Why is Bolden even in this game? Guy has not mental clock. More than once he has had defenders running at him from the front and the guy doesnt know what to do. Cant pass to save his life. I want Moxie Matt back in.

It seems to me that once you get past 5 or so players that the Braves have almost nothing within two years of being ready.

I thinking Wren should get us a couple of players if he can.LF,and RF,and a strong bench guy now.I think that’s prabably all we need. Then start bringing up our prosepects in a few years, and stay with them.

I’m thinking Wren, might not have to do too much for a long time.We should develope our prospects, and use them, not trade them.

October 29th, 2011

Pujols WAS a big difference in this series…even if the power stats (other than game three) dont reflect it. Pujols was intentionally walked (as well as unintentionally walked) a number of times throughout the World Series. As Tim McCarver said…walks lead to runs scored. Pujols’ presence in the lineup put pressure on Rangers pitching…giving the likes of Freese and Berkman opportunity after opportunity to hit with runners in scoring position.

Just as the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl last year despite having 15 players put on injured reserved during the season…..the Cardinals overcame their share of key injuries (Adam Wrainwright), as well as a big deficit in the Wild Card standings….as well as not having Matt Holliday available for Game 7…to win the World Series.

Braves fans, well…let’s just say that we are experts on blaming injuries and “bad breaks” and the old patented “we hit it right at them” BS excuses on our ineptitude. Many on here fail to remember that we were lucky to make the playoffs in 2010. If San Diego hadnt played as badly as we did down the stretch in 2010…they overtake the Wild Card from us..just as the Cardinals did this year.

So freaking what that the Phillies played us tough the last series of the season? For a part of the country that takes so called pride in not taking handouts……I find it ironic that that is PRECISELY what many Braves fans wanted: Welfare wins from the Phillies the last series of the season.

Herman Cain told the Occupy Wall Streeters to “get a job…that it was their fault that they dont have a job”. Someone should say to the Braves organization, “It’s your fault you didnt make the Wild Card. Go out and win some freaking games”.

After watching these playoffs, I’ve come to the conclusion that Yadier Molina is the BEST overall catcher in baseball. While McCann can hit for a little more power than Molina….Molina is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above McCann as a defensive catcher. The Rangers had virtually NO RUNNING GAME in the World Series. Neither did Philly or Milwaukee.

Plus, Molina doesnt need a day off every week like McCann does. I’ll never forget Molina playing all 20 innings of that 20 inning game against the Mets in April of 2010….only to come back and play the next two games (on top of playing the previous three days before that marathon extra inning game).

Sure, David Ross is a very capable backup. However, he doesnt have the bat that McCann has (when healthy and in the lineup).

As much as I’d like to see the Braves win another World Series, I’d rather see us flop and lose in 2012…..which would hopefully result in not only Fredo Gonzo being fired….but also see the almost $40 mil that would come off the books (Chipper, Lowe and Hudson all become free agents) be allocated to healthy, productive free agents.

If I was a Colts fan, I’d want to see them lose every single game….which would result in not only the drafting of Andrew Luck..but also see their inept coach Jim Caldwell fired. Sometimes, one has to get sick….in order to get well.

One doesnt have to be a fan of a team….to respect how they go about getting shyt done. I feel that the Tea Baggers are dangerous to America…however I totally respect how they are able to package their message and the effectiveness of their lobbying….something I feel that the Occupy Wall Streeters could learn from.

The Cardinals and Packers both overcame a plethora of injuries and adversity to win the World Series and Super Bowl. The Braves, on the other hand…..blamed the hitting coach. Pretty pathetic. Way to take responsibility for one’s ineptitude.
