Fellow Braves fans, let’s wait and see if the Philly trolls who delighted in our misfortunes have the guts to take the much-deserved heat from us on our Brave blogs! I doubt it. It would be tempting to log onto the Philadelphia Inquirer blogs and act like a classless jerk, rubbing salt in the Phair weather Phils phans’ phaces, but why waste the time stooping to their level. I can’t stand LaRussa but for these few games, I was a HUGE fan! As others have said, I’m sure the Philthy Phailures are re-thinking rubbing our noses in it during the three games of the season. Karma has a way of coming back to bite you. As I am no fan of the arrogant Brewers – Brat, Fatso, and Nutso, I will be pulling for the Tigers.

Kerryb, somehow La russa seems to inspire his players to leave their best effort each day on the field. They can say Bobby was better, but La russa’s style produces incredible results with less talent.

Dap,

Quentin was one of the players discussed at the trade deadline. He had 24 HR and 77 RBI, but he is a .252 hitter for his career.

That being said, I would be “ok” with him in LF, which would allow us to use Prado as a super Sub who fills in for Chipper at 3B, fills in for Quentin in LF, and fills in for Uggla at 2B (and if he learns to play RF, he could fill in for Heyward in RF).

I wouldnt be “thrilled” to have Quentin though.

Big differences between the Braves and the Phils in 2011. First of all payroll (yeah, that $25 million for Lee was well worth it, ’cause it brought them a title – oops, my bad!). Secondly, expectations: Philly fans foolishly expected nothing less than a championship, with some even ridiculously comparing these underachievers to the 1927 Yankees (LOL!). And finally the devoted Philly fans: when they were steamrolling along, they were so devoted. Can’t wait to read their pathetic comments criticizing their beloved Phils. Boo hoo, life’s so unfair!

Thought that a couple of days ago but I just don’t feel like the Brew Crew have enough pitching. I think its going to come down to the hitting and even though i’m not really rooting for the Cards I think their lineup is complete and just got through the toughest pitchers they’ll face all offseason from a group standpoint. If the Cards pen keeps up its production I give them the slight edge.

Manuel may now regret sweeping the Braves and keeping his starters in even during extra innings to ensure a Phillies win at the end of the season. The Cardinals were clearly the hot team at the end of the regular season.

I thought the Cardinals would play the Phillies much tougher than if the Braves met the Phillies in the playoffs. It just goes to show that the best team doesn’t necessarily make it to the World Series. It’s who is the hot team.

It really stinks to win 102 games in the regular season and not even make it the NL championship. I think I’ll celebrate with a Philly cheese steak sandwich.

I like watching the Braves lose merely because some of you act as if your life depends on games in May. We can all take great delight in the misfortune of others. It is funny to see teams that are favored get knocked off. The Braves are despised by millions in this country because of all the winning they’ve done. People love to watch the Braves choke. The venom and hate is in constant flow. Phils lose? Hahahahaha! Cards lose to the Brewers? Hell yes! T-Plush droppin’ F-bombs on La Russa’s genius? I’m swaggin’ up into that party!

In the end, the only team that’s worth anything is the team that wins the title. Anyone else is a loser, and the team that wins will end up suffering from the title hangover and start losing, too. I love it. All teams must die.

No sorrow for the Phils. You did it to yourselves. You could have let up on it those last 3 games and we would have been in the playoffs playing the Brewers while you faced the Dbacks. But NOOOOOO.

You had to go and open the door for the Cardinals knowing that they owned you this year and that you would be playing them.

So sorry.

October 8th, 2011
12:35 am

ATTENTION BRAVES……….

Are you watching these games (that you should be playing in)? Notice the energy from these teams? Notice they are not afraid to show emotion and pump their fist in the air? Notice that they all stand on the top step and watch their team play showing support instead of sitting on the bench and chewing red man or biting your fingernails? CAN WE SEE THIS IN 2012? Can this team stop acting like they are too flipping cool to even be on the field and look like a team that cares? I have to say that I could deal with losing better if I saw a team that cared. When did we see this from the Braves in 2011? Game 162. That is insane! I know our manager is fat and lazy but lets see some fire next season.

Look like a team that actually gives a flip. This city is bored with Braves baseball and need something to win us back in 2012 after the collapse. Hope anyone actually sees this and brings some energy to the team in spring training.

Maybe the Phillies can start appreciating the gut wrenching plus decade the Braves experienced of being the best team in the league or MLB, yet coming up with only one championship. It really does seem unfair that a team can be so dominant in the regular season and yet fail in the post-season… if the Phils are hurting, they have no idea yet the hurt Bravos fans have been experiencing.

Maybe the Filthys might start regretting playing so hard and rubbing our noses in the dirt in the last three games of the season, which rewarded them with playing the very scary Cardinals.
