doc holliday…..how on earth is that freddies fault?
Might as well be 10-0 with this offense.
Can we score a run to tie it up?
YA, I think so! We average 1.7 runs for Blowe. We in great shape at the moment.
Doesn’t feel like a clinch night does it?
September 27th, 20117:18 pm
This team better put it’s money where Chippers mouth is cause I’m sick of “there’s always tomorrow”. How about we play as if there is no tomorrow? How about one win guarentee’s at least a tie for the wild card.
stizz (Braves & Falcons fan til death)
LOL at that commercial having to brighten the screen yet advertise for good skin.
Cab….nicely spotted….you must be in the 7th inning or so already? How we look? lol
Bourn put some charge to that ball
September 27th, 20117:19 pm
knew that wasn’t out
What’s with all the fly balls out of Bourn lately?
Rob from SC
Bourn needs to hit the ball on the ground
Have faith. That’s all I am going to tell you
Why isn’t Bourn bunting more to get on?
I´d pick Jack Wilson or Brooks Conrad over Lowe…….. only Linebrink would be a worse option to start this game than Lowe………… even the water boy could do better…………..but oh right, he last september magic, LOL……….stupidity at its best.
Bourn swinging for the fences….
screw you victorino
Game, set and match. The winter meetings can’t get here quick enough.
Okay, so Lowe gives up a home run early. At least it was a solo shot and that’s all he gave up. He looked good otherwise. He’ll get into a groove. I just wish he would get away from that goofy looking skip thingie he does on some of his deliveries. Now c’mon offense, bear the f*** down!
The commercial was over so quick I know a lot of you missed the website address for tickets.

Prado just waving at the ball these days…..
2 up 2 down…
odds of prado being here next year?
Prado swings at EVERYTHING!!!!!
your leadoff man trying to hit a home run just get on
Prado is horrible… Trade him and get Quentin
I love all the fans on the blog that complain that the Braves quit, yet give up on them after half an inning…
Prado is pathetic. What a loser
Another bad swing by Prado..pathetic
Really need Bourn and Prado to get on base. Not good.
How many b**ch slap swings will Prado have tonight?
I knocked an “e” off after that Prado AB.
September 27th, 20117:21 pm
Oswalt looks on tonight
How about a little patients? Make this moron pitch
that’s right braves work him
Orioles take a 1-0 lead.
I don’t think you can trade Prado just because he had one bad year. He had too much stuff on his plate this year (switching position from IF to LF and he was on DL for quite sometime)
Lowe is dealing, only one run an inning. If he last five, will only be down five to zip.
WTF man, why is Bourn hitting it in the air? He is not a homerun hitter, just hit the damn ball on the ground and use your fricking speed.
Well, so far we are not going up there with a patient approach. Bourn and Prado couldn’t wait to swing the bat.
Does this dumb team go to sleep every night and forget to be more patient at the plate? You would think that after 162 games these idiots would have learned to take a few pitches early to see what he has got.
Which will we see tonight. The patented bases loaded no out strand all the runners, or the patented take the lead only to give it right back up the next inning. Or just a good old fashioned shut out.
September 27th, 20117:22 pm
dang Vladimir is still swing his bat
There goes the perfect game! Thought it might be the third or fourth inning before they got a base runner.
Bourn and bunting, what gives. You can get hits that way, practically half of Schafer’s hits were bunts.
switching positions shouldnt cause a 40 point drop in batting average
why Uggla… when he threw 4 ball in a row?
Braves have no heart!!
Great AB Dan!!!
COme on danny boy, earn your paycheck!
The man who can’t spell “patience” is calling Oswalt a moron
September 27th, 20117:23 pm
Wow Uggla. These guys are morons. Truly morons.
Goodness, our hitters can be pretty impatient at the plate.
No Prado doesn’t swing at everything, he swings at bad pitches. He needs to try swing earlier in the count when they’re throwing him fastballs right over the plate. He doesn’t swing until he’s down 0-2.
We need better plate awareness
so the guy who doesn’t like being a table setter sees the most pitches that inning
Uggla is determined to continue his post seasonless streak….sigh
This is a replay game, right? I mean, I’ve seen this inning before. Bourn flies out, Prado grounds out to second, Chipper walks, Uggla flies out.
Four batters. 3 hacking away and one was patient. Chipper walked. Gotta get better than that.
1957 Braves Fan
Chipper saw more pitches than Bourn and Prado.
Because that pitch was over the plate, thigh high…
We need hitters to take Chippers approach of working the counts.
What the heck was Uggla doing?
Bourn for some reason thinks he is a homerun hitter now
Prado- not much needs to be said. He is a utlity player.
wow dan he just walked chipper
September 27th, 20117:24 pm
is Chipper the only one who will work the count anymore???? What the ???
Yep. The offense showed no life outside of a harmless walk with two outs. More overaggressive approaches resulting in weak outs. They have 24 more outs to play with so hopefully they can somehow take advantage.
McCann and Prado: Swings of Excellence
Dan Uggla has plenty of power but he’s not a middle of the order hitter.
more like No. 6 hitter.
Jerry, that’s funny, I have never noticed the skip thing Lowe does. I will have to pay attention to that.
The bats gotta get going tonight. It’d be asking a lot for the Astros to win back to back games.
A 1 run deficit to these limp wristed Bobby Soxers is like a six run deficit to a real contender.
WTF, I didnt see it, did he swing at the first pitch?
Sad when a 1-0 lead in the first inning of play feels more like a 5-0 lead with the Braves anemic offense. Not that it matters much now…but I would have liked to see someone else batting second instead of Prado in this lineup.
September 27th, 20117:25 pm
Our hitters look like my wife on The Show PS3. Ha!
Parrish just popped open his new bag of seeds.
Prado does swing at everything. As a matter of fact, it was in the Mets scouting report from last week.
September 27th, 2011
doc holliday…..how on earth is that freddies fault?
You still have to ask?
Are you telling me that you agree to see Lowe on the mound?
He should have been replace on this rotation by Martinez long time ago.
Or Teheran. He could have given some starts to Teheran trying to set him up for a game like todays.
As always, this team sticks to the player that started the season just to show what? Loyalty?
What about showing some Loyalty to the other 24 players…………..
Chippers face right after Utley hit that ball says it all………….they are all tired of Lowe, and I dont think that started this season.
September 27th, 20117:26 pm
Does it really matter? This team is dead anyway!!!
D Lowe’s stuff doesn’t look that bad except for that mistake he made to Utley. He put that ball right on the middle
No Wandy tonight. We can’t rely on Houston tonight.
Because that pitch was over the plate, thigh high…
Braves hitters have squandered many very hittable pitches lately by fouling them off or popping them up. Got to do something with those pitches.
September 27th, 20117:27 pm
Lowe looking halfway decent.
Lowe does look good, but we are so bad at scoring runs
I cannot believe the Red Sox and the Braves are both in danger of missing the postseason. I fyou would shave said that a month ago you would have been locked up for craziness.
Uggla missed a hanging slider right down the middle. Patience not the problem, just execution….
T for Texas
So I guess it is asking waaay too much for the Astros to sweep. Although that is the most humorous road to the post-season.
My comment was in response to someone wondering why Dan swung at that pitch. My point was, it was a good pitch to hit. Dan just didn’t do much with it, but it was a strike, even if he didn’t swing…
September 27th, 20117:28 pm
Chip Cary. Says nothing original. Obvious everybody here knows that, but I feel it’s worth repeating. Anybody that says being a good announcer doesn’t take talent just compare Chip to his late dad.
First team to 27 outs wins.
Doc….are we talking about the same Martinez? the one who can rarely pitch with the same type of consistency after back to back outings? the one who sometimes seems to lose all sense of control? or we talking about the one who seems to falter after about the 2nd inning while doing long relief mop up duty? I like the guy, but a starter he is not
Come on, offense!
September 27th, 20117:29 pm
Disagree with DOB with Lowe pitching tonight he worst than awful more like sucks. 3o more starts next year with Freddi. There isnt a team out there dumb to trade for him if we would pay 10 mil.He will be ouy of this game by 4th inning. Freddi the ass he is takes Minor out when its. Braves are hard to figure out never thought Prado, McCann and Heyward would be this bad.Milky 200 hits tells us we dont need a hitting coach. Those three along with JJ should not get a penny more than there making now.
good job Lowe!
runs runs runs!
Easy inning for Lowe
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
September 27th, 20117:30 pm
Gosh, I hate this McDonald’s commercial…
Oswalt is gonna pitch tough, but not long. When he gets pulled thats when the Braves can take their shots.
Good inning for Lowe. Start it off Freeman. We score in his inning because Agon and Heyward are up.
Lowe looks like the Lowe of Last years post season.
If we get to the post season and Lowe pitches like this I think we have an outside shot at winning a series but first we have to score some runs.
Lowe is awesome today. What great movements in his pitches. Haven’t seen this from Lowe in last 2 months.
FIRE FREDI GOSHATLIZ
September 27th, 20117:31 pm
I know, just chiming in saying that it was a good pitch to hit as many have been that the braves hitters have done nothing with. Scream about patience, scream about approach but if these hitters don’t start doing more with these very hittable pitches were screwed.
We are in business!! 1.7 runs on the way!!!!!!
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
