Predictable. Rollins makes an error and Chipper gets out on his front foot and taps a ball to the pitcher. Nothing good ever happens for this offense. Everything is such a struggle and everything turns out poorly. The Braves organization seriously has to consider firing at least a portion of their pitching staff.

Delgado, the rookie, didn’t give up his second run to this same lineup until the 5th inning. Lowe, the vet, bested him by 2 innings fewer

What does that have to do with anything? We have to score to win, we didn’t win last night and we’re not winning now because we haven’t scored. So far if not for a bad decision on a bunt he’s given up only 2 runs, not 5 or 10. We’re still in this game but the braves offense keeps putting up zero’s.

something has to change next season

I dunno, Lee. I do like how the lineup is currently constructed. I just don’t like how all the bats seem to go cold at the same time. That’s the real problem; the problem isn’t that we have bad players.

And I guess if I “have” to point any fingers (which I don’t like to do), I’d say it mostly rests on Prado and Heyward. But I don’t anticipate either of them being as bad next year. But moving Prado back to a super-UT role wouldn’t be a bad option if a good everyday LF can be found.

Yes.

I would rather see the Braves back into the postseason and live with whatever happens than see them collapse and miss it entirely.

This is not the NBA where you are better off finishing 9th in the conference and missing the playoffs as opposed to 8th and getting swept in the first round.

There is no reason to hit a weak grounder to the pitcher on the first pitch. That obviously wasn’t a pitch he was looking for yet he put a weak swing on it anyway.

This team looks done and defeated. You can tall in their demeanor. There is no firey ledership that they desperately need.
