Just great, I had to be top comment with that one.
October 7th, 201110:05 pm
WoW, #10 on the all-time hit parade.
October 7th, 201110:08 pm
Good grief, Trey and Nolie! You guys MUST have carpal tunnel!
October 7th, 201110:09 pm
The TBS announcers said something about Ernie Johnsons son????
Anyone hear what they said?
CARDS win, CARDS win, CARDS win.
October 7th, 201110:10 pm
Please tell me some program runs these blog numbers….otherwise, braveone should be committed instanter!
October 7th, 201110:12 pm
Braveone has a software program for that.
McFann O O o
#38! That’s how many Doubles BMac had in 2007!!…
October 7th, 201110:13 pm
I am not thinking braves get anything more than a righty bat to platoon with either prado or Heyward. Alex Gonzalez will be resigned….no doubt.
October 7th, 201110:14 pm
phil – no, he has a big list with tally marks…
Well, then does the blog have a BABIP? An OBP?
October 7th, 201110:15 pm
Yaddy Molina…… MLB catcher.
I’ll bet Mac peed a little…. watching him throw out Utley.
At least I made one list – thank goodness for a split squad game when I was doing PBP…
October 7th, 201110:16 pm
Vj – i wouldn’t doubt a board with marks with some of this crowd.
Bravefaninok – I didn’t catch what they just said but I know EJ’s son is in the hospital.
October 7th, 201110:17 pm
Sadly, i must announce the elimination of the Atlanta Dream….another title down the toilet!
TBS announced Tuesday that its playoff coverage will be missing its most familiar voice: lead game announcer Ernie Johnson. In a statement, Johnson said his son Michael, 23, “has muscular dystrophy and has been in intensive care for the last two weeks and is expected to remain hospitalized for several more weeks. At this time, my job is to be with Michael.”
October 7th, 201110:18 pm
Johnson, jr is in the hospital?
Wren is saying all the right things, so is Sheurholz. But their hands are cuffed financially with Jones and Lowe. Frank will have fits trying to rid of Derek even eating a huge piece of his salary. You guys do realize this, right?
Bottom line is that who is here will need to learn from this bad ending of the season. Nothing like a game changing star player is coming to atlanta. Forget it. Money ain’t there and they are not willing to trade any top prospect.
Andd I suppose a few of my comments were frivolous.
Maybe the efrim spelled backwards
Or the grocery storer exhibitionist
Teaching the little kid to swim
Well surely some of them pertained to baseball
October 7th, 201110:19 pm
Ok…tx for the clarification on EJ…
Yikes! That’s really sad…prayers for Ernie Johnson’s son (and the whole family).
October 7th, 201110:20 pm
Shame, Bat, shame….
Some of us, like me, never post drivel.
October 7th, 201110:22 pm
Oh, I never post drivel, either…I just figgered that whatever I say that gets no response musta gone over y’all’s heads…
Fire the Atlanta Dream coach!
Sorry to hear aboiut Ernie’s son.
October 7th, 201110:23 pm
I was wondering what prompted me to post 235 times in that January 11th blog but I see it was when Atlanta was immobile thanks to the ice storm. Boredom had struck.
phil, that’s okay. No one pays much attention to the Dream.
October 7th, 201110:25 pm
Thanks VJ…Ernie has had a rough year.
October 7th, 201110:26 pm
Yeah, Trey, i know….had no idea they were in the finals…same as last year when they were swept. Pitiful.
October 7th, 201110:27 pm
The Dream needs FG…
October 7th, 201110:29 pm
Well phil, we all had to do what we could to get to the mythical 10K plus, right.
I mean I care aboiut wOBA as much as the next but after 3000 comments on it what is there left to say.
I have a software program for my comments too too too too too….
October 7th, 201110:30 pm
Ah! So that’s what it was—thanks! I had you beat that day!…
And I had 229 on the December 13th Blog…? Wonder what was up that day…
My best to EJ’s son. Get well soon!
Yeah I had no idea who the Dream were, until I heard they were swept last year. I didn’t know their season started and finished again this year.
October 7th, 201110:32 pm
No doubt McCann led an xmas toy drive that day, McFann, and you couldn’t contain your glee…
October 7th, 201110:33 pm
Sure mcFann __
You shoiuld just add a swoosh to youir name
6 more outs and no more philies…
October 7th, 201110:34 pm
I wonder if the Cardinals can shut Philadelphia out. I sure hope so, as St. Louis isn’t doing much.
October 7th, 201110:35 pm
October 7th, 201110:36 pm
October 7th, 201110:37 pm
Hmm, McF. Looks like 12/13 was a variety of topics but from what I’m looking at there was some sort of rumor about how Blanton might be traded from the Phils. That upset you from what I’m reading.
T for Texas
hahahaha! Carlos Ruiz!
Come on cards, score a few here
October 7th, 201110:38 pm
There….that should get my count up so i can win tonight….sigh.
Good nite all.
Mac would’ve had him.
October 7th, 201110:40 pm
See ya, phil
October 7th, 201110:41 pm
Let’s go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would…but then people might think I was endorsing Niki…
Soph there was some sort of rumor about how Blanton might be traded from the Phils. That upset you from what I’m reading.
Ack!! Oh yeah, that was a frightening rumor… Although he wasn’t much help during that final game this year…but I’m not sure even Pelfrey or Snell would have helped at that point…
It seems odd to see players that play in the NL able to get successful bunt after successful bunt down. Maybe we should make a note to look into that ourselves.
October 7th, 201110:42 pm
Thank God we didn’t get that choker Berkman…
Damn it berkman
Nice AB, stupid Berkman.
October 7th, 201110:43 pm
October 7th, 201110:44 pm
I don’t see what makes Halladay so difficult for the hitters.
Dumbfound (Dumbfounded Again)
October 7th, 201110:45 pm
Now if the Dream had won, Wouldn’t it still be looked at not being a real championship for Atlanta ?!
I really hate the f***ing phillies…
October 7th, 201110:46 pm
Trey – sheer luck…
October 7th, 201110:47 pm
Man, they sho’ are ugly in Philadelphia.
October 7th, 201110:49 pm
If Carpenter gets out of the 8th wiht around 100 pitches, do you end him back for the 9th?
October 7th, 201110:51 pm
will Ventura be willing to run out on the field to back up his players or will he be afraid that the ump will give him a noogie??????????
October 7th, 201110:52 pm
Glad our catcher isn’t as pathetic as that guy…
Three outs left!
October 7th, 201110:53 pm
Carpenter in the ninth for the Cards.
Wow, Carpenter is unbelievable tonight. Incredible.
October 7th, 201110:54 pm
October 7th, 201110:56 pm
It would be nice to have both the Yankees and Phillies of the contention..fingers crossed.
Carpenter at 102 pitches with Utley, Pence and Howard due up. A real Grady Little moment for LaRussa coming up.
October 7th, 201110:57 pm
Go collapse somewhere else, Booby Jr.
October 7th, 201110:59 pm
Chris Carpenter has never pitched a 1-0 shutout
The way it has gone for the St Louis bullpne this year, I’d send out Carpenter.
October 7th, 201111:01 pm
This is amazing – the blog might actually reach 1,000 posts – who would have imagined…
The Phillies fans are cocky right now, but hopefully in three outs they will be singing a different tune.
October 7th, 201111:02 pm
Come on chris
Once it gets to 1,000 posts, then it needs 11,008 to tie the last blog.
October 7th, 201111:03 pm
Nolie, now I know you are trying to antagonize the blog!
October 7th, 201111:04 pm
Come on Cards, you can do this!
Press statement on the continuation of the Simpsons:
Homer Simpson, the beer-drinking patriarch of the yellow-skinned clan, said: “Woo Hoo! I outlasted Andy Rooney.”
October 7th, 201111:05 pm
Only and idiot would root for the phillies. Maybe holiest isn’t a braves fan I don’t know.
Getting nervous that the Phillies may tie it this inning.
October 7th, 201111:06 pm
Howard K’d to end the phillies season last year.
Utely is an all right guy
October 7th, 201111:07 pm
1st round for Phills. Think they’ll be all arrogant now? Yeah, it ain’t so easy is it Philly?
My dismay in our late season collapse is now tempered by the fact that we will be playing just as many games next week as will all three eastern corridor mega million dollar teams. Sweet!
Allright!! The Red Birds did it!! Phillies bite the dust!!!!
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
