Kat – Aren’t you in upstate NY surrounded by Red Sox, Yankee and Mets’ fans with little room to talk?
Yes but facts get in the way of reality for those fans. No matter the result they will ALWAYS be better than the Braves and the Braves will always suck…according to those (Sox, Yankees, and Mets fans).
October 15th, 20113:10 pm
N8, it’s pretty obvious Parrish was not the answer as a hitting coach, but what do you expect from someone who had never been a hitting coach? So many hitters today have their own instructor that they fall back on, it’s hard to say how many are buying into any system. I believe Wren hit the nail on the head saying that our hitters need to battle every pitch and every at bat. I would be willing to say our offense would improve next year regardless of who you put in there. So Parrish will look even worse. That still doesn’t take away the accountability that each player should put on themselves. I bet Prado doesn’t blame his year on the staph infection or Parrish, although both affected him.
October 15th, 20113:47 pm
I’ve been curious to see how that Wasserman/SFX thing plays out. Was it Kinzer or Furcal who welched on that deal? I always felt it was ultimately Furcal, but…
Francisco Rodriguez’s former agent Paul Kinzer never provided a no-trade list to the Mets, Sandy Alderson confirmed on Thursday.
Alderson said that Rodriguez’s contract provided for a ten-team limited trade provision but that list was never sent by Kinzer. – July 14, 2011, ESPN New York
October 15th, 20113:51 pm
“I bet Prado doesn’t blame his year on the staph infection or Parrish, although both affected him.”
Prado seems like a standup guy that isn’t going to make public excuses for failure. That being said, if he doesn’t blame those two things (leaning much more towards the staph infection)…..
Then people really need to worry about him more than most are.
I don’t doubt that Prado will have a bounce back season next year if healthy. It’s going to be hard to not bounce back.
But I’m also of the belief that with our trade chips we have, Wren could improve the team in LF, even if Prado is healthy. It’s not a knock on Prado. He is what he is.
October 15th, 20114:02 pm
Prado had three straight years over 800, getting a LFer who will better that for certain will perhaps be a more expensive proposition than the Braves are likely to afford
October 15th, 20114:07 pm
It’s obvious by looking at the empty seats in New York, the Columbia Lions can’t be expected to win without fan support. Quakers being thrown into the Lion’s Den and the fans must be in Rome.
October 15th, 20114:21 pm

I hope no children on this page.
October 15th, 20115:34 pm
I’m beginning to think the Dawgs could not beat Florida even if they borrowed the New England Patriots roster
October 15th, 20115:36 pm
We beat Florida in 2007! Remember? Trinton Sturdivant does
I know what you mean, though. We’re something like 2-500 against them over our last few meetings
October 15th, 20115:40 pm
I remember when Ga owned the Gators. Owned them, no matter the talent Ga wins. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it’s been that way so long it needs resoled

I remember when Ga owned the Gators. Owned them, no matter the talent Ga wins
I don’t…I didn’t really follow college football until I was a freshman at Georgia in 2002
Florida was our only loss that year…

Hello everyone! I saw Efrims 2012 Free Agents list, and I think we look for a solid player for SS,but don’t give out too much money.Scutaro comes to my mind. Vertan, and a good contact hitter. Can get on base, and still Like Johnny Damon idea for a rental. If Baves can I’ll say it again Carlos Quentin, and than save up money for 2012. If my two senses are worth any thing?
October 15th, 20115:50 pm
2013 we go after a hitter…….
excuse my stream-of-consciousness, please
2014 we go after a baritone
October 15th, 20115:52 pm

October 15th, 20116:07 pm
Joey Divine!! I was wondering whatever happened to him…
Good luck, Joey! And some good nuggets in that article—I had no idea when I clicked on it……
October 15th, 20116:09 pm
still Like Johnny Damon idea for a rental.
Get him to grow his hair and beard back and he might make a good rental for a cave man exhibit. That’s about it though
October 15th, 20116:12 pm
Keith Law on our first round draft pick from 2011, LHP Sean Gilmartin:
One other first-round arm out here besides Cole and Hultzen is Atlanta left-hander Sean Gilmartin, who was a reach at the back of the first round because of his size and lack of upside. Gilmartin was 88-91 with an improved slider but worse change-up than I saw from him as an amateur, as well as a slow upper-60s curveball that is more of a show-me pitch. If you really like his command and control, and believe that his athleticism will allow him to overcome his slight build, you could see a fourth starter here in the big leagues.
October 15th, 20116:14 pm
That should never be a question…RIBS, of course! Always
October 15th, 20116:17 pm
Headed out the door for some ribs right now
October 15th, 20116:27 pm

October 15th, 20116:49 pm

October 15th, 20117:09 pm
Dang, it wasn’t that funny…
jeffrey d Ribs are okay, but they’re too much work
Kinda like cheese…
October 15th, 20117:14 pm
I wanted Tech to win…makes the UGA/GT game more exciting if they’re undefeated
BBQ joint is at most 5 minutes from my house. take out for the game
October 15th, 20117:16 pm
People always say stuff like “I hope GT loses!” or “I want Florida to go winless!” but I’ll always root for my rivals unless we’re playing them.. It makes us look better whether we win or lose.
Unless, of course, you need them to lose…like South Carolina
October 15th, 20117:18 pm
McFann – I had to Google that one…it sounded familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
“You know, I like cheese, but it’s too much work”
October 15th, 20117:19 pm
jeffrey d but I’ll always root for my rivals unless we’re playing them..
But only in football, right…?
October 15th, 20117:22 pm
Haha! Yeah, that one was a little vague…
“Here’s the deal: I’ll do this, and the cheese’ll spray out, and I cann write my name with it…”
October 15th, 20117:27 pm
Oh, and I saw one of those Brian Wilson Taco Bell commercials today…whoa…
Ribs (and cheese) are NEVER too much work. Never. Never…
October 15th, 20117:31 pm
The cheese thing is from a Jim Gaffigan bit—he’s trying to figger out the point of spray cheese…
October 15th, 20117:32 pm
Oh dear god, Washington State’s new uniforms are hideous. (Chosen by the fans…proof that Pullman is where common sense goes to die…)
October 15th, 20117:33 pm
There is no point to spray “cheese”
October 15th, 20117:39 pm
Such bold, bad a s s words from someone who blow hard’s others…Ivan the Infant
that is called projection Ivan sweetie. persons with your personality pathology live by it. transferring your problems onto others as an excuse for your pathetic obsessive behavior. Grow up little boy

October 15th, 20117:54 pm

Washington State is wearing baby-poop gray colored jerseys…
October 15th, 20117:55 pm

October 15th, 20117:56 pm
cabravesfan There is no point to spray “cheese”
That was his point…
No, yeah, I’ve tried it before, and never will—Grosses me out…
October 15th, 20117:57 pm
How can there be a review of a play without a team challenge? Or is that just another screwy Pac-12 rule?
October 15th, 20117:58 pm
cabravesfan Washington State is wearing baby-poop gray colored jerseys…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Oh my gosh!! I’m sorry…but that sounds exactly like my Grandpa when Grandma bought some yellow plates… Those plates weren’t even that particular yellow…but now whenever we see anything that’s a slightly off-yellow, we say that…
There are certain foods that should never come in spray cans. Also, Go-gurt scares me
October 15th, 20117:59 pm
Cab, excited about next Saturday. The Irish, and USC……..If The Irish win, I wont rub it in.Thats a big if?
October 15th, 20118:00 pm
And the Pac-12 refs at their finest again…overturned a clear fumble by claiming the ball “stayed loose in the receiver’s hands” even though the tv replay was pretty clear that he had caught it…
October 15th, 20118:01 pm
Depends on what defense of USC’s shows up. If the one that played Thursday sticks around, I like our chances…
Okay, blocked punt and a TD pass 10 zip Ga
Felt kinda bad for the Vandy punter when he dropped the snap.
October 15th, 20118:03 pm
It’s a baby-poopapalooza. And the sad part is, WSU has really nice uniforms normally. They are a really cool shade of red and silver…the all gray look is not attractive (they also have one of the best logos in the country, IMHO)
October 15th, 20118:05 pm
Should be a good game if the Irish plays like they have been playing, and if USC Plays a good game? It should be a battle, and some thing to watch………
nolie,watching the Rangers,and Tigers?
October 15th, 20118:06 pm
Also, Go-gurt scares me
Global Warming scares me
Can’t even think about it right now…will get me too worked up
October 15th, 20118:08 pm
Go-gurt…yeah, that’s kinda weird. But I don’t like yogurt, anyway…
It’s a baby-poopapalooza.
Haha, OK, that was…that shouldn’t have been funny…
And the sad part is, WSU has really nice uniforms normally. They are a really cool shade of red and silver…
Oh, that does sound nice. Like, I gotta say, even though I’m a GaTech fan, I do kinda like UGA’s regular uniforms—the white with the red helmets. Looks pretty good for an icky team…
I’ll talk about the sky than……..
jeffrey d Global Warming scares me
Well, I’ve got my new fann, now, so I’m ready…
October 15th, 20118:09 pm
This is their logo and sort of the right color (they have red helmets that seriously are GORGEOUS in color- I know that sounds odd…)
October 15th, 20118:10 pm
Oy- sorry for the MEGAlink…
October 15th, 20118:11 pm
And the helmet…
October 15th, 20118:12 pm
Global what????????Just weather patterns, and changing of the earth in my opinion, and leave it at that, and very little cause by man…….
Which doesn’t really do justice to how great the color is in person…
October 15th, 20118:13 pm
what? you were sorry that the first one was long enough, so you went and found an even longer one?
Well, I figured since I had already messed up the page, one more wouldn’t make a difference…
October 15th, 20118:14 pm
Nice ………….. Another fake punt works against Ga for a first down. Now a tailback pass for a TD
10 to 7 Ga
sure, all the heat and crap we spewed into the atmosphere every day for centuries didn’t do nuthin’………
October 15th, 20118:16 pm
prolly right cab. we will all live through it, mega-link or no
October 15th, 20118:17 pm
nolie: just way for scientist to ask for more money, and spending? Just my opinion. Don’t want to get into a war over it……..
Just weather patterns, and changing of the earth in my opinion, and leave it at that, and very little cause by man…….
Tell that to the polar bears
