Leo Mazzone won fourteen division titles. The six years since he was run out of town because cox though he was receiving to much credit for the braves success, the braves have won zero titles. The pitching staff has broken down every year since he left..Cox is not going to allow fredi to bring Leo back, and Aaron is not going to allow Heyward to be traded.Fredi needs to grow a backbone before he’s run out of Atlanta.First thing is to trade Chipper to the American league to be used as a dh.
I like Leo(and didn’t want him to leave) and we might not have won 1 since he left but look at the record he has accumulated since leaving. The Braves have done much better than the pitchers he coached. Leo was actually fired from the Orioles a year before his contract even ended.
I do not like the fact that Fredi would “hide” from people for a month…shows something about a man’s character (or lack thereof). Don’t be a coward,. Come out and face those people and apologize for what you did and promise to do better. THEN DO IT!!!
as I say goodbye to this franchise, the owners of the fans scoff and laugh in our face, exhorts others to do the same and not attending games. when I see this team is sold and then will buy an owner, but do not let any gm or president we see the face of a..holes, if not more and not go back because it hurts you know, being a fan for 20 years. goodbye to the brave and become only when you see winning big movements.
First off Fredi isn’t the GM. Fredi better take what he can get and make the best of it. Can’t see Fredi and the Braves finishing higher than third. 80-85 wins projected. No need to get excited about the wildcard in 2012.
Man this is so quiet with no Braves buzz i guess Wren decided to take a long vacation so much for waiting for the right deal they most will make a minor move till spring training IMO .
GEAUX BRAVES!!!!! I wouldnt dare trade jergens hes awesome and please dont 4get that pitching last year, carried the bravos b4 hanson and jergens went dowm!!!!! i think the best thing would be rite now is to trade OWNERS with the marlins.
1. cannot count heyward out after 2 seasons people. come on! as long as he makes adjustments like the good hitters do he will be fine. only concern is he is always getting injured.
2.I highly doubt we are trading prado or jj, like wren and fredi have said it would have to blow us away for us to trade them.
3.people griping about fredi need to give it a rest. The players are playing the game! not the manager, fredi did not lose 20 of the last 30 games by himself. you can look at any manager and find points where mistakes were made, nobody is perfect.
4. Go BRAVOS!
5.go away all you CRYBABIES!
Season Greetings folks, been a while. Getting ready to have a reverse “spinedectomy” done tomorrow. Spinal fusion from T-11 to L-5 (goes under the category of “see, I told you I was sick”) anyway, wanted to let everyone know I was still alive and kicking and should be ready for the start of the regular season, won’t make to ST this year but long term goal is to be able to play golf in the Bahamas by next Christmas. Short term goal will be to able to perform personal hygiene unassisted…
Man, what’s with all the negativity? The braves aren’t a team that goes and spends big money (no more ted turner), so all you wanting this and that, keep that in mind. The braves will be fine as long as their offense comes around. I’m interested to see the new SS and see if Heyward can fix his swing with the new hitting coach. If those two positions work out and we can keep Prado and JJ, this team has a chance to make a good run.
I think it is time to wake up concerning the Atlanta Braves of 2011. Atlanta had some thump in there bats, but the offense stopped there. The stats do not lie. Braves ranked 26th in avg, 22nd in runs, 23rd in hits, 6th in strikeouts, 14th in walks, which made for a whopping OBP ranked 26th in the league. Those numbers do not a playoff team make. If it weren’t for the pitching, this team would have been a sub 500 disappointment. We would have been yelling for changes. I feel the offense was exposed during the last month of the year, and without some added productivity brought in, will be exposed even more this year. Tweaks are just the beginning. Shore up this offense or be prepared for a long summer in 2012.

Let’s see, the Braves are sticking to basically the same compliment of players who produced the collapse , save a few such as Lowe and McLouth.
When a scenario is repeated, with the expectation of a different outcome, that’s insanity. Go figure..
