Thank you Parrish for your input to the team.
DOB … In an earlier post, someone called the Bourn / Victorino match-up “even.” You agree? If the Phillies offered you Victorino for Bourn next year, you passing?
Here is another man that has had a rough september. and here is another man that has had a rough september. and here is another man that has had another rough september. bla bla bla bla.
….is anyone ever gonna tell heyward to STAND CLOSER TO THE PLATE? i mean if he is gonna continue trying to pull the ball, which he will, why doesnt he get closer? his arms are long enough that he could pull one in the right-hand batters box if he were to get closer. RIDICULOUS larry parrish
Anyone else really depressed about Jason? I used to get so excited watching him play. Now i dont even like seeing him come up to the plate. What the hell happened?
This offense makes my eyes hurt. I really get tired of seeing weak pops on the infield and strike outs. All season long the team has looked lost at the plate and seemingly had no approach or game plan. They’re just at the plate guessing and hacking.
R.Michael, Bourne and Victorino are different players. Victorino has developed some power but is not nearly as fast as Bourn. I think Victorino is a more solid defender too, slightly. They are both REALLY good players but I believe I would go with Victorino. I remember when Bourn was a Phillie too, saw him go from 1st to 3rd on a pickoff throw that got by the 1st basemen.
That was a great trade for the Phillies – won them a WS with Lidge.

Jerry, that’s funny, I have never noticed the skip thing Lowe does. I will have to pay attention to that.
Yeah Trey, it’s like he dances off to his left and mainly when the pitch was not good.

Don’t bother pointing out that 4 of his [Teheran's] ER were in 2.2 IP of relief in that 12-2 loss to the Mets.
In his starts, his ERA is 3.68. Sure his innings don’t rack up. In his 3 starts, he’s pitched 14.2 innings.
In Lowe’s last 3 starts, he’s totaled 14.1 IP while giving up 13 ER (10.64 ERA). — N8
I would just point out that Lowe allowed three runs and six hits in 6-1/3 innings his last start. That’s one more quality start than Teheran’s had.
