Lowe is facing a real lineup. He’s throwing a shutout if he’s facing braves hitters. You have to score to win. Give the phillies hitters some credit, they are doing their job. Can’t say the same about ours.

No Braves pitchers can actually limit the damage. Anytime they allow a runner into scoring position with less than two outs the runner scores. Conversely, the Braves have trouble scoring runs with the bases loaded and no outs because nobody on that team is capable of executing a fundamental approach at the plate. Opposing pitchers probably laugh about facing the inept Braves offense.

This inning is ALL on Brian McCann for screaming to Lowe to throw at third. Anyone with some sense knew Ruiz was already safe before Lowe even threw the ball.
He has the worst batting average in MLB since the date he came off the DL and his defense is atrociously terrible. He just cost the Braves a very important run in that inning.
Brian McCann has seriously destroyed this team and is the person that should wear it around the neck if the Braves don’t make it to the playoffs. He is awful in every category of the game right now.

Wthere a Brave fan alive that actually thought Lowe was going to pitch well tonight. I don’t so much blame him…he just sucks….as I blame the manager for running him out there every turn no matter how bad he is. Why not Tehehan or anyone tonight? This game started with a 4-5 run deficit by virtue of him pitching.
Fredi is awful, awful. For some time wish Ozzie Guillen would come here, shake things up, get rid of this country club mentality. The only thing that matters to the Braves is if someone is a good clubhouse guy. Forget ability. You would think Schafer was a HOFer as much as the Braves were sad about him leaving.
Bourn is the most competitive guy on our team…and our newest Brave. Just sick to death of this “nice guy” thing all day every day. NO WAY does Lowe start tonight’s game! Had a 0% chance at success. Thanks for the “loyalty” Fredi. Pathetic.

yea good move gonzalez on starting Derek Lowe once again. 3-0 already. pitiful. now that inning i dont care u get the sure out at first u minimize the damage to 1 .. instead they gambled and it burns them yet again. Better hope for a miraculous comeback by this pathetic offense or a miracle in Houston. With Derek Lowe on the mound this game is already over. way to gooo.. Go Tampa . A team that has balls and guts and a Real Team. How many times can Gonzalez just stick with the status quo. Hmm…I was confident in a win all game long…..really thought Lowe would crank out a solid performance here.
Must say, I don’t even think it’s his fault…if the coach can’t see how poorly he’s been…and can’t pull the plug on the guy…then what else is he suppose to do quit? He’s going to take the mound when given the chance.
This is on the coach to shut him down for the year. These games mean far too much to roll out a man that just doesn’t have it anymore and hasn’t for some time.
Sorry Lowe, I hope to god you aren’t in the rotation on my Braves vacation next summer……I managed to schedule the Giants series this summer without you and hope to do the same down the road. I won’t pay to see this.
Here’s hoping we explode with the bats!
