I’ll give you 3 trades you decide.
1. To Boston
J.Jurrjens
C.Bethancourt
Atl gets:
Josh Reddick
Jose Iglesias
F.Doubront

Or
To: KC
Jurrjens
Bethancourt
to
Atl
L.Cain
M.Moustaskas
or
Colorado
Jurrjens
Atl
H.Gomez
N.Arenado

Rays also trying to move Upton …who took off after moving in 2nd spot…but he too would be high.

Either way it goes count on a pitcher coming back in any deal that gets done.
Wren always gets a pitcher back.

The idea of trading Jurrjens and Prado is ridding their projected salaries through arbitration, most likely 4.5 and 5 million. If they currently have around 10 million, and then you’re going to have around 20 million to use in free agency for a left fielder and shortstop. Additionally, you’re added to your farm system. Gotta imagine Wren and co. have identified players that are free agents who can fit in their budget for left field and shortstop.

but more than 90% chance Jurrjens ends up in KC.
and I see Marteen traded to Tampa.

Everyone eyeballing Cahill, or Gonzalez in Oakland …..ahem…. The line starts with The NEW YORK YANKEES, followed by Boston,Washington and Philly! KC aint got a chance in hell at either of those guys, first off Moore isn’t caving on Wil Myers, nor is he giving up Montgomery, or his other LHP, then with both Cahill, and Gonzalez being ten times the Pitcher Jurrjens is, cost is the next factor.

That is way one sided in Boston’s way, JoeBrave.

To: KC
Jurrjens
Bethancourt
to
Atl
L.Cain
M.Moustaskas

Can’t see them dealing Moustakas.

Colorado
Jurrjens
Atl
H.Gomez
N.Arenado

Can’t see them trading Nolan Arenado.

Those prospects mentioned in that Detroit article show how bad a shape the Tigers system currently is in. Perhaps that’s all they could get for Prado, but I have to imagine they’d be able to get at least one good prospect.

JoeBrave

Detroit is in pitiful shape prospect wise.
I highly doubt any deal with the Rangers will take place.
The Dodgers need a 2b real bad, but what can they offer? Dee Gordon?? Nah!!! Pass.
The Angels, now there could be a match, with Atl for Jurrjens, still think KC is the destination unless Moore loses his mind.

Did anyone notice how the idiot play-by-play guy pronounced TERDOSLAVICH when he did the run-down on the line-up for the west? TERD – O – SLA – VICH. Evidently someone quickly clued him in as afterward it was almost correct at TER – DOS – LA – VICH. I believe the H is silent in eastern europe, but he may in fact pronounce the ‘H’ I’m not entirely certain.

JOE TERDO sure looks smooth at the plate and around 1st doesn’t he?

The Braves tried to acquire him twice last offseason, first from the Brewers, then from the Royals. Many of the same names were in play in the Braves-Brewers talks — Beachy-for-Cain was discussed, as was Jurrjens-for-Brett Lawrie. – Ken Rosenthal

The Braves operate at a different financial level and, sources say, intend to increase their payroll from $87 million, their Opening Day figure last season. They already have about $60.1 million committed for ‘12, according to Cot’s Baseball Contracts, including the $10 million they sent to the Indians with Lowe. But to do something bigger, they will need more payroll flexibility.

Both Prado and Jurrjens stand to earn about $5 million in arbitration. Bourn, Hanson and left-hander Eric O’Flaherty also are arbitration-eligible.

If they increase to say, $95 million, then they would have at least 20 million, if not 25 to spend in free agency. Ken is wrong about Hanson, though. He isn’t arb. eligible until after 2012.
