Why is Bolden even in this game? Guy has not mental clock. More than once he has had defenders running at him from the front and the guy doesnt know what to do. Cant pass to save his life. I want Moxie Matt back in.

He didn’t choke in 2010. He hit .429 in the NLDS!!! And something was wrong with him in 2011, be it the oblique or something else that came up, but he was not right…
I get so irritated with the people that attack DOB on Twitter. How the [heck] is he bothering them in any way? If you don’t care, don’t read…Good geysh, Beaver!…
the relentless fight of the cardinal players stands in stark contrast to the braves’ players. if we can figure out what’s at the root of that, we may get somewhere. any ideas? manager? scouting with an emphasis on character?
Pujols WAS a big difference in this series…even if the power stats (other than game three) dont reflect it. Pujols was intentionally walked (as well as unintentionally walked) a number of times throughout the World Series. As Tim McCarver said…walks lead to runs scored. Pujols’ presence in the lineup put pressure on Rangers pitching…giving the likes of Freese and Berkman opportunity after opportunity to hit with runners in scoring position.
Just as the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl last year despite having 15 players put on injured reserved during the season…..the Cardinals overcame their share of key injuries (Adam Wrainwright), as well as a big deficit in the Wild Card standings….as well as not having Matt Holliday available for Game 7…to win the World Series.
Braves fans, well…let’s just say that we are experts on blaming injuries and “bad breaks” and the old patented “we hit it right at them” BS excuses on our ineptitude. Many on here fail to remember that we were lucky to make the playoffs in 2010. If San Diego hadnt played as badly as we did down the stretch in 2010…they overtake the Wild Card from us..just as the Cardinals did this year.
So freaking what that the Phillies played us tough the last series of the season? For a part of the country that takes so called pride in not taking handouts……I find it ironic that that is PRECISELY what many Braves fans wanted: Welfare wins from the Phillies the last series of the season.
Herman Cain told the Occupy Wall Streeters to “get a job…that it was their fault that they dont have a job”. Someone should say to the Braves organization, “It’s your fault you didnt make the Wild Card. Go out and win some freaking games”.
Just talked to longtime American League scout who’s been extremely impressed by Braves LH Sean Gilmartin this fall, and also believes Terdoslavich is going to be a good hitter, particularly from the left side.
After watching these playoffs, I’ve come to the conclusion that Yadier Molina is the BEST overall catcher in baseball. While McCann can hit for a little more power than Molina….Molina is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above McCann as a defensive catcher. The Rangers had virtually NO RUNNING GAME in the World Series. Neither did Philly or Milwaukee.
Plus, Molina doesnt need a day off every week like McCann does. I’ll never forget Molina playing all 20 innings of that 20 inning game against the Mets in April of 2010….only to come back and play the next two games (on top of playing the previous three days before that marathon extra inning game).
Sure, David Ross is a very capable backup. However, he doesnt have the bat that McCann has (when healthy and in the lineup).
As much as I’d like to see the Braves win another World Series, I’d rather see us flop and lose in 2012…..which would hopefully result in not only Fredo Gonzo being fired….but also see the almost $40 mil that would come off the books (Chipper, Lowe and Hudson all become free agents) be allocated to healthy, productive free agents.
If I was a Colts fan, I’d want to see them lose every single game….which would result in not only the drafting of Andrew Luck..but also see their inept coach Jim Caldwell fired. Sometimes, one has to get sick….in order to get well.
One doesnt have to be a fan of a team….to respect how they go about getting shyt done. I feel that the Tea Baggers are dangerous to America…however I totally respect how they are able to package their message and the effectiveness of their lobbying….something I feel that the Occupy Wall Streeters could learn from.
The Cardinals and Packers both overcame a plethora of injuries and adversity to win the World Series and Super Bowl. The Braves, on the other hand…..blamed the hitting coach. Pretty pathetic. Way to take responsibility for one’s ineptitude.
Getting ready to watch the best team in college football, Stanford beat up on USC. I find it amusing that many SECers feel that Luck would have a hard time carving up the SEC. Whatever, lol! Luck is a stud. And he’s still a junior, lol! Imagine the uproar he would cause if he came back for his senior year?
After watching these playoffs, I’ve come to the conclusion that Yadier Molina is the BEST overall catcher in baseball. While McCann can hit for a little more power than Molina
Wow!
Molina slugged above .400 for the first time in his career this year. Mac slugged as low as .400 only in his rookie season.Never below .452 since. Yes that’s “a little more power”.
Back for one comment! Who put Obama on the Web page for campaign. That is truly pathetic…….I would ask the blog to remove it please. It’s bad enough you have to hear about him now!
Snotboogie…….I said Molina was the best OVERALL catcher in baseball. The defensive gap between Molina and McCann is MUCH GREATER than the offensive gap between the two.

Plus, Molina doesnt need a day off every week like McCann does.
BMac doesn’t need a day off every week. He got what—two games off in all of September…? He’s played 1 more season than BMac but only caught about 600 more innings.
What part of that cant your Sling Blade like mind understand?
Well, you said McCann had a “little more” power than Molina, and Snotboogie pointed out that over their careers, McCann has had a lot more power than Molina.
Actually, I’m a Razorback fan. Grew up in Arkansas. However, I am really impressed with Stanford.
Luck would have been the #1 pick in the draft if he had come out (he’s a redshirt junior this year) last year. He’s pretty much a lock to win the Heisman this year.
