Why is Bolden even in this game? Guy has not mental clock. More than once he has had defenders running at him from the front and the guy doesnt know what to do. Cant pass to save his life. I want Moxie Matt back in.
October 29th, 20115:01 pm
Thank you Steve
October 29th, 20115:08 pm
Hello everyone! Maybe Wren, doesn’t have to do too much ,because the Braves are deep in prospects.
October 29th, 20115:12 pm
It seems to me that once you get past 5 or so players that the Braves have almost nothing within two years of being ready.
October 29th, 20115:13 pm
We are getting snow in Montana on Thursday, and Friday this week, and in the 30’s
October 29th, 20115:16 pm
I thinking Wren should get us a couple of players if he can.LF,and RF,and a strong bench guy now.I think that’s prabably all we need. Then start bringing up our prosepects in a few years, and stay with them.
October 29th, 20115:17 pm
I’m thinking Wren, might not have to do too much for a long time.We should develope our prospects, and use them, not trade them.
October 29th, 20115:26 pm
Marlins INF prospect Paul Gran just hit his first AFL home run, and guess what it was? Bases loaded. A gran(d) slam.
I thought you guys got snow for 13 months a year!!
October 29th, 20115:27 pm
Todd Cunningham made a great catch earlier, now bounces a double off RF warning track
October 29th, 20115:29 pm
“BMac did NOT choke, pea-brain. He was HURT!!!”
McCan’t wasn’t hurt, he choked. He did the same thing in 2010
October 29th, 20115:30 pm
Snotboogie: Snow is going to start late again, but it’s around the same time usually in November up here in the Northwestern part.
October 29th, 20115:34 pm

October 29th, 20115:47 pm
no, my name’s jeffrey d. No need for a countdown
October 29th, 20115:48 pm
He gives jeffs everywhere a bad rep.
October 29th, 20115:49 pm
Even Jeff Foxworthy?
October 29th, 20115:50 pm
Even jeffrey d.
October 29th, 20115:52 pm
oh wow…well I’m glad he changed his name to honor Tag Team so my name won’t be tarnished any further
October 29th, 20115:53 pm
@UGAZach: @ajcbraves quit tweeting during the UGA/FL game. Nobody in the south cares about Terdo in the moment. 2 hours ago
Don’t flatter yourself, UGAZach.
October 29th, 20115:56 pm
You should change yours to There It Is. You guys can be BFF’s.
October 29th, 20115:58 pm
Are 80’s Braves fan and his friends still around?
October 29th, 20116:00 pm
Is that the guy that decided to tell everyone what his real name was, where he lived and then declared us all assclowns?
October 29th, 20116:07 pm
Yeah, that one
I’ve never understood why folks who are so irritated with DOB’s tweets during the offseason dont just un-follow him or something. Seriously entitled folks.
October 29th, 20116:09 pm
I don’t understand how a tweet is disturbing this d-bag’s football watching experience.
McFann O O o Get Well Soon, Nolie!!
He didn’t choke in 2010. He hit .429 in the NLDS!!! And something was wrong with him in 2011, be it the oblique or something else that came up, but he was not right…
October 29th, 20116:11 pm
Don’t bother, McF. That’s Gimpah.
I get so irritated with the people that attack DOB on Twitter. How the [heck] is he bothering them in any way? If you don’t care, don’t read…Good geysh, Beaver!…
October 29th, 20116:12 pm
Yeah, it could be…I don’t intend to go at it with him for very long, but I’d been having withdraws…
October 29th, 20116:18 pm
geysh? Is McFann making up words?
the relentless fight of the cardinal players stands in stark contrast to the braves’ players. if we can figure out what’s at the root of that, we may get somewhere. any ideas? manager? scouting with an emphasis on character?
October 29th, 20116:23 pm
Well, it was “gosh” pronounced with a Ward Cleaver accent…wasn’t sure how else to spell it…
October 29th, 20116:25 pm
Did MLB, ever check the Cards for steriod use? A little humor…..
We made the 2007 Mets look like the 1927 Yankees
October 29th, 20116:29 pm
Pujols WAS a big difference in this series…even if the power stats (other than game three) dont reflect it. Pujols was intentionally walked (as well as unintentionally walked) a number of times throughout the World Series. As Tim McCarver said…walks lead to runs scored. Pujols’ presence in the lineup put pressure on Rangers pitching…giving the likes of Freese and Berkman opportunity after opportunity to hit with runners in scoring position.
Just as the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl last year despite having 15 players put on injured reserved during the season…..the Cardinals overcame their share of key injuries (Adam Wrainwright), as well as a big deficit in the Wild Card standings….as well as not having Matt Holliday available for Game 7…to win the World Series.
Braves fans, well…let’s just say that we are experts on blaming injuries and “bad breaks” and the old patented “we hit it right at them” BS excuses on our ineptitude. Many on here fail to remember that we were lucky to make the playoffs in 2010. If San Diego hadnt played as badly as we did down the stretch in 2010…they overtake the Wild Card from us..just as the Cardinals did this year.
So freaking what that the Phillies played us tough the last series of the season? For a part of the country that takes so called pride in not taking handouts……I find it ironic that that is PRECISELY what many Braves fans wanted: Welfare wins from the Phillies the last series of the season.
Herman Cain told the Occupy Wall Streeters to “get a job…that it was their fault that they dont have a job”. Someone should say to the Braves organization, “It’s your fault you didnt make the Wild Card. Go out and win some freaking games”.
October 29th, 20116:31 pm
Just talked to longtime American League scout who’s been extremely impressed by Braves LH Sean Gilmartin this fall, and also believes Terdoslavich is going to be a good hitter, particularly from the left side.
October 29th, 20116:32 pm
Oh well…it’s over now
October 29th, 20116:37 pm
I guess PL still drops by occasionally.
October 29th, 20116:39 pm
You Mark on the day off injecting the players in the Ass with needles. While it was raining…..
October 29th, 20116:42 pm
Just had to throw that in……..
October 29th, 20116:45 pm
It just crossed my mind,I could see that happening. How else could the Cards get so hot down the stretch.
October 29th, 20116:48 pm
After watching these playoffs, I’ve come to the conclusion that Yadier Molina is the BEST overall catcher in baseball. While McCann can hit for a little more power than Molina….Molina is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above McCann as a defensive catcher. The Rangers had virtually NO RUNNING GAME in the World Series. Neither did Philly or Milwaukee.
Plus, Molina doesnt need a day off every week like McCann does. I’ll never forget Molina playing all 20 innings of that 20 inning game against the Mets in April of 2010….only to come back and play the next two games (on top of playing the previous three days before that marathon extra inning game).
Sure, David Ross is a very capable backup. However, he doesnt have the bat that McCann has (when healthy and in the lineup).
October 29th, 20116:52 pm
Maybe you should start following the Cardinals there, We Make…
Blah,Blah ,Blah ,blah……….next……
October 29th, 20116:53 pm
Sorry, We MaDe
There was never a doubt. We had them all the way!
As much as I’d like to see the Braves win another World Series, I’d rather see us flop and lose in 2012…..which would hopefully result in not only Fredo Gonzo being fired….but also see the almost $40 mil that would come off the books (Chipper, Lowe and Hudson all become free agents) be allocated to healthy, productive free agents.
If I was a Colts fan, I’d want to see them lose every single game….which would result in not only the drafting of Andrew Luck..but also see their inept coach Jim Caldwell fired. Sometimes, one has to get sick….in order to get well.
October 29th, 20116:54 pm
Jeffrey d, was talking to the guy with the long name there, and nonsense…..
October 29th, 20116:56 pm
I gotcha, Ward
October 29th, 20116:58 pm
Well, all had to have some fun……Good win for the Irish today, and Montana. Going to watch the Wisconsin game later, and talk then. peace my friends……
One doesnt have to be a fan of a team….to respect how they go about getting shyt done. I feel that the Tea Baggers are dangerous to America…however I totally respect how they are able to package their message and the effectiveness of their lobbying….something I feel that the Occupy Wall Streeters could learn from.
The Cardinals and Packers both overcame a plethora of injuries and adversity to win the World Series and Super Bowl. The Braves, on the other hand…..blamed the hitting coach. Pretty pathetic. Way to take responsibility for one’s ineptitude.
October 29th, 20116:59 pm
The Georgia game is a good one to watch
October 29th, 20117:00 pm
You are only IMAGINING that you’re talking to him. He’s permanently banned from this blog.
October 29th, 20117:01 pm
Getting ready to watch the best team in college football, Stanford beat up on USC. I find it amusing that many SECers feel that Luck would have a hard time carving up the SEC. Whatever, lol! Luck is a stud. And he’s still a junior, lol! Imagine the uproar he would cause if he came back for his senior year?
October 29th, 20117:02 pm
JPosnanski Joe Posnanski
This Penn State-Illinois 0-0 game is a throwback … to those days when the forward pass was illegal.
He’s having some fun with the game. He’s at SCE right now, I believe.
Sometimes, one has to get sick….in order to get well.
Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco
We have an escapee.
October 29th, 20117:07 pm
And to top it off, how about Derek Dimke missing his first FG of the year, to tie it up?
Actually, Gavin Newsom is the Lt. Governor of California. Ed Lee is the interm mayor of San Fran.
I guess that news travels slow in the south. Deliverance anyone? Ned Beatty still stuck in the swamp?
October 29th, 20117:08 pm
Blair “Ray Finkle” Walsh couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn
Ed Lee, Interim Mayor of San Francisco
October 29th, 20117:10 pm
We still have an escapee. Sick.
October 29th, 20117:11 pm
After watching these playoffs, I’ve come to the conclusion that Yadier Molina is the BEST overall catcher in baseball. While McCann can hit for a little more power than Molina
Molina slugged above .400 for the first time in his career this year. Mac slugged as low as .400 only in his rookie season.Never below .452 since. Yes that’s “a little more power”.
October 29th, 20117:13 pm
The camera angle on TV didnt make it very clear – was sure it went through. Whew!
October 29th, 20117:15 pm
It bounced off the right upright, SB. He didn’t miss it by much.
October 29th, 20117:16 pm
Has he always been this bad?
October 29th, 20117:17 pm
Who said that about Molina, SB?
October 29th, 20117:18 pm
October 29th, 20117:20 pm
Some ignorant psychopath.
October 29th, 20117:22 pm
Dentz? (Crazy = PL, jd?)
What are you reading his garbage for, SB? Haven’t your eyes suffered enough today watching the Penn State game?
October 29th, 20117:24 pm
Yeah yeah, I know I shouldnt. But that stood out and asked to be bashed. Like “chadb” from the last offseason.
Ahh…that last TD would’ve been nice. Ah well….feels good to beat Florida
October 29th, 20117:25 pm
October 29th, 20117:46 pm
Back for one comment! Who put Obama on the Web page for campaign. That is truly pathetic…….I would ask the blog to remove it please. It’s bad enough you have to hear about him now!
October 29th, 20117:57 pm
Thanks for removing it.
October 29th, 20118:06 pm
Snotboogie…….I said Molina was the best OVERALL catcher in baseball. The defensive gap between Molina and McCann is MUCH GREATER than the offensive gap between the two.
What part of that cant your Sling Blade like mind understand?
October 29th, 20118:07 pm
Nice work, Ward
Wow. Somebody escaped from the loony bin tonight.
Plus, Molina doesnt need a day off every week like McCann does.
BMac doesn’t need a day off every week. He got what—two games off in all of September…? He’s played 1 more season than BMac but only caught about 600 more innings.
October 29th, 20118:08 pm
Well, you said McCann had a “little more” power than Molina, and Snotboogie pointed out that over their careers, McCann has had a lot more power than Molina.
The all caps stuff…could this be our (not) long (enough) lost “friend”…?
October 29th, 20118:09 pm
I meant Molina’s played one more season than BMac has…
Obviously facts count for nothing with repugnant and deluded ignoramuses.
October 29th, 20118:13 pm
Are you guys on the East Coast getting the USC-Stanford game on ABC?
October 29th, 20118:14 pm
We’ve got Clemson/Georgia Tech
October 29th, 20118:15 pm
Blaming the hitting coach for us blowing a 10 1/2 game lead…shows an inability to be in touch with reality.
October 29th, 20118:17 pm
jeffrey d……Stanford marching the opening kickoff down the field.
I’d love to see Stanford play the winner of the LSU-Alabama game in the title game.
October 29th, 20118:22 pm
Touchdown Stanford. Impressive opening drive.
bye bye baby
October 29th, 20118:23 pm
Must be Dentz, he supports a No. Calif team too.
Can we get DOB to ban him again?
October 29th, 20118:27 pm
Actually, I’m a Razorback fan. Grew up in Arkansas. However, I am really impressed with Stanford.
Luck would have been the #1 pick in the draft if he had come out (he’s a redshirt junior this year) last year. He’s pretty much a lock to win the Heisman this year.
October 29th, 20118:28 pm
Yes it is just coincidence that Stanford is near San Francisco.
October 29th, 20118:38 pm
Clearly you are so stupid you cant even read the post before trashing it. Quintessential Dentz.
BTW even by overall comparisons your estimates are way off. I mean so off that it’s not even funny. Nothing new considering the source. But since you clearly arent in possession of all your faculties, I’ll let it pass.
October 29th, 20118:44 pm
Sloppy win for the Dawgs, but I’ll take it. How in the world did Blair Walsh go from the best kicker in college football to the worst?
October 29th, 20118:46 pm
It’s in his head now, Bat
October 29th, 20118:48 pm
Must be, jeffrey. Sad
October 29th, 20118:51 pm
How in the world did Blair Walsh go from the best kicker in college football to the worst?
Tech special teams will gladly take him.
October 29th, 20118:52 pm
What’s up Paul? You taking the crazy train out for a ride?
Crazy,but that’s how it goes
Mental wounds not healing
life’s a bitter shame
I’m going off the rails on a crazy train
October 29th, 20119:00 pm
Is Tech playing without a kicker whatsoever?
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
