sense to hire a manager that has more than a double digit IQ. He is so dumb he has to ask the reporters questions about the game he just managed in the post game interviews!

scotsbravesfan They lost last year because Fredi blew at least three games with basic management mistakes that even Vin Scully could have won and we went into the crapper on offense. Our pitchers were injured but with some hitting we still would have made the playoffs and the Cardinals would be where the Braves are now in the might be relevant wait til next year group. You have to hit eventually and the Braves never did. Every world series we lost was not because of pitching but lack of run support. The Leyritz debacle not withstanding.

What is the big deal over Seth Smith and why does Wren want in a platoon 29 yr old guy who is an average player.

Prado is better hands down when right. If you get the Martin Prado of 2009 and 10 & I think he will be back, why in the blazes would you move him for mediocrity unless its nothing but a potemtial $$$$$$$ dump given that he is soon to be arb ready.

And sabermetrics aside, 13-14 game winners with a career mid 3’s ERA do not get replaced that easily. Have people forgotten that the objective is to win the game, not FIP or BAIP the other guy. When is FIP and BAIP showing up in the standings?

Chipper is still okay and will be at 40. He is not the problem. Of course Alex Gonzalez was not the problem in September. Sabermetricians hate that last remark.

Sabermetrics have done a bigger disservice to the game then Steriodscould ever hope to in my book.
