Someone told me long ago There’s a calm before the storm
I know; It’s been comin’ for some time.
When it’s over so they say It’ll rain a sunny day
I know; Shinin’ down like water.
CHORUS:
I want to know Have you ever seen the rain?
I want to know Have you ever seen the rain
Comin’ down on a sunny day?
Yesterday and days before Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know; Been that way for all my time.
‘Til forever, on it goes Through the circle, fast and slow,
I know; It can’t stop, I wonder.
I need love, the kind of love I’ve never know before
You need it too the kind that makes you feel so good
I want to give you all the love you need
Well I’m a loner and thats the way I want to be
As the sun climbs across the sky above
So your smile fill me with a stronger love
Just as you and I watchin’ the morning sky
Somehow I know it’s time for me to say goodbye
I cant make a deal with the preacher
And i can’t make a bargain in heaven
Angel you came to my window, angel you came to my door
I was a fool and I let you in, I sure ain’t no fool any more
As the sun climbs across the sky above
So your smile fill me with a stronger love
Just as you and I watchin’ the morning sky
Somehow I now it’s time for me to say goodbye
I can’t make a deal with the preacher
And I can’t make a bargain in heaven
Listen to Wren, he says the same thing every time he opens his mouth. We’re going to field the best team, etc, etc,Blah Blah Blah. 2012 will a repeat of 20ll. Basically, the same bunch, same injuries and same players that can’t cut it. It’s all a bunch of crap.

Tonight, I wanna lay it at your feet

his .750 career OPS on the road is better than Prado’s .745 career road OPS…DOB

I guess nolie was so eager to get on and comment about the insignificance of those virtually identical OPS totals that he missed the next few paragraphs where I addressed precisely that:

While Smith’s career statistics are significantly better at hitter-friendly Coors Field (like all Rockies hitters), his .750 career OPS on the road is better than Prado’s .745 career road OPS.
Smith has 20 homers and a .418 slugging percentage in 677 road at-bats, while Prado has 23 homers and a .412 slugging percentage in 994 road at-bats.
Granted that’s not much of a difference, but keep in mind many Colorado hitters have traditionally struggled mightily in road games because of the differences from the hitting environment they get acclimated to at home.
Smith is a .296 career hitter with a .925 OPS in 235 games at Coors Field.
In his third season in 2011, the 28-year-old Smith narrowed the home/road disparity quite a bit, batting .285 with nine homers and an .848 OPS in 71 games at Coors Field and .283 with six homers and an .817 OPS in 75 road games.
DOB – any inclination if the Braves might be among the teams interested in courting Yu Darvish?
No, I get the impression that the Braves aren’t going for any of the current crop of foreign free agents that includes the Cuban outfielder and the various Japanese players who may or may not be posted.
The times are tough now, just getting tougher
This old world is rough, it’s just getting rougher
Cover me, come on baby, cover me
Well I’m looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
Promise me baby you won’t let them find us
Hold me in your arms, let’s let our love blind us
Cover me, shut the door and cover me
Well I’m looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
Outside’s the rain, the driving snow
I can hear the wild wind blowing
Turn out the light, bolt the door
I ain’t going out there no more
This whole world is out there just trying to score
I’ve seen enough I don’t want to see any more,
Cover me, come on and cover me
I’m looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
Looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me
This old highway seems so lonesome when you’re going where you’ve been
And the lonesome song will make you cry time and time again
If I had listened to a friend of mine ten years ago today
I’d have a better job than what I’ve got today
But the billboards on the highway and the brake-lights on the cars
Make me jump out on the highway with my bag and my guitar
If she comes or if she goes it doesn’t matter anymore
’cause I’m ridin’ my thumb to Mexico

Now Smackwater Jack, he bought a shotgun
‘Cause he was in the mood for a little confrontation
He just let it all hang loose
He didn’t think about the noose
He couldn’t take no more abuse
So he shot down the congregation
You can’t talk to a man
With a shotgun in his hand

Jeffrey – to support an innocent McCann, if you’ll go back and look at the last sentence you’ll see where I said that he would never have eaten them if he had known what was in them.
But I bet you could not get them away from him after 2 or 3. Munchies kicking in and Mccann is eatin as fast as he can unwrap.
Now Big Jim the chief stood for law and order
He called for the guard to come and surround the border
Now from his bulldog mouth
As he led the posse south
Came the cry, we got to ride
Clean up the streets for our wives and our daughters
You can’t talk to a man
When he don’t want to understand
No, no, no, no, no, no
Rita was sixteen years… hazel eyes and chestnut hair
She made the Woolworth counter shine
Eddie was a sweet romancer, and a darn good dancer
They’d waltz the aisles of the five and dime
They’d sing, “Dance a little closer to me… dance a little closer now
Dance a little closer tonight
Dance a little closer to me… it’s closing time
And love’s on sale tonight at this five and dime
My bills are all due and the babies need shoes,
But I’m Busted
Cotton’s gone down to a quarter a pound
And I’m Busted
I got a cow that’s gone dry
And a hen that won’t lay
A big stack of bills
Getting bigger each day
The county’s gonna haul my belongings away,
But I’m Busted
So I called on my brother to ask for a loan
‘Cause I was Busted
I hate to beg like a dog for a bone,
But I’m Busted
I was searchin’ SEARCHIN’ on a one-way street,
I was hopin’ HOPIN’ for a chance to meet.
I was waitin’ for the operator on the line.
SHE’S GONE SO LONG What can I do?
WHERE COULD SHE BE? No no no,
don’t know what I’m gonna do,
I gotta get back to you.
You gotta slow down SLOW DOWN sweet talkin’ woman SLOW DOWN
You got me runnin’ RUN RUN you got me searchin’.
Hold on HOLD ON sweet talkin’ lover HOLD ON
It’s so sad if that’s the way it’s over.
I was WALKIN’ many days go by,
I was thinkin’ THINKIN’ ’bout the lonely nights.
Communication breakdown all around.
SHE’S GONE SO LONG What can I do?
WHERE COULD SHE BE? No no no,
don’t know what I’m gonna do,
I gotta get back to you.

WHY is Matt Diaz in the Braves’s plans for 2012???!!!!!!!!!!!
Diaz is a no-talent, washed-up, pig-in-a-poke, garage sale, bargain basement BUM who the Braves SEEM to love. Diaz COULD NOT make ANY other MLB roster. A ‘career year’ for Matt Diaz (”he rakes lefthanders you know”) is .240 batting avg. with 6 HRs. “Double Play” Matt Diaz.
Matty Diaz is the same stiff who (and I quote AJC) “Managed to keep his sense of humor after the Braves’s playoff collaspe.” Do we want a guy (who cannot hit anymore) that thinks the Braves playoff collaspe is FUNNY???!!!! NO Matt, you NO-TALENT BUM, it is NOT FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!
If the Braves get Seth Smith in a deal from the Rockies, that means Matt Diaz WILL get 300 ABs as the platoon OF against lefthanders. The Braves offense is “CHALLENGED” enough without having Diaz penciled in the lineup. “Double Play Matt Diaz.”
THANK YOU for pre-verifying what I knew in September…. there is NO WAY the Braves will sign Michael Bourn to an extension. I hope we all enjoyed seeing Michael in a Braves uniform for those few short months. Scott Boras and Liberty CHEAPIA DO NOT play well together.
Bourn was a guy who brought skills to the table the Braves hadn’t had in years, namely SPEED and a TRUE leadoff hitter. Sayanara Michael, we’ll miss you.
And the “Letter to the Fans” the Braves sent out after the playoff collaspe is turning out to be COMPLETE LIE!!! I knew the letter as just lip service and too good to be TRUE. The letter stated the Braves were going to do every effort possible to “improve the team.”
Is letting Michael Bourn go, giving that BUM Matt Diaz 300 ABs, salary dumps, and signing an “AFFORDABLE” SS IMPROVING the team???? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also knew in the end it always get down to “cheap-o-nomics” with Liberty CHEAPIA. The “good soldier” for the company Frank Wren (firefrankwren.com) is the PERFECT guy at the Braves helm. Frank’s great, great UNCLE prepared the navigational charts for the TITANIC. Frank’s great, great, great, great, Grandfather “rented” rooms to “gringos” at the Alamo.
Mark Cuban, can you here me callin’?????????? Braves fans need a hero.
The “letter to fans” was NOTHING but propoganda to get us rubes to come to Turner Field in 2012 and enjoy the “ambience.” All I know is that Matt Diaz is an EMBARRASSMENT to be a starting OF. Now that’s funny Matty, you having a job in the majors!!!!!!!
Ok, first off Matt Diaz, is not, will not, nor ever will be the Opening day starter in LF for the Braves, he is a backup, secondly 94 mill final 2011 payroll aint too shabby, hardly cheap….. lastly I apologize for the fact that the Braves owners would like a return on their investment, simple business tact f ya ask me, but then again I personally have been in business over 25 years, I dont exist to live on welfare so my employees can drive Lexus… so If what these guys spend bothers you try being a Rays, Reds, Padres, or Astros Fan there pally
Oh! well I am rolling up the ol blogaoke machine for the night, think I will hit the bed, Wife’s sister is getting Married tomorrow.. sooo monkey suits for all, just wish their Mom was here to see it.

Now Smackwater Jack, he bought a shotgun
‘Cause he was in the mood for a little confrontation
He just let it all hang loose
He didn’t think about the noose
He couldn’t take no more abuse
So he shot down the congregation
You can’t talk to a man
With a shotgun in his hand
Shotgun

Jeffrey – to support an innocent McCann, if you’ll go back and look at the last sentence you’ll see where I said that he would never have eaten them if he had known what was in them.
But I bet you could not get them away from him after 2 or 3. Munchies kicking in and Mccann is eatin as fast as he can unwrap.

Now Big Jim the chief stood for law and order
He called for the guard to come and surround the border
Now from his bulldog mouth
As he led the posse south
Came the cry, we got to ride
Clean up the streets for our wives and our daughters
You can’t talk to a man
When he don’t want to understand
No, no, no, no, no, no

Rita was sixteen years… hazel eyes and chestnut hair
She made the Woolworth counter shine
Eddie was a sweet romancer, and a darn good dancer
They’d waltz the aisles of the five and dime
They’d sing, “Dance a little closer to me… dance a little closer now
Dance a little closer tonight
Dance a little closer to me… it’s closing time
And love’s on sale tonight at this five and dime

My bills are all due and the babies need shoes,
But I’m Busted
Cotton’s gone down to a quarter a pound
And I’m Busted
I got a cow that’s gone dry
And a hen that won’t lay
A big stack of bills
Getting bigger each day
The county’s gonna haul my belongings away,
But I’m Busted
So I called on my brother to ask for a loan
‘Cause I was Busted
I hate to beg like a dog for a bone,
But I’m Busted

Saturday night and you’re still hangin’ around
Tired of living in your one horse town
you’d like to find a little hole in the ground,
for awhile..
So you go to the village in your tie dyed jeans
And you stare at the junkies and the closet queens
It’s like some pornographic magazine
And you smile…

I gotta get back to you.
You gotta slow down SLOW DOWN sweet talkin’ woman SLOW DOWN
You got me runnin’ RUN RUN you got me searchin’.
Hold on HOLD ON sweet talkin’ lover HOLD ON
It’s so sad if that’s the way it’s over.

I hang by my tail all the children to please

While you’re watching me I am watching you too

Deep inside of me
Boy, you just don’t realize
What you do to me
Your lips are sweet as candy
The taste stays on my mind
You just keep me thirsty
For another cup of wine
When you hold me
In your arms so tight
You let me know
Everything’s all right
I, I’m hooked on a feeling
I’m high on believing
That you’re in love with me

Ok, first off Matt Diaz, is not, will not, nor ever will be the Opening day starter in LF for the Braves, he is a backup, secondly 94 mill final 2011 payroll aint too shabby, hardly cheap….. lastly I apologize for the fact that the Braves owners would like a return on their investment, simple business tact f ya ask me, but then again I personally have been in business over 25 years, I dont exist to live on welfare so my employees can drive Lexus… so If what these guys spend bothers you try being a Rays, Reds, Padres, or Astros Fan there pally
